What no disgusting rich Hollywood types!!!!!!

  • Posted By: greed is 0 @ 07/22/2009 4:33:25 PM

Newsweek has circled the carcass but missed the landing. It's not just the rich in these pictures who have or do act badly. It's MOST of them.

The acid responses to angry people who are disgusted by the abusive, condescending excesses of the wealthy miss the point as well.

The folks who have LOST their jobs, been BETRAYED by unremorseful TRAITORS and cast aside like yesterday's dirty underwear by these poor excuses of humanity don't want the wealth that have created voracious, greedy money monsters.

The good hard-working people of this nation just want the spoiled brat pigs to go home, be quiet and enjoy their pirates' booty without interfering with the nation, its industry, its laws or its airwaves so they can get on with their lives without worrying about "the man" or "the good 'ol boys".

If we never hear from them again it will be too soon.

That's not likely though, is it. You see it's the unjustified EGOS of these bloated sociopaths that push them to the brink. They actually BELIEVE that they're something special. Sad really.

They are convinced that they're all of that while all they are is money rich. Take away the money and you are left with nothing more than a sorry excuse that eats, drinks, defecates and whines just like everyone else on the planet.

    Jealous? Nah. Just go away.

We need to blame ourselves for the behavior of the greedy. As long as people have a place to sleep, food to eat and a TV set to get lost in we tend to ignore the bad behavior. The real problem is the connection to Congress and how these wealthy people are able to continue to steal from society. There needs to be term limits and every congressman needs to be investigated for special interest gifting. You know that when 80% of the population wants something and we can't get it there has to be special interest holding up progress for greed.

This is what makes a mockery of the enforcement of crimes involving petty theft. I see some poor bastard being tackled by a thug with a badge because he's "entrapped" in a sting operation selling fake bags of marijuana for $10 on tru TV Wealthy criminals are catered to by our elected representatives for campaign funding. Law enforcement, DA's and "others" want to see letter of the law prosecution all the while violating constitutionally protected civil rights. Authority is just another word for corruption, lies, and special privilege. I see no virtue in power, wealth, or authority, and alot of assumptions about the virtues of those who possess them.

      "ABSOLUTELY!

I think stealing your fellow man's money is a sickness like alcoholism or drug abuse, but there is still no excuse for it because there's always help out there for any sickness if you want the help. I believe it's a weakness in yourself for over entitlement.

The people or organozations who lost money are somewhat also responsible for thier loss. They expected (and some got) terrific returns on thier investments. They were happy to get a good regualr payback and hoped that they would continue. The HAD to be aware that something was wrong there. Thier rate of return was so much highere than other investment opportunities. The knew there might be some hanky-panky going on but didn't care as long as they got theirs. MANY of those investors got MUCJ more back than they paid in and were evern expecting more. GREEDY !!

Oldfart1 has it exactly right! How many of the "victims" would have blown the whistle on Madoff or withdrew their money if they knew their was corruption but kept getting their returns? What Madoff did was disgusting and there were people feeling privileged to be linked with him as long as the money appered to roll and others standing in line to get into his favor. lloyd

I still would like to see a power shift. A move to take care of those who cannot be taken care of.
For starters, I agree with the late George Carlin, where he says that, for the homeless, let's take GOLF COURSES and turn them into land for the homeless. Why not? It's a pointless, meaningless, mindless game, taking up way too much land, it's a game played predominantly by the white well to-do, why not give the poor this land? You'd have 2 Rhode Islands and a Delaware taken up by the space used to play this pointless game.

I don't think it's funny that these thieving scum get to enjoy their spoils. On the contrary, they should thrown in jail with all their money taken to pay off their debts, fines and institutional boarding. When their time is served they should be thrown out into the street with nothing. Now that would be funny.

The Jews have no fear, they own the whole goddamn country, Jewmerica, from school teachers that teach our kids, how important Israel is for democracy, while they corrupt America to ignore the USA Constitution, and obey the bible that 'god' wrote, where 'god' chose and gave Israel to be FOR JEWS ONLY, all the way through to the court system where the Jew judges give Jew 'just us' to their Jew brothers. Not only do the steal our money, they have corrupted Amrerica's political system to kill, die and pay for the 'righti' of Israel to be FOR JEWS ONLY. Ameirca used to be the land of the free, home of the brave. Now i'ts Jewmerica land of the idiots, home of the slaves of the Jews.

Madoff needs to be punished appropriately. This is just ridiculous, he screws over the American public, the justice systems basically just gives him a slap on the wrist, and then WE get slapped in the face by Newsweek.

Rob a bank and go to jail. Steal 50 billion and become king of the world living in a Manhattan penthouse. Jeffrey Katzenberg should produce a movie about Bernie; directed Steven Spielberg and starring John Malkovich as Bernie; Zsa Zsa Gabor as his wife; Kevin Bacon as the initial whistle blower that was blown off by the SEC; and written by Eric Roth. I would not pay a red cent to see it but it would be ironic.

    Hate the criminal rich!!

  • Posted By: kj-in-huskernation. @ 02/13/2009 9:00:54 PM

What are you talking about!? Yes the subprime mortgages lets talk about that. Last I checked subprime was a risky move on the bank's part...right? Meaning the banks (or the rich) gave mortgages to people who should not have qualified. So they could make money on them. Don't you dare put all the blame for this mess on the average American.

Let???s not confuse rich with Criminal. Mattoff and those like him who lie and misrepresent are criminal who happen to be rich ??? and those people I loath for what they do to others rich or poor. Rich people who their own efforts or others have wealth should not be hated but maybe envied???

  • Posted By: nickhenry @ 02/13/2009 8:52:18 PM

Don't blame the rich it's the poor's stupidity that caused them to be rich in the first place. Dont forget the subprime mortgages. Folks took out mortgages knowing they don't have enough income to make monthly payments. the overrun on real estate caused prices to be inflated, this make it difficult for responsible buyers to afford inflated price houses.

  • Posted By: kj-in-huskernation. @ 02/13/2009 8:49:58 PM

I agreek, those that took the subprime mortgages to live in their huge homes are also to blame...but they whould have NEVER received the loan without the greedy lenders.

  • Posted By: nickhenry @ 02/13/2009 8:45:38 PM

don't blame the rich for gaining more wealth especially in the mortgage madness. The people who took subprime mortgages, who dont earn enough to pay back their jumbo loans are to be blammed for their own down fall. They are the ones that cause qualified folks for not being able to afford a home because the pricees are so inflated. So dont blame the rich it's the poor's stupidity that gave the rich wealth in the first place.

We don???t hate them? That???s news to me! I will say I loathe them! $100,000+ office renovations while your company is on the verge of bankruptcy? Flying private planes when asking for handouts. Living in a penthouse when you???ve mismanaged thousands of hard working American???s investments. And I could go on and on???..What???s to like, tell me that?
