Perhaps an unintended effect of our presence in Afghanistan and Iraq is that of a "lightening rod". The Jihadist are now swarming around our troops and hopefully not concentrating on targets here. Better to fight 'em over there then over here! Our troops have volunteered to take the "heat" for us and are far better trained and equipped to do it than the occupants of world trade center were.

The soldiers laughed, alas but to themselves. They become the joke because the rest of the people and especially Bush are all happy staying in their comfortable homes while the soldiers are risking their lives for no guarannteed future for those who survived. A few hours of forced entertainment would not make any difference. Why not bring them all back for Christmas!

Yeah, why don't we do that and then have a sign that says hey come attack us where we are now. Oh and please make sure and plan all of your attacks without any opposition in your motherlands.

The last person doesn't know what he/ or she is talking about. A joke of ourselves? We have a job to do, andmost of us do it with more pride than you. We work 7 days a week/24 hours a day. I am a soldier and I am in iraq right now. I know what I'm talking about. Sure Iraq sucks, but what can you do? I signed the paper and I live up the Army Values. We fight so people can live comfortably. We fight so the president can make decisions comfortably. We sacrifce our christmases and birthdays, so you can celebrate yours.

Have you seen any attacks successfully carried out on American Soil since 9/11?

I just had the pleasure of watching Mr. Black and his USO gang out here in Afghanistan. The guy is hilarious, and we all appreciate him taking the time to come on out. We are still imitating him here. Thanks to you Mr. Black!

Law makers are fighting for 17 billion dollers bail out for Auto Industry which is going to keep these comapnies running and millions of jobs will be secured. How can they spend trillions of dollers in Iraq war??? What did US and the world gain from Iraq war?? Result of one mistake -- tens of thousands of life and loss of trillions of dollers.

War and battle field not fun. Iraq war is a costly mistake which took 1000s of soldiers and ordinary people lives. Forget about billions of dollers spent in war. The economy would have been in much better position had US not gone for the Iraq war. All the billions of dollers spent would have been handy now. On the other side, woeld is more dangerous now as US did not do much in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Infact US paid, billions of dollers to Pakistan govt to get their support. what did we get in return from Pakistan?? Attacks on Nato forces and attacks in India. All were planned and executed from pakistan. Hope US will spend the trillions of money wisely and make the world safe than dangerous.

A few hours can make a huge difference in a busy deployment. Not all USO shows are fun, trust me been there done that. However, it's a change from the norm.
