To the people of the US and Italy,

Have the people in Italy lost their minds? This trial is a joke!! The prosecutor Giuliano Mignini is the bigger conspiracy theorist I have even seen!!!! He follows to lunatic ravings of this lady named Gabriella Carlizzi who runs a baseless conspiracy theory website in Italy. I had my doubts in the Amanda Knox case but now that I saw that this was the goon prosecuting the case I know she is innocent. Giuliano Mignini is a complete joke. I would like to have him in America for a min so I could show him what justice is all about!!!

Seriously, this prosecutor is the same one who "prosecuted??? the Monster of Florence case. Please go get the book by Douglas Preston and read what this moron Mignini did in that case. I cannot believe that the people of Italy continue to let this moron represent their country. I thought Italy was a civilized country but when you read and find out about this guys actions in the Monster of Florence case you will be asking yourself if Italy is not as bad and some third world country. I mean it is truly that unbelievable. This guy is a worthless thug, and should be put in jail himself!!

I have been to Italy many times and I will never return! I tell everybody I know to STAY FAR AWAY!! I am dead serious. If this is the kind of people the Italian government lets runs their justice system, then you need to be afraid. Real afraid!!

Stay away from Italy until they come back from the dark ages. Read the Monster of Florence book by Douglas Preston to find out about the craziest justice system in the modern world. It will terrify you to see what type of morons these guys really are!!

    Unbelievable!!

Americans can get fair trials outside the US only in Canada, not even in GB! Even if she could prove her innocence in Italy, the judge will not listen. She's American. She's toast whether or not she's guilty.

What an outrageous thiing to say Americans can only get a fair trial in Canada (or USA). Our jusice system in the UK is not too bad - certainly not biased against Americans. And of cours you have the wonderfully fair Guantanamo Bay over therdon't you?

For anyone who is interested in the facts behind the media spin, and who cares to learn more about the victim of this terrible murder - Meredith Kercher - there is an excellent discussion board

    http://perugiamurderfile.freeforums.org/index.php

as well as an interesting blog

    http://truejustice.org/ee/index.php

These online resources are not for profit. Anyone can read and/or participate and people from around the world do. They have followed this case since last November, and are in no way related to Amanda Knox. Nor are they her friends

Whew! Glad I'm not the only person appalled by this mother saying she doesn't know which family has it worse! Doesn't anyone edit these stories? She cannot possibly think her situation is worse than the death of a child, particularly one who was brutally MURDERED. Jesus wept.

I don't think that anyone could reasonably expect a not guilty verdict for Amanda Knox.
There are simply far to many "coincidences".

Amanda Knox was found to have committed an offense BEFORE she left for Italy.

Ms. Knox was charged in connection with an off-campus rock throwing riot/ party run amok at the U of Washington in February of 2007. (See Case #202557635, Seattle Municipal Court's website)

Thus, contrary to assertions made by Knox's parents, Amanda is no angel.

there is no blood on the knife, only DNA. Amanda's on the handle. On tip, who knows? Not enough to tell. Could be anybody.

There is no handprint on the face compatible with Amanda. That was just an early incorrect report.

The fact that Amanda Knox's blood was found mixed in with Meredith Kercher's blood proves that Amanda Knox was at the murder scene, at the time, or at least shortly after Meredith lost blood. In other words the blood was not in two layers, which it would be, if Amanda Knox had arrived many hours after Meredith died, as the blood would have set by that time and thus Amanda Knox's blood would have set on top of the already set blood of the victim. The fact the blood was mixed proves that she was there when Meredith died or at least shortly after she died but before the blood had enough time to set. I can not see how Amanda Knox could possibly convince the court that she was not there until halve a day later. Not only that, there is also that she was seen purchasing bleach and walking back towards the murder house as opposed to walking towards Sollecito's house. Now why would someone suddenly discover an urge for cleanliness without any explainable reason, especially considering that those who lived with her complained about Amanda Knox's hygiene and not taking her turn in keeping the place clean.

I also noted that Rudy Guede, one of the trio accused of involvement in the murder, has very predictably been convicted.

Do I expect a different outcome for Amanda Knox?

Well OJ Simpson succeeded with getting away with murder, but who actually thinks that OJ Simpson did not murder two people?

this is just junk science presented as fact

Doesn't the police claim there was a hand imprint on the face of the victim, compatible with that of prime murder suspect Amanda Knox.

As far as I am concerned, the sooner we have a verdict the better.

Murderers/muderess' need to be held accountable for their actions.

It took Amanda Knox quite some time to take responsibility for falsely accusing the bar owner of murder.
Of course that was not because she repented but because she knew she was caught lying.

To all those relatives and friends of Amanda Knox:
Some one who lies to police has a reason for lying.

Amanda Knox published a story which is very similar to what happened to Meredith.
I believe that Amanda Knox planned, instigated and participated in the murder.

Whatever happened to Guilty until proven Innocent?"

That relates to the legal process.
It does not mean that I think she is not guilty, I think she is guilty.
The police and the prosecutor seem to believe she is guilty.

The previous judges who looked at the case decided against bail for Amanda Knox and that the case should proceed.

If it appeared that she were innocent, then they would just release her.
    They have not done so.

Knox will be spending many more year in an Italian jail if I can take the liberty to comment on this.

People get murdered all the time. Who cares? This is just another unimportant story like Lacey Petterson or that lady who killed her kid. These stories get dragged on and on. If people stopped reading this crap the media would probably start focusing on important issues.

I think part of the reason, at least to begin with, that there was so much attention given to murders etc. is because people wanted to do something about it, to figure out what could be fixed for next time. It wasn't just hype and drama. That seems to be what it's become, but I think there are still some people who want to fix murders, and not just ignore them.

I'm from Seattle and have been following this story since it happened. I find it odd that Amanda Knox changed her story from the initial one she told. However, she is innocent until proven guilty. My condolences to the Kercher family -may justice be served.

Day 19 - Your comment shows that you are either ignorant beyond belief or have no children. Everyone who has ever raised a child knows that all you can do is teach them right from wrong and HOPE that it kicks in when they become adults and move out into the world on thier own. I have never heard of a parent who taught thier child to become an adult and become involved in a sexual satanic killing when they grow up. It appears to me that this girl has had parents who obviously love and care for her and while it may be true that they are guilty of overindulgence, I'm certain it was not thier dream for thier little girl to grow up and become involved in an international murder scandel. But you CAN NOT blame the parents for the choices that this young woman has made, she is of adult age and consent. And while drugs are no excuse, they are certainly a factor - I have never heard of anyone smoking hashish all day and being able to make good adult decisions afterwards, not to mention the other drugs involved, methamphetimines, etc. Come on though, give the parents a break. Bet Jeffrey Dahmers folks taught him to become the freak he wound up being too!!!
