Fixing Uncle Sam’s Image Problem

Since September 11, 2001 there were may articles written about America's standing in the world . After the attack on Iraq world comment went super negative . I can understand since any stage of history since 1945 the United States was viewed as a nation with little respect .

I in the past posted the following and I must state that I was a member of the federal executive branch for over twenty five years . The duty of the President of the United States is to PROTECT and Defend the United States . Not protect and defend the liberal news media , the Middle East or China or the EU . I was IN NYC and worked on the federal response to 9/11 . I have NO APOLOGIES what President Bush did after 9/11 . I may not agree with the war in Iraq because ONE American life is NOT WORTH the effort !!

In America we have a are share of problems ...as we all know . Yes WE can't go it along . As far as I am concerned in Iraq the United States was high and dry with all its so callec allies with the exception of the UK and Canada in Afganastan .

Please ask me what I think of Europe after May 1945 . The USA was the ONLY nation that protected the Europeans from USSR . How many trillions of USD was spent on the defense of Europe . How should Americans feel about other nations . Why in God's name does the LIBERAL media put this nation on the defensive i.e America's standing in the world, How the world views GWB ., America is on decline ,

I agree America can't go it alone ......but in the defense of our nation the President must carry out his duties that must be justified and based upon the valid information that we have.

There's a few better ways to boost America's standing:

Stop trying to give the world orders.

Stop trying to be the world's cop.

Start remembering what made you great in the first place.

And, lastly, stop torturing people.

Prioritize? Hmm. Our prioritizing thus far has led us to gain enemies around the world and within our own country. By choosing to get involved with solving the world's issues (since the creation of Woodrow Wilson???s UN proposal), we have screwed too many people over. Our nation is hurting economically. Yet we???ve turned a blind eye until it???s too obvious to ignore. This is giving the means of implosion. We???re willing to fix the world before we fix ourselves. I mean, logically, do we remember all the wonderful things that people have done for us, or do we look at the few terrible mistakes they have made? Mistakes are remembered of course. That???s something called ???natural humanity.??? So the more you jump into things without thinking of the consequence, the more people are going to have against you. Example: leaving Bin Laden in the dust in the 80's just brewed his anger against us. This is a turning point in hatred toward America, but it's not the starting point. What is the starting point then? Like said below, you can talk politics all you want, but it's at the core: Religion. America claims to be under God, but do we make that obvious by our actions? No. We have a moral-less society. We fill our minds with cursing, gambling, drinking and sexual immorality. We worship it. And while we???re sitting here fantasizing about all the things that have been portrayed to us as the ???good life???, the world is growing against us. Religion is growing against us. Because we claim to be a Christian nation, Islam has targeted us. We are known as the ???Great Satan.??? They plot to kill us because we follow immoral images and idolize material objects. We are considered ???pigs and monkeys??? to them. They hate us because we claim to follow God, but do not portray it. Because of our tolerance towards everything, Islam has networked more than 1,000 mosques in this country that have gone ???radical??? (aka the one???s who will kill in the name of Allah and won???t let anything stop them). Their religion networks like a government. America has already burned its bridges. Islam is silent until it???s a majority. It???s the second fasting growing religion in the world. So you think America can just turn around and fix everything? Once you get through America???s thick skull about the way they live their lives, we will be destroyed. The best resort right now would be to pray that the Muslim???s and the rest of the world would have some mercy in their hearts toward us. If things can be fixed, then, prove me wrong.

If one cared to they could coutner just about every argument in this article and I don't even know where to begin even with the first word of the headline. I simply have to call the entire article an epic fail.

I predict Obama and th elibs will make us wildly popular around the world and within 2 years we will be attacked again on American soil in such a way that will make 9/11 look like a bar fight.

Personally I would like to thank France for making my country what it is today. We would not be the United States and we still would be under British rule without the help of the French. With that said I would also like to remind people of the US efforts around the world. Where would Germany, Japan, China, France, Britain or one of many countries be without our aide and comfort? Here is what I think we should do, pull our military (every last one) out of all countries around the world, take all aide and apply it to our economic needs. Isolation is the best thing we can do for ourselves. Kiss my Red Neck and fight your own battles. What ever happened to my AMERICA!

Eventhough Bradmann post his ridiculous response twice it doesn't get any more intelligent, in fact it only confirms the very problems with the ultra-right. The fact of the matter is the Republican Pary, which I happily abandoned med following their embrasing of racisism as the major ralling principle. This person reflects the ignorance of their membership to not know the fact that the strongjhold of the Republican Party, the Dixie States, take in far more money than they contribute to the nation. Sorry Bradmann it is you that have to wakeup and let the scales fall from your as to the facts. The Republican Party got slaughtered in the last election and is heading down the same same road.

i got an idea.... print an article about how we don't like them... their 7 th century ways, their hatred for womens rights, their hatred for freedom and liberty. them wanting to kill us. programming their children to hate us. i'm tired of you wusses saying "they don't like us." SO WHAT. the muslims will always hate us, their holybook say's to. WRITE about THAT you puss. indonesia is muslim. germany is a failed socialist state. argentWHO. Tolac, I agree with you but I think it is more than religion. I will add that in America we have lived far too long on our past and have forgotten what it means to work hard, save income, be content, and to quit coveting everything in sight. We treat each other in this country with blatant disrespect and want everything NOW. Women are obnoxious and men are spineless which in turn creates stupid kids that act like chav???s. Another reason is our greed. This is the reason for our dismal failure in politics and personal financial matters. Ask any European whether they have a credit card and most will say they pay for their stuff in cash. American higher education, as of 2003, was 80% with a high school degree while only 3% had an MBA. In Europe, 90% of folk have a higher educational degree. And yes, they may be unemployed or working at a burger joint, but they have the piece of paper that will eventually assist them instead of them being in their mid-40s earning a basic rate. Europeans have not forgotten hard work and discipline, we have. This article is just the icing on the cake so to speak. Every year I travel to Paris and I spend time with a couple that are two of my best friends and when I come back, I am mentally refreshed and challenged on how I can improve my own life. When I visit, I feel like I am with my own kind; mature, educated, good conversation, no blanter or demeaning discussion about others??? and their plight and we have a healthy relationship.. After returning to Michigan, reality sets in and I am disgusted at the lack of social values that I have to live with; nasty attitudes with a high school mentality. For example, why on earth any guy my age (46) looks at a 19 year girl and thinks in any way they???re HOT is beyond me. Their mental capacity is limited to that of their latest dress fad while 19 year old women in Europe have mature and well thought out conversations. In Europe, I have had discussions with children that would make some of my coworkers blush with embarrassment because of the maturity level of these kids. The difference is amazing. I challenged any American to travel to Europe and befriend a family and interact and observe to experience how they act and react in everyday social actions. Quickly it will become painfully embarrassing to realize how immature we are as Americans and how we lack the maturity to deal with our family and social interactions in the states. Psychologically, this country needs to grow up.

We really need to get away from violence as the solution to our problems, Lets look at the examples of Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King. In particular lets look at King's speech called "A Time to Break the Silence". This is in complete accord with the above suggestions that we cant go it alone. Thank you for this article.

Maybe if America stopped arming countries and interferring with their way of life and politics. Take a step back America, you dont own the world.
