Classic error by Newsweek journalists (incorrect photo).

I'll bet most of you have your heads so far up Obama's derriere that you were blind to see such things.

Lost in this is your notion that Obama (or his staff) will create anything important (except more hardship) on Americans.

I can't believe you people get PAID for this...

A classic error by Newsweek (wrong photo).

In the future, you'll also come to regret publishing that Obama, or his advisors will end up producing anything significant (except more hardship - bourne from unfulfilled promises - to the American people).

I can't believe people like your staff actually get PAID for such things.

The picture of Mugabe with the Ayatollah undermines the position of Newsweek as a credible media. Of course, whatever is written about Ayatollah Khamenei is absolutely subjective and so untrue about Iran's role with its neighbors. Iran does not want destabilized Iraq or Afghanistan. So GET YOUR JOURNALISM STRAIGHT, NEWSWEEK. Good I don't subscribe to Newsweek!!!!!!!!

when you write the name of most powerful caracter in the world it is better to showing their picture but the strange and stupid is that for number 11(Ayatolah ali Khamenei) you have depicted Mugabe.why?.is it mistake or no it is one political method to coincide IRAN leader with Mugabe.i think it is not professional for a famous magazine such THE NEWSWEEK.

  • Posted By: bigbrainofuniverse @ 12/24/2008 7:18:14 AM

when you categorised the 50 powerful people it is better to put their photo behind their name but one things is very strange and stupid is that when you announce number 11(Ayatolah ali Khamenei) instead of his picture you put picture of Mugabe!!!!!

nejad is as incumbent to iranians as khamenei
    they are both indispensable
and they drove israel out of lebanon too

iraq and afghanistan are just as important to iraqis and afghanis as iran is to iranians or america to americans ,

why talk about those as some ignorant pawns in a chess game

democracy work when ideas collide a single idea must be good but 2 or more is much better.

I agree with the others-I really don't think Iran posits a threat to anyone. They act in their interests-just like anyone else. One may claim that religion causes one to behave irrationally, but the other side of that is to understand that religion may cause one to behave with more prudence and forebearance than otherwise may be employed. Don't get me wrong, there are serious issues of civil rights, pluralism and freedom in Iran-but don't you think the Iranians can figure this out for themselves? Who are we to try and decide it for them? Where has thirty years of non-communication gotten us? Nowhere. Maybe it's time we started talking again.

Khamenei, is Moslem first, then Iranian. The world has to realise that the sooner a provisional government has been appointed by the UN, then the sooner the real Iranians would be involved. Khamenei is only waiting for his Mahdi to arrive and take instructions from him. No one else will do. No one.
