Can you explain to me why this man hasn't completely entered the oval office yet but, everywhere you turn there are people in the media, on the internet, television, etc. that are trying their hardest to discredit anything and everything this man says and does? Where were all of your questions when George W. Bush Jr. went into office, oops, stole the office? Where was your questioning to discredit McCain, a man who's political record was compared to George Bush Jr. and found to be similar but horrifically worst than George Bush Jr.?

There's a pink elephant in the room and I'm going to point it out? An African American man with dreams and solid plans for peace, prosper and change to fix OUR country has come into this office and the racist bigots of the American media (who are currently working/thriving in their positions only because Bush put Colin Powell on his team for the sole purpose of controlling the media through the influence Powell had on his son, the CEO of the FCC) and unfortunately some of the American people, are trying to break him down with every fiber of their being. He's trying to help us and bring us together for what America once stood for, One Nation Under God With Liberty And Justice For ALL, not SOME like it's current state is.

Notice how the media coverage of this war has been extremely similar to that of the Vietnam war. Why don't you question things like that? Why don't you question yourselves about when you'll gather up the BALLS to go back to real journalism and not flagrant gossip?

How about, why can't we come together and support someone who's had better plans to bring this country back to the top where it use to be and help us maintain our status there, than any other candidate in a long time?

Change is coming, wether you like it or not. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream has come true, so deal with it.

What a load of crap, loaded with unfair inferences and accusations. You couldn't wait until AFTER the Obama team releases their report this week? Then, if you weren't happy with it, you'd be free to cast aspersions (at least with some facts on your side). And gotta love the cutesy ending " --- wherever it might lead" with the obvious implications "... even if it leads... TO YOU." Really, haven't you learned anything from "Whitewater"? Years of accusations that, in the end, led to nothing? (oh, sure, Clinton had sex with Monica. But that had nothing to do with "Whitewater") Please, can you not do this to another President? Thanks.

Is this what we should expect in the next 4 years? Is this Chicago style politics? Can't wait. Maybe the last 8 years will look to us as paradise, compare to what we might see in the next 4 yrs.

I think the biggest mistake Obama made was being too sure in his first statement that absolutely nobody in his camp did a darn thing wrong. It was also the emphasis on the fact that Obama never spoke personally with the governor and yet we all know that somebody representing Obama did in fact talk directly with Blago. So it isn't that he lied, but that he felt compelled to answer beyond his knowledge at the time. When a person uses absolute terms they are often hard to defend later.

Well, the pigs taht were in the White House the last 8 years denied real subpoenas, you you are out of luck.

Where were all you brave reporters since 2000?

where is your outrage and your desired subpoena questions for the war criminals in office?
But from this author...I could expect no better....

where are your subpoena questions for the war criminals in office now........
Obama stated he will release his report on Monday........
oh well.....looking at who wrote this what could i expect....

  • Posted By: Dr_GS_ Hurd @ 12/20/2008 7:46:44 PM

Well, since the thugs in the White House the last 8 years have refused to honor real subpoenas, your chances are zero and none.

Where were you the last 8 years?

Selling a senate seat is wrong on many levels. This is not a democrat or a republican issue. AMERICA DESERVES TO KNOW ALL THE FACTS. Though I very much doubt we will ever know the truth.

What is inappropriate? That depends on what the presidential meaning of "is" is.

Now, the first 4 points I can agree with, the last.... not so much. If they leave this guy in and later find out that he is exaggerating what Blagojevich did..... Obama will be excoriated by his own party over that.
Better yet, leave him alone UNTIL the investigation is totally over, and then if he warrants dismissal.... ask him who in his office he would like this case handed over to and stick to that advisement.

The truth will come out. Quit this BS. This guilt by association racket is becoming the loudest noise in the news. Quit it already! I'm pretty sure Obama has met you Mr. Isikoff. Does that make him an jerk too?

THIS is PURE REAL CRAP of biggot REPUBLICANS

  • Posted By: J.Winston @ 12/20/2008 7:39:48 PM

What do Bush and the middle east have to do with this? Obama got caught working with the Gov to auction off the seat. Now he's using lawyer speak (no inappropriate contact) as the invetigation continues. Lets leave the ad hominum Bush attacks out of this and rather than non sequitur to complain about Bush, lets actually find out what Obama did or didn't do.

PURE real CRAP FROM BIGOT GENOCIDE REPUBLICANS

  • Posted By: LostDemocracy @ 12/20/2008 7:37:24 PM

I guess this is an example of Chicago style politics. Put on your seat belts, we are in for a rough ride.

  • Posted By: J.Winston @ 12/20/2008 7:36:02 PM

What exactly does George Bush have to do with this? Obama appears to have been caught with his hand in or near the cookie jar. That is the issue. Bush and the Middle East have nothing to do with auctioning off a senate seat. Stop using the ad hominum Bush attacks as a non sequitur and lets investigate what really happened. OK?

Are you kidding me? This is the last time I bother reading Newsweek. This article is like a pariody of FAUX News-- since when did you start taking your cues from Sean Hannity?
