Someone wrote the following: Pastor E.A Adeboye is a true prophet and a man of God filled with the Holy spirit. During the ministers/workers conference meeting in Floyd, daddy preached about Elisha and Elijah. He later told us to look at him, and to ask God for the gift of the spirit each of us desired in him. I asked God for two specific things that I desire in daddy and God has granted them unto me.

That's idolatry. But in Isaiah 45:22, the true God, the only true Saviour (the God of the Jewish Scripture: Old and New Testament) says "Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." Colossians 1:17-19 ???And Christ is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell??? In Christ, not in Adeboye or any other spiritual leader.

Another person wrote the following: ??? Africa today, had been forgiven the years of idolatry of the past through the works of the ADEBOYES of this generation. ??? Adeboye and Obama are the signals to the west that power is changing hand now: as divinely directed by God. The human redemption will surely come through Africa. ???

Lies, all lies!! In John 4:22, Jesus (Ya'Shua) said: "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews." True Salvation is from the line of David Yitzaak, not Africa, Europa, or any other people. Also, no African or anyone else will be forgiven for idolatry through "the works of the Adeboyes of this generation". Anyone who needs forgiveness will only be forgiven through the finished work of the Jewish Messiah, the Lord Jesus.

Another person wrote: pastor Adeboye is the elijah of our time, may the annointing of God over him never run dry

Not true. Hebrews 1:1-2 says ???God who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the (Jewish) fathers by the (Jewish) prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds"

Another person wrote: It???s unfortunate, today, that most people worship science instead of their maker (God). This should not surprise us because Jesus warned of this in Gospel according to St. Matthew 24:24 when He said "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Amazing blindness. That Scripture along with many others like it is what ought to make people turn away from false spiritual leaders but their followers are so blind they will by all means follow these false spiritual leaders rather than listen to Jesus through the Jewish Scriptures (Old and New Testament). The comments from most contributors is most fascinating I must say but I think people are missing the point here. Pastor Adeboye is a respected preacher who inspires people through his gift from God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. From the effect of the messages he preaches and the harvest of souls for Christ, it is obvious that the grace of God is upon his life.

I gave my life to Christ on a day Pastor Adeboye came to preach in my church. I can tell you this, he preached the truth that ministered to my spirit and I knew that I MUST BE BORN AGAIN. I gave my life not under the promise of riches and all that but out of a conviction that this life as we know it today cannot be all there is...the inner witness in my spirit spoken in Romans 1:19-20 let me know that I needed to repent. So on the day I gave my life the message was not "be rich" but "Be born again and be sure of where you will spend your eternity" The message was also interesting; being born again was no guarantee that things will not be rosy as some evangelists might tell you (the anchor scripture was Mark 4:35-41) but that your faith will be tested by the devil but as far as Jesus is with you you will prevail.

Since that day I have focused more on my relationship with God than having a personal relationship with my pastor because the personal relationship with God is the foundation. The role of the man of God is stated clearly in Ephesians 4:11-12 "and he gave some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ" so yes we should primarily have a personal relationship with God but that does not mean we will not go to church Hebrews 10:25 "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;but exhorting one another: and so much more. as ye see the day approaching" So we MUST belong to a church and the role of the pastor is to build us up spiritually as such can be referred to our "spiritual fathers" or "fathers in the faith".

Adeboye's mandate is to preach the word of God to save souls for Christ...not for Pastor Adeboye. If there is any message that a man of God preaches that doesn't agree with you as is evident in the inner witness of the Holy Spirit then do not accept the message in your spirit but dont criticize the man of God. The bible tells us to confirm every word we hear with the bible so we are not fed a wrong doctrine. If the only word from God we get is from the altar alone then we need to look at ourselves. I know Adeboye does an altar call after every message calling for people to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ not to Pastor Adeboye.

God speaks to us through the preaching of men like Pastor Adeboye, through the Word of God and through the Holy Spirit who resides within us. As far as I can testify he tells you what the bible says that if you are not

The conclusion of the whole story is try to know who pstor Adeboye really is before generalising,I used to be a free thinker too and infact a great fan of FELA but when I came in contact with pastor Adeboye the simplicity of how to be God's child became revealed.Pastor Adeboye is a great teacher above all extremely humble.I think he is just a rare gem.My prayer is,may God give him a very long life.

I av a deep feeling that very very soon Pastor E.A Adeboye would be rated the Number one(1) most powerful Man in the world.
Surely before i leave this world im joining this list also.

I am surprised at why this recognition is being celebrated at all. Newsweek is just saying what is quite obvious to most people - that E.A Adeboye is quite influential. I do not doubt that he is actually among the top 50 most influential individuals worldwide.
I know however that this recognition does not necessarily affirm virtuosity. You only need to check the No. 42 on the list to understand what I have just mentioned.
How does it feel to be on the same platform with No. 42?

Yes no 42 is controversial but how do you think I'm feeling about Pastor E.A Adeboye being on the same list with the great personalities such as Obama, clintons ,Warren Buffet,Operah e.t.c. I think Nigeria and Africa and moreso the Cchurch of God should be glad to God.As for me,I like constructive Analyses.

    My Daddy,
Those who are with you are more than those who are not for you.
    May God open our eyes.
As for the Jet, those who object to it are ignorant of your age, your itineraries, what RCCG represents and for Whom you work.
    May God forgive us.
Even knowledgeable men like Tiawo spoke against Christ, so they must speak against you.
    May God Bless You, Sir!

I honestly think many of the comments here are prejudicial about the personality of Adeboye or other targeted pentecostal preachers. God is objective, he eve says we should come reason together with him.
Nigeria has poor people financially, true! for as many querying the roles of the likes of Adeboye on corruption in Nigeria, I need them to also know that there is moral poverty in Europe and America which to me is worse than financial poverty, I saw the other day on National Geographic web a movie clip of an American sucking blood of another in joy in the name of "vampire" show. You do that here in Africa in the open, you may be stoned to death.
But that is a show "good" for worldwide spread via the internet from "Civilized, poverty free" west.
When we talk about influence on lives, you need to find out how many this man has take away from the streets who were hardened criminals, but now preaching the gospel.
I think poverty is not the only basis to judge Africa, look at the prosperous Europe and America but with her own challenges.
Pentecostal pastors in Africa are destroying witchcraft, destroying evil shrines while in the West where because of prosperity people are forgetting God, cultism, satanism, and reprobates are on he increase.
The whole world needs God, not about Africa or Nigeria alone, the whole world needs God.

For those who are critical of Adeboye or any Pentecostal minister, not a big deal but the biggest deal is Who are You?

Well I hope to be here again.
Adeboye is my father in the Lord, and I will say always...CONGRATULATIONS SIR!!!!!

I am replying to this statement 'For those who are critical of Adeboye or any Pentecostal minister, not a big deal but the biggest deal is Who are You?'

I am ME, because i dont go from churches to churches offering them my HARD EARNED MONEY in a believe it is going to God. I am ME, because i dont believe what Adeboye and co pastors preaches to seek divine prosperity and success because I am the only one responsible for what ever happens in my Life.

Have you seen the latest news on Adeboye? He bought a private JET worth $28 million because he wants to join the league of big boys that own private Jet. Do you think I can give offerings to people or churches like him? If our offerings go to God, then why use it to acquire a private Jet as his own and not the church's? what other business does he do other than depending on member's offering. Remember Nigerian pastors they dont pay tax! but they religiously steal from people.

In a country like Nigeria, for pastors whose churches are public properties, to acquire a private Jet just for his own pleasure is uncalled for. He should remember the poor masses that offer their hard earned money are swimming in poverty. Majority percent of Nigerians have been brainwashed and deceived to depend on Religion which is contributing to poverty and these top pastors are making it worst. They should release their members from bondage and let them work physically with both body and mind to attain success instead of depending on spiritual or heaven intervention to physical problems

It is not by the amount of members he have in millions or branches, but how much has he given back to the people who made him rich. Go to Nigeria and see what church business is all about. nigerian pastors are big boys. Adeboye and others are just lucky to make it to the top today. you see him as a pastor, but they see their members as assets and branches as network business. THEY ARE REAL MONEY MAKERS.. If Nigeria has genuine men like him, then why is Nigeria not a better country? they are greedy, both the politicians and religious men. They act like they are God. They are not natural but deceptive... Nigeria should forget about all these churches and Nigeria will better. All these nigerian churches preach about quick riches, quick money, prosperity, luxurious life thats why they have so many members because nigerians love MONEY!!! They dont preach about religion morals no more!!

In Nigeria, Church business is a very big business. Nigeria has so many successful church business men including Adeboye. They have made it big, so you have no option but to believe them. Ask them what they have given back to their members whose offerings enrich their pockets? Instead they build more churches just like opening a new branch of your business. They send their children to the best schools in the world and live luxurious lifestyles. I am Nigerian but I am not a fan of Nigeria pentecostal churches. All these pentecostal churches are disturbing the peace of Nigerians everyday.. Every street in Nigeria has at least 2 churches because business pastors want to make it big like Adeboye.... They are contributing to the problem of nigeria today. they take from the masses in large folds and give nothing in turn.

In Luke 18:8, Jesus said "... Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" Surely that prediction is being fulfilled today. Lying Pentecostal preachers are everywhere. Millions of church-goers have a false faith (i.e., a faith that is contrary to the truths of the Jewish Scripture: Old and New Testament). I am a Christian, but let me tell you something: I now know why Nigeria is full of fraudstars/fraudsters. The elders/preachers tell LIES all day long. That's why Nigeria is full of fraud. Weep for Nigeria. GOD HELP US TO BE COURAGEOUS AND SPEAK OUT AGAINST OUR FATHER'S HOUSE LIKE GIDEON who stood up against his father's house/the elders AND THEIR LIES. Judges 7:25-32 ???Now it came to pass the same night that YAHOVAH said to Gideon, ???Take your father's young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the (FALSE ALTAR) that your father has, and cut down the wooden IMAGE that is beside it; and build an altar to the LORD your God on top of this rock IN THE PROPER ARRANGEMENT, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the IMAGE WHICH YOU SHALL CUT DOWN. So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as YAHOVAH had said to him. But because he feared his father's household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night. And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, there was the (FALSE ALTAR), torn down; and the wooden IMAGE that was beside it was CUT DOWN, and the second bull was being offered on the altar which had been built. So they said to one another, ???Who has done this thing???? And when they had inquired and asked, they said, ???Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.??? Then the men of the city said to Joash, ???Bring out your son, that he may die, because he has torn down the (FALSE ALTAR), and because he has cut down the wooden IMAGE that was beside it.??? But Gideon's father said to all who stood against him, ???Would you plead for (THE FALSE ALTAR)? Would you save (it)? Let the one who would plead for (THE FALSE ALTAR) be put to death by morning! If he is a god, let him plead for himself, because his altar has been torn down!' Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, ???Let Baal (THE FALSE ALTAR) plead against him, because he has torn down his altar." These lying Pentecostal preachers are not YAHOVAH the true God. They are liars. They use FEAR to put the masses under their grip. NO ONE SHOULD FEAR THEM. If you are afraid, put your trust in the Scriptures, not in these LIARS who use FEAR TACTICS and often say "touch not the lord's anointed". The prophets of the Jewish Scriptures: Old Testament and New Testament are the Lord's anointed who we must listen to, not these Pentecostal lying preachers who give Shavuot a bad name. Oral Roberts wrote a letter to a man. In the letter he said he prayed all night long for the man's wife and that god told him the woman will be healed of the cancer. That man was so angry because unknown to Oral Roberts, that man's wife had died. The man angrily replied to Oral Roberts that Oral is a BIG LIAR.

It's very sad. SOME OF THESE LYING PREACHERS HAVE REALLY DECEIVED THEMSELVES. They think they are doing god a favor by telling MANY faith-building LIES. Contact: CreatorCame@yahoo.com

I follow the Jewish Scriptures: Old and New Testament. I believe God can do miracles but unlike these lying preachers, God's miracles are not according to our own will or greed or TIMING. Lying preachers set up miracle hours, it's contrary to the Scriptures. I don't blame the person who said "Habaa!! 200 miles on empty tank!!" Adeboye (and MANY DECEIVED PREACHERS like him) claim that god told him to just keep driving. These days, there are too MANY preachers that stand over the crowd and just tell LIES all day long. It's very sad that millions of people all over the world love to follow lying preachers such as Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, the Copelands, Fred Price, etc. rather than listen to the true Words of the true Jesus who said "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Anointed One!' or 'There!' DO NOT BELIEVE IT. For false anointed ones and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand??? (Matthew 24:23-24). 1John 4:1 "Beloved, DO NOT BELIEVE every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because MANY false prophets have gone out into the world." Contact: Taiwo. Most Pentecostal Pastors teach that they are protected from lacking earthly wealth. They teach that they are protected from physical danger/sickness. This makes them more important/powerful than the original apostles of the Lord Jesus who suffered greatly and could never teach such a seductive thing. In 2Corinthians 12:7-9, Paul said: ???And lest i should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest i be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing i pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, ???My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness???. Therefore most gladly i will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore i take pleasure in sicknesses, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when i am weak, then i am strong.??? See Hebrews 10:32-35. See 1Timothy 5:23 (Timothy, unhealed of frequent infirmities). God used His servants to heal many people but the miracles are at God's discretion and timing, not the apostles' timing (i.e., the apostles did not set up a Holy Spirit time when the Holy Spirit must come and do miracles. Blasphemy!! God is God, not preachers who use various mental tricks to prepare their followers and set up miracle hours).
