    Also amusing is Fineman's basic premise that this is all a "distraction". Calling it a distraction has been the calling card of the lemming-like MSM lately; clearly they all got their marching orders from the DNC, as usual. And Fineman is the number 1 water-carrier for the DNC. When they say "jump", old Howie says "how high" while he is on the way up.

    Good to see Obama's own report showed that he didn't do anything wrong. Didn't see that happening.

    So when Bush releases a report saying his staff did nothing wrong in the run up to Iraq, will all you Obama apologists accept that as truth too?

    I'm surprised at you, Howard. Buying into a media-generated "scandal" that doesn't even exist. Even Obama's enemies are acknowledging that there's no "there" there. But you just blithely post this article, stirring the pot for all it's worth.

    The bottom line is that the news is NOT about the media, and you guys are out of control. There are serious issues: the economy, two wars, health care, trade.... and this is not one of them. It's good to expose a crooked politician. It is not good to spend two weeks speculating about the culpability of the President Elect who was already cleared by the Prosecuting Attorney.

    Please stop manufacturing news and go back to reporting it.

    I have been listening to Fix 'News' for the more than two hours since the Obama report was released. There hasn't been even the slightest suggestion or innuendo that there is more 'there'. Fix, I'm disappointed in you! Have you succombed to that radlib disease? Are they also now blind dupes of Obama?

    I just almost have to be sympathetic toward all those here who have made elaborate 'analyses', projections and predictions how this would consume Obama. I'm almost sorry for you guys and gals...

The wheels are rolling off the wagon among the Dems. Charlie Rangel[D-NY] is up to his eyebrows in FBI warrants. Chris Dodd[D-Ct] is getting a harder look by the Feds at his COUNTRYWIDE connections than heretofore,an ongoing subject of a federal grand jury. Emanuel is out on a limb looking for a bus to get thrown under. As with Clintons unfortunate ''presidential waivers'' and ''DADT'' in the early days of his presidency, Obama is now faced with a huge distraction,one that may embroil far more people within his new administration other than simply Rahm.
    This becomes merely another page of BOARD GAMES that I warned Democrats about during the campaign. To deaf ears, I observed back in October and before [to the utter ignorance of Fineman and the rest of the NEWSWEAK staff,who were trying then to get their guy in],that Fitz would move from Rezko to the governors office,and eventually make ties between Blago and any persons hired by Obama to serve in his WH. The gaming of SEIU I was cognizant of already,as well as the possible,now almost certain ,involvement by Blago,and his Chicago chieftains who are joined in some manner[as Rezko is to Jarrett], to the new Obama administration. To defray any impediment of Fitz's ongoing investigations,BOARD GAMES must continue,and justice must be served.

    Let's compare. The BIG reason Obama is not complying with Isikoff's request to release all documents relating to Gov. Blagoyevich is simple. U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzpatrick asked Obama not to release any documents until Fitzpatrick completed his investigation. In other words, the media is putting Obama on blast for cooperating with an investigation and federal investigator, and complying with that investigator's request. Compare Obama's actions with the behavior of Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and President Bush. Even today Rove and Cheney are refusing to release public records as means of covering up their heinous crimes against America. George Bush constantly insisted that as president he was above the law. Where were all the sl-called journalists when this was going on?
    Furthermore, Obama has called for Blagoyevich's resignation. Blagoyevich has called Obama names that are unprintable on this website. Democrats in Illinois have spear-headed the effort to remove Blagoyevich from office. Could you imagine a so-called maverick Repuglican like John McCain demanding that Bush be impeached?
    The Blagoyevich scandal proves that we should only elect Democrats. When Democrats mess up, the scandal gets # 1 news coverage. Republicans get a get-out-jail-free card. Why is this?

          I arrived at NW two weeks before the general seeking info due to all the hate, lies, smears and propaganda perpetrated by my party in this election. I saw constant recapitulations of those here by name-calling LIVs like you here. FactCheck and Snopes had to do so many debunks only because there were so many lies. Of countless requests for anyone to debunk any of those debunks, no one ever did, once. Instead, as you are doing now, the LIVs just dismissed those sources as radlib. No facts, just cries and name calling, like you do.

          Btw, why are you stooping so low as to come to NW? I'm sure that you will justify yourself without calling yourself the names you so liberally apply to everyone who does not take your proclamations as fact.

    Oh, get over yourselves. The media are simply angry because they will on vacation that week, and had nothing much to talk about this past week. There's a difference between "transparency" and responding to press "subpoenas." What's next, copies of every piece of paper or electronic transmission in the White House and Executive Office? And much as I'm impressed with Fitzgerald, why should the President-Elect commit to keeping him because YOU demand it? That would be a horrible precedent for the future. (He could appoint a new US Attorney and designate Fitzgerald to stay on as special prosecutor, with same effect on Blago case and none on future appointments.)

    This is the cheesiest political scandal and puts me to sleep every time the press runs the stories on Blago. Maybe Emanuel tipped off the Feds about Blago, maybe that's why the delay? Maybe this, maybe that.

    Who cares, ultimately - we want Obama to focus on the economy and on much bigger issues. Let's hope this sideline, stupid scandal gets out of the way. Blago hasn't been charged with anything yet, and there is no proof that we know of that he actually did anything wrong.

    Why all the endless speculation? Just call an election for the Senate seat - there really is little choice given the circumstances. If it goes to a Republican, then so be it. They're all (the GOP) in the doghouse anyhow, and one more of them won't help much

      Of course, your comments completely ignore that this report is being purposely delayed until Christmas week; which certainly implies that The Messiah's team is trying to manage the news cycle and bury a potentially embarassing story.

      If this was a Republican in this situation, you would be the first to be screaming for congressional hearings, etc, probably chaired by that blowhard Barny Frank.

    My point was if Clinton had done something / anything 9-11 shouldn't have even happened. You ought to check who you are quoting on this sight.. "Got anymore parroted talking points to spew or are you ready for your cracker?"

    No I actually personally know people serving in our military that feel that way. How much service have you done? When have you even left your safety zone and done anything. If you feel so strongly about Afghanistan are you going to join and serve now that Obama is President and feels that we need a push for more troops over there.

    All of this happened under Clintons watch???.tell me ONE THING that he ever did to change the course. So yes, Bush had only been President 9 months when 9-11 happened. What was he suppose to be able to do in 9 months that Clinton shouldn???t have already done in his 8 years???talk about ???two term memory loss???. And now you have to really wonder, when you realize that Clinton had already started his funding raising even before he left office. Who was in bed with who?
    And I???ve admitted all along that I think we went to Iraq to soon. Should of focused more on Afghanistan, but hindsight is 20/20. Does that mean that I think Bush and his people made up fake documents and lied. NO. I have read and done some research from a variety of sources and YES mistakes got made that can go without saying. But as other people have stated Democrats in Congress also voted for the war, but somehow they come off smelling like roses.
    And as far as the death of 4,000 service members. I feel for everyone of them. I have quite a few friends over there and more going, so I'm personally invested in the whys. But I'm not going to sit here, use the freedoms that they are dying for to spread hate and lies. And I truly believe as a lot of the people i know that they would rather fight the fight there than here on our own soil. And no matter what wrongs you think Bush and his crew did. They (the terrorists) started this and they weren't just going to go away and place nice. Somebody had to make the hard decision and in a way I'm glad it wasn't me, but atleast Bush did something. Better than Clinton who sat around and did nothing as our service members died overseas.

      To parody Bill Clinton, it depends on what "there" means. If "there" is Afganistan and Pakistan, the headquarters of the Taliban and Al Qeida, that's all good. If "there" is Iraq, it was wrong. Not only wrong but the invasion was based on evidence cooked up by Bush/Cheney. They wanted Sadaam's butt so bad that they turned away from Bin Laden and invaded a country where the terrorist weren't. Did they concieve that this act would kill somany of our young soldiers. No, but it was wrong and they knew it was wrong and thwy did it anyway. They rely, and correctly so, that dupes like yourself will defend them until hell freexes over. Why defend the lie? If you want to say the world's better off without sadaam, no one would disagree but aiding and abetting the hoax insults every Man and Women who have ever served in the Military and will haunt you until you pass on.

To think that Bush/Cheney had the power to convince the Brits to help cook up false data and then be able to completely falsify everything, is just funny. Other people like you constantly are talking about what an idiot Bush and his crew are, but at the same time you want us to believe that he and his crew are these amazing masterminds of the worlds biggest lie. You really can't have it both ways...you can't have your "yellow cake" and eat it to. From what I remember reading and it also depends are who you are reading it from. Saddam already had yellow cake, the question is whether he was looking to purchase more. You like to avoid the fact that it has been proven that he had already used chemical warfare in the past.
        If anyone insults the Men and Women of our military it is people like you. You come on here and talk about how they are dieing for nothing. You are the ones that Dishonor them. You love using that number 4,000. So from what it sounds like you only have a problem with our men/women dieing if the number sounds good. Where was your worry, concern, your outrage when our guys died in Khobar , USS Cole?????? Not enough for you to care about. As far as you not seeing me rebuttal your charge???.the real question is where is your proof???who are your sources, where have you gotten your information.
        I am going to take my own advice like brydges reminded me. I???m not wasting my time. Tried to debate and all you did was come back with the same regurgitated info and nothing new to add. No real facts to back up your point.

        I fail to see the rebuttal to my charge that Bush/Cheney cooked up the evidence that direstly led to the deaths of 4000+ of our bravest young service Women and Men. I don't see any rebuttal to my charge that the Republicans are led by the dispicable group i listed. Attacking Bill Clinton may be fair game but what on earth does it have to do with the charges i leveled. You were doing better with the uneducated line.

          If I remember correctly, didn't Sadam say he had WMD's? Didn't the UN security council vote on a resolution? Didn't the UK, France, Germany, Russia, China, Australia, Spain, Egypt, and a couple others...all support our efforts. Seems like your giving Bush/Cheney a lot of credit for a huge conspiracy. I'm the last to argue Bush is not a dipsh!t, seems wierd how people claim what an idiot this guy is...but give him credit for largest conspiracy in the history of the planet. Just a thought.

The intelligence was collected from mideast informants and believed to be true by the U.S, Britain, and countless other goverments not to mention the dems in congress who voted to go to war. Saddam said himself he mislead the world into thinking he had WMDs. What you want to hear is Bush and Cheney are responsable for everything wrong in your life.     The point isn't necessarily education it is the calibar of the person. So they (and you) might think you are more educated than types like me better than me, but you'll always be wrong I am still a better person and always will be. We can teach monkeys and gorillas how to do sign language...and the way you represent yourself on these posts is nothing short of a baboon with a piece of paper. So to be honest I'm not intimidated by anybodys piece of paper and never will be...because most of them don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to standing on principle. I can always go to college and learn more, you sound like you have always been and will always be a pathetic human being (lke the little kid who never got over the "look at me" syndome "aren't I just the greatests") that is miserable and wants to make everyone around them is miserable too.

There are dodges. Your party of hate is on the road to extinction. None of you have the courage to standup and admit it. Instead you try to dumb down the conversation, switch the subject to the commenter, try to confuse the issue. What irks you is that i'm not going away. I'll continue to attack your party of hate. Right nowI'm doing this just for drill, but when the next election rolls around, no attack from the party of hate will go unchallenged. In 2010 the Democrats will gain 3-5 more seats in the Senate. In 2012 the beating your party got in 2008 will be a walk in the park next to the defeat you'll suffer. By 2020, the GOP will fade into obscurity and a new moderate party will emerge to contest the Democrats. Like it or lump it, you're on the losing side as long as you continue to embrace the hate.
