Just waiting for them all to get caught in another lie

    • Posted By: RedWhiteBlueEast @ 12/19/2008 6:49:54 PM

With no real accountability what will it matter if they get "caught"?

It's so disgraceful how the media is making a big deal out of this. Most of these people can afford the loss. Yeah they might have to sacrifice by keeping that year old Mercedes another year or sell one of their fifty properties but it's not going to affect their over all life style. When the small guys get suckered you never hear about it. If the small guy loses say $1000 it could really hurt. The media needs to realize that the average working person hurts much more. As for the disgusted rich gentleman you should realize that the pure greed of the wealthy has fostered the type of hate you see today. The economic model you refer to has been obsolete for about thirty years.

So you don't think jobs come from the Rich? Where do they come from then? Loans come from somewhere. You think the Government just gives jobs? You think corporations just create jobs from nothing. It comes from somewhere, whether it be taxes or direct loans. Obsolete for 30 years? Where do you get your information?

Traditionally the wealthy received contracts from both private and public sectors. The wealthy lived comfortably and workers were paid a living wage and treated well. More recently the trend has been to hoard wealth and discard the well being of the worker. Traditional business practice suggests a CEO not make more than ten times the average salary of his worker (including bonuses) Many of our current issues began in 1971 under Nixon when the US abandoned the gold standard. To be very clear, I don't hate the wealthy. A large portion of the wealthy have displayed poor judgment in the choices they have made and this has fostered the disrespect you see here in the postings.

Rich can be defined in different ways. For most people, it means how much money and materialistic things you have. People can never have enough. People lust for money. No matter how much they possess, it's never enough.

Are you kidding, forexpreneur? It's past time we started out own little "French Revolution" and did away with these parasites. The guillotine was invented for the purpose of lopping the heads of the bourgeois pigs. It's time we pulled it out of mothballs.

If you are talking about the greedy idiots listed in the article who stole money from people, understood. If you are talking about all Rich people, you can go to hell.

Remeber the "Social Contract" We put up with leaders in business and politics because they create jobs and make and enforce the law and ordered society. When they overstep their boundaries then ordinary people take them down. In a democracy it's supposed to happen peacefully, with a transfer of power in the case of politicians, and more stringent regulation and oversight in the case of business. In other times, and other parts of the world, the process is much more violent and nasty. Hopefully hear and now the process as it is happenning can stay peaceful.

It is so disgusting to me how these men and their families can justify their behavior. I don't begrudge anyone earning alot of money honestly, but they have demonstrated nothing but entitlement, greed, greed and more greed. Believe me when they say it starts at the top, it applies to the families too. They probably are raising the next generation of greedy entitled people. Worse yet, young ladies are attracted to this type of man no matter his age. These men are worse than a sociopath!

This is only the tip of the iceberg story.. Wait till you hear of those mast erly crooks, who have all of the NYSE, NASDAQ, CFTC, NYMEX, CBOT, CBOE, LSE et al tied up in many sweetheart deals and massive skullduggery. You have to rethink the antecedants and disposals of those $ 770 BILLION, plus $ 125 Billion to AIG et . We thought the S&L debacles of the 1980 shameful.. then these are even worse. What about the CEO of Sovereign bak getting ouit with # 25 million package, and rehired as "consultant: at $ 2500 Per HOUR!!!

The rich have money and the poor have jealousy. It's always been that way and it always will be.

I am getting really disgusted with the attacks and hatred towards the rich in this Country. Yes there are some very unscrupulous rich people but what about the average Joe? How many bought homes they could never afford? What percentage of the average Joe has no savings what so ever, yet still go out and buy frivoulous crap? How many average Joes expect someone else to take care of them while they are busy get laid, getting drunk, getting stoned or sitting on their lazy fat butts watching tv? Wake up, take charge of your life and stop your damn whining. If you are tired of Wall Street and their crap complain to your Senator and members of Congress. Without the Rich their would be a lot less jobs, it's the greedy rich you should be complaining about not Rich people in general.

If you think taxing the Rich even more will balance the budget get a life, it will never happen. We have the most overpaid politicians in the entire world. They are Rich, every single one of them, yet the average American has become so stupid they somehow believe the politicians are one of them. Give me a break. American politicians should be taken a drastic pay cut, and benefit cut untill the budget is truly in balance again.

This absolute arrogant shameful behavior of the super rich class in our country justifies the need for a very high tax rate on them so we can balance our federal budget and lower taxes on ordinary folks and therfore put America on a sound path to economic recovery instead of deficit spending bailouts which ironically beneift the super rich the most. Too many of the rich class have used their excess wealth to corrupt our politicsl system and screw up our markets with speculation. This class is the real reason why we're in the economic mess we're in.

And these are the people whom Bush called his "base"!!

  • Posted By: nimodahooligan @ 12/19/2008 2:40:26 PM

bunch of crooks. they should go to court for treason against the entire american population, have every penny taken away and put back into the economy in some form or another, lose they're houses and cars and yatchs and jets, then put in a cage naked in the middle of time square in the dead of winter and give out free rotten food to throw at them.

this is why i find the bailouts apalling. when and why did it become ok to be a crook? when and why did it become ok to bail out a business that made numerous mistakes resulting in a cascading failure?

they take and take and take, then they quit, and give themselves multimillion dollar severance packages while simultaneously laying off 15-25% of the work force that got them the big bucks. crime? uhhh does it take a brain surgeon to figure it out? lock em up. or just put em out on the street with nothing bu the shirt on they're backs and they can see what its like to have a long hard fall just like the rest of the country.

i feel no remorse what-so-ever for them. karma is a b*tch.

In reference to Stephen Schwarzman, the average American also has a rare blood protein deficiency and it is resolved by going to Chuckie Cheeze, McDonalds, etc. I am disgusted that we tolerate these kind of people in our society. Maybe, we need to recreate the French Revolution with these people. A couple of public executions and you see how quickly everyone gets online.

Why didn't the government freeze Richard Fuld assets and return it to the investors? Why is it that they can just milk while the times are good and then when the times are bad, they can just fold and walk off with so much. The problem is that we have a weak Congress that is not looking after the people.

  • Posted By: FSalazar1962 @ 12/19/2008 2:16:36 PM

Why are we surprise at the Rich behaving badly. Come on, it has been going on forever. Everyday, you see it when Management on all companies give themselves outrageous salaries, bonuses and perks, when the average worker has to fight for an increase of pennies a year. They milk the companies during the good times and when the bad times hit, they layoff people. I say, cap the salaries , bonuses & perks on management of all major corporations. Get rid of the unions and you will see stronger corporations forge ahead. You can only milk so much, before it runs dry.
