They are all Anti-American criminals that have stolen and taken so much from
our wonderful country. The amount of greed, murder and corruption that they
brought to the USA is beyond scarry and Palin is right there with them from
her oil exec background and her husbands to the scandals and also
the fact that her stolen bridge to nowhere money was used not only to
build that sports complex but also her 3million dollar home!!!!
They are friends of none except their
own group of Oil and War machine manufacturers. Bush will pardon them and
most likely himself as well. Google, Bush and the columbian cocaine cartel and
learn much about theis horrible disgusting family of criminals from the savings and
loan, drug, war, pharma, Banking, Insurance and Mineral scams worldwide.
They hide their money in Dubai (with their Arab-lover-cousins) and have
no loyalty to the USA whatsoever.

The Nuremberg trials worked well, I think that would be a very appropriate place for a trail of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Gonzales and Bush.

Let's go ahead and simplify this even further for the sake of brydges, who seems to need that. You would torture innocent people to meet your ends. That about says it for me.

"Conservative legal experts like David Rifkin argue that no accounting is necessary, since the worst interrogation techniques, like waterboarding, have already been abandoned."

Sorry, Mr. Rifkin, whoever you are, but an accounting is VERY necessary.

Truth and reconciliation isn't a bad way to go, but it sure won't break my heart if 20+ other countries want to indict Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Co. for torture and other war crimes.

Also won't shed a tear if they lose their shirts in a civil suit. Mr. Maher Arar certainly deserves compensation, although there isn't enough money on the planet to compensate an innocent man for being captured and tortured.

But the best revenge of all is knowing that Bush can't pardon his buddies for fear of permanently destroying his "legacy" (although it's already pretty much in tatters) so he'll have to watch, helpless, while they swing.

    Justice. What a concept.

      "Justice. What a concept."

Bush has justice in the same category as global warming - it's only a theory.

Over the past 7 years a group of Fanatics, Fundamentalist, Extremist Christian (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft Wolf-, puppet Gonzales & co) with dirt and mean ego to dominate the world and control the resources of Muslim world have turned a rather peaceful world upside down, made security and safety a major concern in many countries of the wolrd and made life of ordinary Americans miserable, no jobs, no health coverage and US as a whole in terrible mess. All by well planned and self created 9/11 and then based upon false, manipulated and twisted intelligence reports invading Iraq and then Afghanistan.
This group of fanatics befolled the world and created a false alarm "Terrorism". During this self created "War On Terrorism" every mean, Immoral and criminal act of Torture and killing was carried out, which led to killing of about a million of Iraqis and others in other partrs of the world.
Iraq was a beautiful and better developed country among the Arab countries, with good schools, Hospitals, clean water better communication and transport and the fanatics destroyed that all. In the name of freedom to Iraqi people Tyrant snatched every thing Iraqis had, no schools, no hospitals, no clean water, no jobs and no food. Not only this gang of criminals picked up some puppets like Musharraf and Karzai and continued their tyrani in Pakistan and in Afghanistan. US is already responsible fo the misseries of Afghan people during and after Soveit invasion of Afghanistan by lturning its back towards Afghanis after Soveit Union defeat. The crimes committed by US army and CIA in Abu Gharib, Gitmo and other sevret prisons around the world not only created an uproar but also brought shame an disgrase to America. The criminal minded Bush & co, didn't even cared about Americans and American econemy and led America into worst Financial crisis and caused loss of American Influence and credibility in the world.
The list of crimes doesn't end here, the bunch of criminal minded encouraged India and Isreal to continue their opperession and atrocities towards their minorities all in the name of "War on Terrorism". Even country like Fillipine also took advantage and launched offensives against it Muslim minority.
All this human torture, killing and destruction was caused by a bunch of criminals, who infact are "world's greatest Terrorist" with ego to dominate the world and loot the resources of others. Look at oil, Bush Cheney both have big oil business. They together manipulated oil prises and made Billions od Dollars. Three years ago they siad there is great demand in India and China and now all of a sudden that great demand is vanished and oil prices are down at the peac level. What does this indicate?
So, these Tyrants deserve to be subject to the same torture they were using against their captives in Gitmo and Abu Gharib.
    No Mercy at all!!

How many innocent Iraqis has Bush killed?

    • Posted By: Doc Howl @ 12/19/2008 1:18:53 PM

That'd be a trick. The ones who did it are dead, and the Bush Administration doesn't care about the ones who planned it.

Right! If not for Daddy Bush, George W. would be riding on the back of a garbage truck..The ...W... in George Bush stands for WRECK the USA and fill my friends pockets..Please no Nub Bush...

So, when does support for a person or an idea or a war cross the line from partisan stubbornness to outright stupidity?
Or is the stupidity inherent in the supporter, hence the inability to recognize the facts and make sound judgements?
At least enough have figured it out and voted accordingly (sigh of relief), but will Bush and friends EVER get it?
    DUH!

The illegal torture of detainees by the criminal bushwhacker admninistration did not save one single innocent victim. The Keystone Kops administration failed to stop the worst terrorist attack on us on 9/11 by being alseep at the wheel. The couple of examples they've bandied about that say they stopped terrorist attacks are all bogus because these were plots by clueless Al-Qaeda wannabees and not by Al-Qaeda itself.

It's time to take the real terrorists, the bushwackers boys, to court and then to prison. We should use the same torture techniques on them to see that forces them to confess the truth. If the bushwhacker does issue a blanket pardon to all his goons then we know for sure they broke the law and that pardon should be rescinded by Obama. I'll be looking for the International Court in the Hague to bring charges against these miscreant lawbreakers and hoping that they get renditioned to face trial.

Many thanks to W. Mark Felt, the courageous "Deep Throat" who unmasked the evils of Tricky Dick and condolences to his family upon his death. Now here's an example of an honest person trying to keep our government honest. I served under that crooked SOB Nixxon and knew when the Watergate story broke that I was serving a crooked CIC. Rest in Peace Mark Felt on a job well done! Now we need another "Deep Throat" to come forward to unmask the evils of the worst criminal to ever disgrace the White House.

"Ominus you ignorant slut". Way to avoid a fact based, reasoned approach to the issue. So I guess the Mark Rich pardon and others are ok but if the Bushwacker pardons anyone it should be recinded. I guess the fact that this inept administraqtion ways in office only 9 months and the intel handoff was criticized by the bipartisan 911 commission as well short of thorough or professional is also ok. The 911 attack was in the works for years prior to these knuckleheads getting into office but I guess that was a slight oversight on your part. You want to downplay it because your intellectually devoid of objectivity but after the first WTC bombong, the USS Cole attack and the Embassy bombings in Africa we threw a couple of missiles into Afganistan and bombed an aspirin factory. I'm sure you praised those aggressive responses at the time but then again your probably the guy who got punched in the nose in 3rd grade and ran too the teacher. The Islamic fundalist barbarians laugh at you and wish all of us were just like you so we could "discuss" options with them while they smile and plot to destroy us.

God forbid you have children you've instilled with this garbage. The bad guys ain't playin by the rules. Not even close...get a clue!

"So I guess the Mark Rich pardon and others are ok but if the Bushwacker pardons anyone it should be recinded."

As odious as the Marc Rich pardon was, it was not done to protect Clinton.

  • Posted By: willie mo @ 12/19/2008 12:24:33 PM

Isn't it interesting that so many hate our gov't more than the terrorists. If you hadn't noticed they don't appear to be playing by the rules exemplified by the humane treatment Daniel Pearl and others received. These people are fanatics and they only know force as a deterent. You can debate them or negotiate with them. They are barbarians!! How do you not see that. It doesn't justify equal treatment but your telling me that some water in the guys mouth to scare the crap out of him is somehow equal to the many creative tortures meted out by these scum!! Why would you live in this hoorible country anyway. I understand there are some great real estate deals available in Bagdad, Tehran and all over Pakistan & Uzbekistan! Why waste your life in this horrible place?

    • Posted By: Doc Howl @ 12/19/2008 1:20:40 PM

      ". They are barbarians!! "

So is anyone who supports torture.

I suspect responding to your post will do nothing to change your view, but there are valid reasons why patriotic Americans stand up to say "no more" in the face of behavior that should be condemned by all Americans. By condemning inappropriate behavior, those of us who speak up are trying to make America a better place. Thus, far from hating our government, whatever that means, we simply recognize that we are best when we strive to reach the lofty goals we have set for ourselves. Consider the following:

???What sets us apart from our enemies in this fight??? is how we behave. In everything we do, we must observe the standards and values that dictate that we treat noncombatants and detainees with dignity and respect. While we are warriors, we are also all human beings???
      -- General David Petraeus
      May 10, 2007

Former Navy General Counsel Alberto Mora testified to the Senate Armed Services Committee in June 2008 that ???there are serving U.S. flag-rank officers who maintain that the first and second identifiable causes of U.S. combat deaths in Iraq ??? as judged by their effectiveness in recruiting insurgent fighters into combat ??? are, respectively the symbols of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo.???

If they broke the law, then they should be held accountable. If it can be proven that they ignored the facts about Iraq, and started the war bace on decieving the American people, then they should be tried for murder.

If torture and prisoner abuse is sufficient ground for prosecution, then knowingly misleading your own nation and the international community into a unnecessary war of choice causing the deaths of 4000+ US soldiers, maiming many more for live and killing a few ten thousands of Iraqis definitely ought to result in prosecution too (vincent Bugliosi).

  • Posted By: Iconoblaster @ 12/19/2008 12:10:57 PM

There is no good reason for American courts to ACCEPT an attempt on the part of Bush to pardon himself OR, by extention, others for acting on HIS orders (which amounts to the same thing)...such "pardons" should be deemed void ab initio, because to give them credit is to absolve the Executive of ANY duty to obey, much less enforce, the law. We keep saying that "nobody is above the law"... to permit the Executive to forgive itself of lawbreaking IS to place the Executive above the law.

  • Posted By: hello2009 @ 12/19/2008 12:07:39 PM

I think Bush, Cheney should be impeached and tried as war criminals. The rest involved should be tried also and be held to the standards we would expect Iraq or any other nation to.

Lives were lost because of a gun ho group of idiots that represent the Americans and I do not appreciate the way they make me look???
