COVER STORY: THE GLOBAL ELITE

The Story of Power

The study of power is not only diverting (which Homer and Shakespeare knew), but illuminating. A biography of an ancient human impulse.

    Only the corrupt crave power.

I find it fascinating that things a psychopath or dictator does (control with manipulation or command with weapons and gneocide) is viewed with positive connotatios (powerful = good) by an average person .
Meanwhile, powerful bullies are hurtng more children in schools and academic mobbing is destroying more universities.
At least a few thinkers are studying these pathological trends in the UK. The need for power seems to be some morbid fear acted out by a deranged egomaniac who needs to give the illusion that they are healthy and ok, even charming.

Hmmm... well you've got to love the Royal Family. First thing that comes to my mind is the lovely Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and his adorable son, Prince William. He looks so much like Her Royal Highness Princess Diana. If you wanna know the real deal... how about the Police, the FDA (Food & Drug Administration), the three separate City states of the world... the vatican, washington dc, and the inner city of london are the only three private city states in the world. Of the list of 50 in Jon Meacham's article - the most powerful entity (certainly in the US today) is conspicuously absent - and that is the media. All of the people on the list, especially the politicians, have to answer to the public and behave a certain way for the media. The media has more influence on public opinion and attitude than any elected official and the media is accountable to no one.

"A Senior European diplomat recently marveled..."? Who exactly is this senior European diplomat? The media is making it seem like everyone is for the "most powerful" (ha!) Obama (he is just a Pres.-Elect, media. Sorry to burst your bubble) but he won the Electoral vote, not the popular. I know, those that are Bush-haters will say that of him too, that he only won the electoral. That is true. However, it is amazing that the media has our President-ELECT as THE most powerful leader when he has no actual Presidential power yet. Like 'francisfelix' says, wait a few weeks, then say it. Even then, he won't have the approval of the majority of the country going into the Presidency. It is unfortunate Pres. Bush is leaving with a very low approval rating, thanks to the media's spin on everything, but it is a poor sign when a president-elect is going into office with a very low rating popular-vote wise. Time to shake up the electoral system. I am glad to see most viewers on here see the truth under this article's mask. Oh, and bin Laden is in that 50 and "Friends of Barack"? I bet that is CBS and NBC haha. Now Pope Benedict XVI is good. And Steve Jobs actually creates jobs and doesn't give them to just people he likes. Wow I rambled, but you get the point.

Actually, he did win the popular vote (>50%), as well as the electoral college. Sorry to burst your bubble.

A comment on a comment, so to speak...mdlove. As far as powerful; this descriptive word has yet to be seen by Obama. The election is something past, and as we all know, we can't change it. We have to wait and see what kind of stature Mr. Obama takes. As far as the election is concerned; I would very much like to see the poll results of a simple question. Pose this to all who voted in this most recent presidential vote..."Should the electoral college be eliminated from the voting process?" Of course it goes without saying that this 'process' would need to be explained, because I truly think that if we are honest with ourselves - the avg. voter doesn't get it. And Mdlove, this may very well shake up the electoral system to your satisfaction. Recently one of my students gave a report on the electoral process - to students that will be voting in the next election. I can tell you that they were angry, thought it seemed un-American. What happened to one man one vote, and every vote REALLY counts? My response to the angry students was this...remember, a governmnet of, by and for the people...we voters make the decisions, from councilman to president, ultimately the people have the only power to really change things, including the voting process. So there is your power - the people of this country hold it, who we put in office wields it for sure - but the voting public holds the key to the ammo dump. From where I sit the fuse is getting short.

There is no need for alarm. the World has been different for a very long time, long before all of us writing here existed. The change that obama talks of should not be seen as an idea that has to be patented and reserved with all the fine print. The idea that time is an illusion is evident and so is the thought that "power", is all there is to be gained. There is a different kind of power one that allows you to share it. That is one that i vouch for and one that can't be patented. By the way look at me with all this power to yield out on the internet. The power structures of the past have always been mental, in your own mind, and now that more and more people are aware that they have been controleed most of their life, we can now start to fully grasp just how much we have been taken for a ride. Don't be left out

Not to be petty, but power MUST rely on Inteliligence... however one choses to define it... and although Obama is, without question, highly Intelligent (in one area of its definition), I question whether he has the "Intelligence of Power." Being popular, articulate, and representative of a Minority, does not, per se, guarantee power... Command? With the Office... yes as high man on the Totem pole as you point out... there are trappings. But THAT does NOT insure he can effect what real power does effect: witness the presidents who simply didnt have it. It isn't charisma. It isnt solely "power" over the environment, no matter how many taxes/handouts the Totem squatter can achieve... for a while.

Bottom line. It is three things: Curiosity... a driving need to know causes of things; Persistence... a physical, emotional, and ... call it "spiritual" strenght never to give up; and most of all... a reall ability to walk in other people's moccasins.

If any person has those three qualites... and at least a 100 IQ

It is understandable why most of you would not know who the "GLOBAL ELITE" and "THE NEW WORLD ORDER" and "ILLUMINATI" is. If you are uneducated, google prison planet. The top 50 most powerful "DICTATORS" and "INFLUENTIAL IDOLS". The dictators are the ones who do as they please and tell "WE THE PEOPLE" what we can and cannot do! Correct me if I am mistaken but shouldn't the roles be reversed. The influential idols are the Oprahs that follow all the rules and is our friend that coaches us through hardships, Oprah has been our friend for many years, "Why would she steer us wrongly now, we trust her and her opinion". Well wake up, WE need to wake up for the sake of our "CHILDREN'S" future. The GLOBALISTS are putting all of their agenda's for the "NEW WORLD ORDER" in our faces and we are still more concerned with "Brangelina and the twins" than our our own families well being and future. Look, all of the Dictators are chosen 1-2 from each country on the top 50 list. Then you have Murdoch who is owner of all the press which has "MOST" influence on the people.

Uunfortionally for all of us the same Power Machine is still in control and in America it has been for the last 166 years + the same world order has been controling their puppets, Our leaders, since our great, great, great, great, .........grandfathers were in diapers. They have educated (indoctinated) us, they taught us everything we know, which is not much. thay control every facet of our lives and we think we are free "humbug".

This whole story is pure Obama worship. He is not the President. George Bush is President and still has all the power of the presidency. Wait a few weeks to start bestowing power on Obama.

Viewing the list associated with this article . . . our world is doomed. El numero uno, "the Messiah" himself will doom our country single handedly. Save GEN Pataeus and some of the Christian leaders on this list, we are truly doomed. Thankfully, this list was put together by the hoard of liberal hacks at Newsweek, so I am not yet ready to suck start a 9mm.

What a crock of *** you liberal ass wipes. If this is the power structure of our world God help us. Obama is a piece of communist ***. Power I dont think so. He is a weak as a duck in a bath of oil. This is wishful thinking on you Liberals part.
Its time for war if this list is right.
