What Happens Next?

Yes, we do care. We are saddened by the crushing agony you, your family, and others: both Israelis and Palestinians feel every day when terror strikes the streets of your cities. Unfortunately, there are those on both sides who feel that to put their foes to the sword is the only answer. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the root cause of much other distress in world, I can only hope that with new leadership, the US will finally make a concerted effort to resolve the issues. Yes, I know it has been tried before, but because we have not succeeded is no reason to continue to let people live and die without extending our hand to help. We must do so every day of every year until a peace of conciliation is finally, truly achieved.

Nobody in the civilized world cares, huh? Well, perhaps that because it's hard to feel sorry for you when the Palestinians instigated the attacks through suicide bombings and firing hundreds even thousands of missiles at Israeli civilians during the past year. You reap what you sow, honey.

The world does care. We just don't know how to stop it. It seems like there is a cycle of violence that never ends in the Middle East. No one should have to live that way. It's not humane, its not civilized, its not right.

It appears to "the civilized" world that the "uncivilized" world (most of the Arab world) thinks it is just fine for terrorists to target civilians, but if a civilian dies when the "civilized" world responds with force, that is a grave sin.

The civilized Arabs need to put a stop to this. You can have peace anytime you want, but the price will be stopping support for groups like HAMAS. HAMAS feeds off of causing their own civilians dying. They know that by attacking civilians in the "civilized" world there will be a response, which will kill Arab civilians, which will feed their cause. HAMAS simply doesn't care if you Arabs die, in fact they WANT Arabs to die (at "civilized" hands) because they know it will feed their cause.

It is YOUR world, YOUR people, YOUR ideas, YOUR support that has to change. Otherwise it will just go on for hundreds more years. Israel exists, and will be supported FOREVER by the "civilized" world. After all these years, and all these innocent ARABS dead, how much closer are you to causing Israel to go away? Stop the stupidity and you will find peace.

Martyrdom is a uniquely ARAB concept. NOWHERE else in the entire world does it exist, and it is destroying your peaceful co-existence with the CIVILIZED world. The civilized world is bigger and more powerful than the ARAB world and will eventually grind you to dust if things continue the way they are going. Sad, but true. Stop the insanity.

Hasan, I hope you and your family find a wonderful life in a new home. I know it sounds contrite, but home will be where your loved ones are, where you feel safe and free. I hope that one day your children and grandchildren can return to live in a new palestine-israel, productively and peacefully side by side with future generations of israelis; but right now you all have no chance of a free and happy life there. Take your love and hope to a new place and be free and safe. We in the 'civilised world' do care, and are thinking about you and the innocent people caught in this awful situation, unfortunately we don't know what to do that will really help.
