    If newsweek keeps this up, their won't be a GOP mouth-breather left to toy with. They could have left it at the Top 50 list full of those they love to hate. But No! They had to follow it up with Oprah, an African-American Woman Billionaire who the full well know influences the Women in the South and everywhere else to back President Obama. Was that enough? No! now here comes the Clintons. Bill Clinton is the anti-Bush, he built a strong economy after Reagan and bush Sr. destroyed it. He gave us surplus where there were deficits. the current Bush squandered that and then invaded a country using false evidence and directly caused the deaths of 4000 plus of our best young women and men. Hillary and her sisterhood of traveling pantsuits has transformed the Southern women and given them hope of escape form their inferior non-better hallves. the Clintons are everything the Republicans aren't. Powerful, intelligent and loved by most of the country. Remember the cooked up Fox/Rassmussen poll that found that hillary was disliked by more than 50% of the voters? Didn't work too well did it?

      Bush didn't destroy the economy. He tried to stop the disaster we're in many times before it happened, only to have Dems (Frank and Dodd) and a few moderate republicans put a halt to it. However, we all love the way you rewrite your nonsensical version of history to fit your liberal agenda!

          There you go again with non-facts. Bush's most recent Gallup approval rating is just over 29 percent. I know that sucks, Suck, but it isn't 16 percent as you say. I sling facts, not liberal agenda laced nonsense like you.

            I didn't cherry pick the poll. This is the last summary of the poll of polls posted on CNN. It's really telling that the Rassmussen poll wasn't the best you could find. They've been in the tank for Fox forever. I alway wondered what the difference between a Rassmussen Poll and a Fox/Rassmussen Poll was.Clinton left a surplus. Reagan and both Bush' left us with deficits. Has there ever been a Republican who has admitted that their president screwed up? All i hear from you Limbaugh and Hannity drones is how you inherited a declining situation. That's something you won't have to concern yourself with ever again. In 2010 3 to 5 Republican Senate seats will be lost. In 2012 a bigger butt kicking is in store. Of course that butt kicking won't be the GOP's fault. It will be due to a declining situation.

              Aside from the fact that you can't see into the future, you insist the Republicans will get "a butt kicking" in 2012 due to "a declining situation." I thought Obama was going to turn things around and be "the answer." If so, how can there be a declining situation?

    I'm so tired of you ragging on the Clintons. If they were still co-presidents, I know that we could dig our way out of the mess that stupid Bush got us into.

    Hillary Clinton's campaign for president was an eye-opener for me, a life-changing experience. I no longer believe that the "progressive" Left is progressive, or that the Dimocrats are democratic.

    Now that I have left the Democratic Party and become an Independent, I can see how biased and wrong-headed both the Right AND the Left are.

Keep it up and I'll cancel my subscription to your publication, just as I canceled the New Yorker and Rolling Stone for being so obnoxiously sexist. You "progressive" Leftists aren't progressive; you flatter yourselves.

    If we had the Clintons back as co-presidents, we could dig our way out of the outrageous mess that stupid Bush got us in. I'm glad that I left the Dimocratic Party and became an independent, because now I can see how biased the Right AND the Left are.

    This is almost funny, Jon. Your derangement with the Clintons is hysterical. The are soooo flipping horrible, but the world neeeeeds them.
    Your inability to be a "bold, strategic thinker" has resulted in yet another pointless, snide article that reveals you really haven't got much else to offer.

    There are very good reasons why the Clintons are so well respected in this world and it's safe to say that none of them have to do with the President's p*nis and your obsession with it.

    Wow, really? ANOTHER article lambasting the Clintons? What is wrong with this country's media, exactly? Hillary and Bill aren't good enough for anything because they're untrustworthy, lying, manipulative, and only out for self. BUT, man do we NEED THEM! Being as they are the most intelligent, experienced, well-connected and respected world-wide, well, America is in dire straits and since the election of an empty Messiah requires everyone pull together to make sure our empty-suited affirmative action hero doesn't fall flat on his face, we're just going to have to deal with having the CLINTONS (gasp) in a high-profile political position representing our country. We don't want you, Billary, but you'd BETTER NOT SHAME US!
    I have come to be ashamed of this country. Two Bushes couldn't acchieve that, no, it took the supposedly progressive liberal party and media, of which I'd mistakenly thought myself an adamant supporter, to make my soul cringe when telling others, I'm an American.

    I don't know why anyone believes Jonathan Alter to be a misogynist. He compares Bill Clinton to John Wayne Bobbit (a man who was literally castrated by his wife) and in then discusses Hillary's comfort in a harness. Within the first two paragraphs we know that Alter imagines Hillary Clinton as a castrating woman who must be controlled with bondage.

    I wonder if Alter feels such anger towards all women, or just women in positions of authority? Speaking of which, how's your relationship with your mother, Jonathan?

    tHEY WILL NEVER GO AWAY! It is our fate to be plagued with the Clintons forever. Their money grubbing and influence peddelling BS is the curse of this generation. If any Senator worth their salt has the guts to truly question Hillery about Bill's history, she will never be confirmed as Sec of State, and she can stew as the Jr. Senator from NY, and we can collectively breath a sigh of relief that Princess Caroline can retreat to her penthouse and write another book about something I'll never read. PLEASE----GO AWAY!!!

    Ah, yes, Johnathan Alter and Newsweak on the Clintons.

    It is clear that Alter worships all things Democratric, Wealthy, and Elite. He is the quintessential Liberal. Not sure from the article if Alter and Newsweak will go "in the Tank' for Hillary & Bill, but the odds are good. He pretends to question Bill's money schemes, but one can easily see it is just part of the Tank Media shuck & jive.

    Alter is the guy that never heard of Boat People, re-education camps, and khmer Rouge; he is dispicable.

    Steph77 on the mark! Mr. Alter writes as an embittered little man whenever he refers to the Clintons. In that respect he is a genre like Olberman et al, who often have little substance e to offer, so take gratuitous whacks at the Clintons to reload their credentials with one another. Even Mr. Alter's compliments to them are grudging and backhanded. Time for restructuring at Newsweek and other MSM.
