Choosing A Church

I fail to see the efficacy of this continued charade. Based on questions he has answered in the past concerning his "faith", twenty years of attendance at what is jokingly referred to as a "church" has failed to inform this person of even the most basic tenets of the Christian faith- i.e., his position on sin. Just more expedient hypocritical lip service.
I anticipate the next four years to contain even more hilarity than the Clinton years- and that is saying something.
I'm sure a nice mosque is to be found conveniently close to the White House.

Our cultural beliefs have transended our religious beliefs. It's disturbing how the pulpit is used for our propelling our
own agendas and not Gods.

Where one goes to chuch is not the important issue? Why he goes is what matters? You see It's all about your right to choose. It's the unalienable right discussed by the founding fathers. It's also God's message of John 3:16 with the key
word being "Believe"

I'm not sure why this charade of Christianity need continue. Based on his past discussions, he has remained ignorant of the basic tenets of the Christian faith-i.e.,his definition of sin.
I feel these next four years should be full of hilarity- even better than the Clintons.

In my humble opinion, there are much larger issues to deal with than what flavor of God Mr. Obama chooses to believe in. Considering his determination to pick up the pieces of 8 years of incompetency, which is evident not just from his words but from his choices of Cabinet and advisors, does it truly matter whether he attends a Christian church, a Mosque, or no church at all? He was elected based on the majority of this country's belief that he was the best man for the job. Religious preference does not come in to play except in the minds of those who deem it important.

I would love to see him attend a prominent African American church but a multi-racial church would be nice, too. Wherever he goes FOX News will dig deep into the church and its past. They have nothing better to do.

Well, firstly, duchess23, you should understand that it's about which church they want to attend and not about him being forced into attending a black church. Secondly, you should grasp common english grammar and spelling before posting; it makes it easier for the reader to get your point(s). Frankly, I don't think the majority of black churches know what they want regarding this issue. Also, you want to talk racist? Perhaps you should contact that racist slime Rev. Wright. with all his racist, stereotypical, anti-white preaching.

I don't think anyone should tell the Obama's what they should do and shouldn't do. That's their faith and their choice whats good for them and their family. Its a very personal and private matter what church they want to attend...

The choice of the church the president elect swhould attend is a very good pointer and indicator of the very sincere heart of the president. its a step in thhe right direction because it only reflects the kind of sincere and very honest heat and style of leadersghip he w ant to give. the choice of people one keeps around him r communes with, matters in all we do. so ic an recommend that he fellowshios, or commune with JESUS firstly in His heart and then fellowship with people who are know to be friends of GOD such as the very dear Bishop T.D Jakes, VERY bISHOP NOEL JONES,BENNY HINN, men and women of GOD who've got intergrity and strength of character , to provide leaadership that will meet the needs of people and shape america and the resat of the world for the best.
