    here's another one:

The lawsuit Philip Berg filed against Barack Obama and the DNC that calls for proof of his citizenship. Even if he was born in Hawaii, (the Hawaiin birth certificate on Obama's website and fact check looks like a forgery), his father renounced Barry's American citizenship in favor of and Indonesian one. That fact alone, disqualifies him from becoming president.

No matter what you people try to come up with, you will not stop Obama from becoming president. You lost fair and square, try again in 4 more years.

      • Posted By: Gianni555 @ 01/01/2009 9:39:53 AM

"You people" here makes no sense. Berg is a Democrat, and he is simply attempting to uphold the Constitution. It appears that Obama is not eligible to hold the office of POTUS, and the evidence will evenually come out. And everyone who defended him will have egg on their faces, and we may face a Constitutional crisis.

        • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 01/01/2009 6:07:43 PM

See above, you are an idiot too. And Berg, he is just another dirt bag lawyer crying for attention. That particular trait seems to transcend political affiliations.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 01/01/2009 6:06:48 PM

Hello there idiot, a father or mother cannot revoke the citizenship of a child born in the U.S. That is a decision for the child to make when he/she becomes an adult.

Wow, you missed reporting on the biggest systematically unreported story of all. And that is the allegations of Larry Sinclair against Barack Obama concerning his two day encounter in Chicago on Nov. 6 and 7, 1999. The stonewalling by this news organizations and others is shameful. Too bad for you, because in 2009 the story will get out even against your best intentions. Sinclair will be releasing a book In January about this and other stories that you in the MSM have been wilfully neglegent i reporting,

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 01/01/2009 6:04:16 PM

Maybe because the lies of one delusional gay man pathetically crying out for attention is not particularly news worthy. Even the Repiblicans stayed away from that one.

CHENEY in shackles. The ruse behind the war in Iraq. The laws broken by the neo-cons and thier dumb POTUS. Lewisburg for ALL of them.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 01/01/2009 6:02:11 PM

I think the firing of U.S. Attorneys should have made the list.

  • Posted By: REALITY CHECK @ 01/01/2009 11:37:09 AM

You missed the best one of all. Media bias in favor of Obama, with NEWSWEEK, NBC and The New York Times leading the way.

    • Posted By: Zig Zag @ 01/01/2009 6:01:14 PM

More sour grapes I see - get over it, Obama won.

Instead of blaming the media, why don't you blame the real caisue - the Republican party has lost touch with the majority of Americans.

The sooner you do that, the sooner the party will recover. II, for one, would love to have a real choice in the next election.

Good one. I don't know why Americans don't stand up in outrage and demand fair and balanced reporting.

You missed the environmental tragedies that will result from the late year policies of the Bush administration! They have passed numerous policies benefiting their buddies in the oil and gas industry, and even increased exponentially the number of snowmobiles allowed in Yellowstone.

    • Posted By: DNukem @ 01/01/2009 3:12:58 PM

That is important I'd agree, but not near as important as OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM THE UNITED STATES....If he is allowed to become president all Americans will know the status of the constitution...to many democrats another worthless piece of paper. IT WILL BE A SAD DAY IN THE UNITED STATES.

  • Posted By: SmallTownHick @ 12/31/2008 4:00:57 PM

Really, justtwobeers? Most of the "baggage" you deplore, you learned about FROM the media.
It is the media's job to report ALL the data, on both the Democrats and the Republicans. It is not the media's fault that the Republicans have more scandals attached to them.

    • Posted By: oldisbetter @ 01/01/2009 2:54:58 PM

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ABOUT MORE SCANDELS OF THE REPUBLICANS. WHO IS IN THE NEW MORE RIGHT NOW! HOW MANY REPUBLICANS PRES. HAVE BEEN IN THE NEWS FOR EXTRA-MARITAL AFFAIRS? AND IN "OUR TAXPAYERS OFFICE"

  • Posted By: climatehawk @ 01/01/2009 12:56:14 PM

I think one of the most underreported stories by the major American media this year was the tragedy of Hurricane Ike. While the "official" death toll stands in the low 80s, there are still more than 200 people missing and likely gone. While many of these deaths may have been preventable had people heeded evacuation warnings, that does not diminish the incredible human tragedy of this storm--one of the deadliest and costliest in American history. Yet due to other events in the news at the time, the mainstream media did very little follow-up reporting about the large number of missing people...when did human lives become less important than the economy or politics?

How about John edwards and his new age honey and love child. If the keepers of all things newsworthy had covered this story when reports first surfaced, Edwards would have dropped out and a good chunk of those votes from the early primaries would have gone to Hill and we would now be awaiting the inauguration of the first female president.

How about John Edwards and his new age honey and possible love child? Had the keepers of all things newsworthy covered this story when reports first surfaced, there is a good chance Edwards would have withdrawn and many of the votes that he received in the early primaries would have gone to Hill and we could be awaiting the inauguration of the first female president,

Your #8 story on Venezuela is a joke. The anti-American rantings of a dictator are a worthy story? Give me a break.

  • Posted By: oversight @ 01/01/2009 11:02:08 AM

Many major newsworthy events and investigative leads don't fit into the worldview that the mass media is shaping for our minds. The mass media is politicized, it wants to be the gate keeper to our reality. Any piece that doesn't fit, or which may conflict with the simple minded entertainment oriented world view is omitted. Thankfully, we have the Internet to fill in the pieces.

EVERYONE HAS FORGOTTEN ABOUT HURRICANE IKE...THE 3RD WORST STORM TO HIT THE U.S. I LIVE ON THE TEXAS COAST AND WE HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN ABOUT.

  • Posted By: 2178743 @ 01/01/2009 10:04:42 AM

Iraq is not a story anymore because the news is good. The number one unreported story continues to be the bias in the mainstream media. Newsweek is fine with the bias, they don't pretend to journalist covering stories. They have an agenda and that's freedom of speech. But the mainstream media, where's the story.

My hope for 2009 is that the simple thinking form many American is replaced sith though and reason. I really can't stand wishy washy thought on how the world works. SO far there are three comments. Two of them call names and one curses and calls the president names, the other one doesn't understand war and wants to know why we can't all get along. Far out dude!

Why si offensive war even and option? Should the violence of wars be illegal and politcal leaders charged for the destruction to human and other biological life? It seems no more preposterous than watching civilians reduced to scurrying helplessly from one border region to another? How do we morally reconcile watching this and not crying foul?

You guys are completely blind to the biggest story of the year that you happily ignored. The fraudulent candidacy of Obama. This guy has more baggage than an airport and less experience than a wedding night virgin, yet you chose to pound on the republicans and ignore the fact that we were about to elect a fraud....a fraud created and supported by the willing media.

Should offensive war be outlawed as an affront to human and biologcial life and political leaders be held libel for the destruction of society? If not, the provision of mental health services is the least for which humanity could hope.

MILKMAN is right. Why isn't Cheney in shackles?

  • Posted By: milkman23 @ 01/01/2009 7:56:28 AM

How about the inability of the press to effectively report on the abuses of power of the current administration? How about the inability of the press to hold the administration accountable for "outing" a foreign intelligence officer working under cover (FELONY)? How about 8 years of inability of the press to fire the imagination of the public with clear, concise and well researched stories detailing the actions of Cheney? You, as part of the press, have been as much the problem as GWB and Cheney. Shame on you; and shame on us.
