New Yorkers aren't fond of personality cults, since so many of them preside over their own. But most were OK with Bloomberg's push to repeal the city's term-limits law—setting up a run for a third term. To them, Bloomberg isn't only America's eighth-richest man, but one of its most innovative public figures. In public health (banning smoking and trans fats in restaurants), education (he's overhauled the school system and wrestled with teachers' unions) and green measures, he's leading where Washington hasn't. And as Wall Street panics, he's also led by staying calm—and solvent.

The only ones OK with his third term are the corrupt City Council which got rid of its own term limit too. He has constantly shown a complete disregard for the working class and only looks out for his wealthy friends. Not exactly the person you would want around in an economic downturn.

"Most were OK with Bloomberg's push," Are you kidding me?! I don't know anyone who is okay with this self-proclaimed messiah of NYC. His arrogance at the belief that he alone can see us through a financial crisis; his trumping the will of the people who have voted a total of 3 times for term limits - 1st with charter revision and 2 subsequent ballot initiatives rejecting its repeal...hmph! I am looking forward to working on any campaign in opposition of Bloomberg's egomaniacal, ill concieved possible third term.
