A multinational church will be perfect for him. A Korean church maybe. He is not going to find too many blacks or white. Like that not too many will get offended.

We have bigger ploblems in the States. I say let the gay have their way, at least they are employed for the most part. And they also provide jobs. They are harmless and most are pretty well cool. We have an issue with the blokes that take advantage of our unemployment system. The ones who have a wad of drug bills the size of a brick in their pocket, and then they collect money from our government and our TAXES. I can personally account for what hapens on the street because I have been there. It is stunningly ridiculous. And our education system also reflects it...but that's another issue.....I giive the highest respect to our teachers who make nothing but risk their lives daily to try to give our youth a chance to make something of themselves outside of a prison cell. We need to regain control of our children, and forget about the biblical "gay" problems

Homosexuality is a sin. So is heterosexual sex before marrige. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God- the bible teaches us. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved. All persons Christian or otherwise still sin. This does not make the born-again Christian a hypocrite. The born-again believer is someone who recognizes that he can do nothing good in his/her own effort, it is by the Holy Spirit that a believer recognizes sin and therefore brings him/her self before Christ and asks for forgiveness and repentence. If you do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, then there can be no knowledge of sexual sin, or any other sin for that matter. We all need invite Christ into our lives and turn away from sin. If we do not then we shall only experience the result of sin, which is death. Jesus is the only hope we have ever had or ever will have.

I can't believe we are distinguishing between black-and-white churches...didn't Christ try to say that all races are equal?

  • Posted By: Rahbi @ 12/21/2008 5:18:18 AM

Obama is an inexperienced putz. Maybe he should go back to his original "hate whitey" church and show his true colors and hatred toward white people. I wish Bill Cosby would have run for pres. He would have had my vote because he shows what's really happening in the black community. They would rather buy a new pair of tennis shoes than feed their children. Just proof that our priorities are screwed up. Obama has already cost the nation a lot of jobs because of his brilliant tax raise on the "rich" who provide jobs to small business..Unemployment has gone up after the election, but they'll blame Bush for it....Because Comedy Central and MTV will say "it is Bush's fault". If McCain had said he'd legalize dope, these people would have voted for him instead of Obama.

If one lives their live according to The Bible, like the Hassidic Jew, then they have a case for saying that God informs them that homosexuality is a sin. For the rest of the population, telling homosexual they sin because The Bible says so is pure hypocrasy. Jesus, as any Bible scholar can tell you, never addresses the topic of homosexuality. So if we are to follow the teachings of Jesus, we will be neutral on the subject. It is only the hypocrites that use The Bible as an excuse for their prejudices. It is the cafeteria Christians who pick and choose what they want and don't want to believe who are anti-homosexual. If not, they would follow ALL the dictates of The Bible, including the growing of their hair, the kind of cloth they wear, and dozens of other items these cafeteria Christians conveniently miss. So... either follow everything The Bible says, follow the words of Jesus and be neutral about homosexuality, or rightfully be called the hypocrites you are.

Get over yourself. Homosexuality is just plain wrong. The plumbing doesn't work and it is an abomination to society. Gay is not the new black. It is a perversion of morality that effects all races.
Secondarily American Indians rarely have more pure blood in them today than any other Heinz 57 American.
Get ready for the ride of your life!
The new revolution is coming, the people are fed up with your reprobate.

Winkiesixtysix ~ Your comments sounds like what America did (and is still doing) to the Indians. Galatians 6:7 states ~ Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Sounds like PAY BACK to me . . . Get ready! Get ready! Get ready . . . for a GREAT DAY! Yes, We Can . . . Go President Elect Obama!

    Sorry, "Tea Party".

  • Posted By: FamilyPhysician @ 12/21/2008 3:28:33 AM

He should be sworn in as Obama Bin Laden, why not just cut the crap. How's that for "change"?
His swearing in will ring in the "New American Revolution". Taxation without representation, etc........
Anyone like to join us for a tea pary?

It will be a New America alright. We are at the top of the hill and Obama is going to shove us over the cliff. We will become the worlds biggest wussies again as we did with Carter or worse.......fall to what was proffesized by Nostrodamous......He said our demize would come from within. Why do you suppose that the leaders of countries that HATE America are thrilled about Obama because they know what he stands for. Reverend Wright preached it they hate america and what better way to take it down than from the highest office in the land. Be prepared America.....this centuries perverbial Alamo is on the very near horizon.

AMEN to Sam Cooper ~ my thoughts exactly. Merry CHRISTmas to all.

dbz_gt_crazy ~ Please direct me to the scripture where Christ commands us to be a Christian, where true or false, whether occasional stumbling or stumbling EVERYDAY and on your death bed asking for forgiveness (with a sincere heart). SIN is Sin to God, whether it???s occasional or continuous. Whatever happened to ~ let those without SIN cast the first stone?

I vote on policy. I lean right. If youre a black republican you have my vote. Im trying to engage some policy conversations. Why are the auto makers struggling? Socialist Unions? Why arent teachers held accountable. Students with low scores? Wheres the consequences?

    • Posted By: DSTeacher @ 12/21/2008 3:10:34 AM

Teachers are held accountable: Its called NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND!!!! it's time for some parents to be held accountable and being raising and teaching their children at home. A child's success is a partnership of school and home, not just school.

What "extremely ignorant and offensive things" has Rick Warren said about gays? I would like to know.

  • Posted By: dbz_gt_crazy @ 12/21/2008 3:00:01 AM

consistent Christians don't do those things as a pattern of life, although there may be occasional stumbling. not the truly regenerate ones. as I'm sure you know, going to church, merely professing to believe in Christ as Lord and Savior, or being part of the religious right does not qualify one as a Christian. becoming a Christian is a sovereign, supernatural work of God in a person's life that transforms them.

  • Posted By: dbz_gt_crazy @ 12/21/2008 2:28:43 AM

Babygirl1256~ I really was not writing to affirm or deny an assertion that America should legalize or criminalize gay marriage. I was merely pointing out the error of many who think that one can be a consistent Christian and deny the sinfulness of homosexuality. Personally, I am not sure what I think about political theory and how my religion (which I believe to be true) should affect my political ideology. For now, I don't actively support gay marriage legalization, but I don't think I could vote against it yet. I do believe homosexuality is sin. I have many gay friends who I love, though.

    • Posted By: babygirl1256 @ 12/21/2008 2:55:20 AM

dbz_gt_crazy ~ Ok I understand that you were merely pointing out the error of many who think that one can be a consistent Christian and deny the sinfulness of homosexuality BUT what about the consistent Christian concentrating on the sinfulness of homosexuality while the consistent Christian is the MAIN one that commits adultery, steals, kills, bears false witness AND DISOBEYS ALL OTHER Commandments?

  • Posted By: authorjeff @ 12/21/2008 2:21:33 AM

"Warren has said extremely ignorant and offensive things about gay people . . .." This comment by a supposed "impartial" journalist just shows how far left "Newsweek" really is. And, just to note, a great number of Evangelical Christians, myself included, do not approve of Warren's watered-down gospel.

    • Posted By: vvm77 @ 12/21/2008 2:52:36 AM

oh please, Newsweek had an article out last month about how Obama could be the Antichrist and you call that far left?

  • Posted By: dbz_gt_crazy @ 12/21/2008 2:29:42 AM

Babygirl1256~ also, I don't know if "attacking" is an accurate depiction of the (true) Christian stance toward gays. Love with eternity in view is different than love with only this lifetime in view, as I said before.

    • Posted By: babygirl1256 @ 12/21/2008 2:47:04 AM

dbz_gt_crazy ~ Attack according to our American dictionary means: assault, harass, bother, etc. ~ therefore attacking is an accurate depiction of the (true) Christian stance toward gays . . . and towards abortion clinics, etc. The (true) Christian as you reference should do a self-assessment FIRST and I believe things would be much better for all people of all genders.
