FINALLY, a statesman back in the Whitehouse. It is about time America took a lead role in negotiation peace instead of starting wars.
Foreign policy requires adult supervision. That's just what the Obama administration is likely to provide.

I don't know that I would totally agree with your assertion that we start wars. On September 11, 2001, I don't believe that we started that conflict with a bunch of idiots who flew planes into the World Trade Center or the Pentagon or into a field in Pennsylvania. Now should we have gotten involved in a war in Iraq? I didn't think so at the time because I did not feel that this was in America's best interests. Unfortunately, if you look at any war that we have been involved in most of them have dragged out. Had we left Iraq earlier we might have left a bigger mess than we started. My feeling is that we should not have gotten in alot of these wars in the first place because when a war drags on with all of the death and destruction it becomes more distatsteful. Look at Vietnam. We were there for a dozen years. After we pulled out an even bigger calamity occurred, Pol Pot and his Khemer Rouge thugs killed over 2 million people in Cambodia and piled their skulls up like souveniers. I feel that we need a strong military for protection, but we need to stay out of so many of these wars because they drag on to long and whenver we pull out a bigger calamity could happen.
"amateurism and irresponsibility " is this a knock on Bush or is Newsweek refeing to it's journalism. there was a time in this country when this type of yellow journalism was looked down upon. Thank you liibtards for taking the respect out of yet another profession.
It is refreshing to see that our politicians and reporters are returning to common sense and a healthy perspective, as opposed to letting the intolerant and the paranoid minority run the platforms, the news broadcasts, and the 'Comments' pages.
Fascist Protestant-based Christianity is still on the rise and will serve to destroy the USA and perhaps the world with its messianic delusions of Armaggeddon. It is in every way as repulsive as what the Taliban and Al Qaida promote. Obama served notice he's onboard with several moves one of them being who will say his Invocation. Blackwater is poised to become the Republican Party's SA type strom troopers financed with massive US contracts. The GOP may even split with the religious fundamentalists forming a Christian Republican Party around Sarah Palin as a figurehead. This will be as repulisve as the European Christian-Democrat Parties which laid the groundwork for Fascism.
Christian fundamentalist tryanny will find a vast number of collaborators who used to be enemies such as Blacks, Latinos and Southern Whites who feel a common religious bond, the worship of the White Man as the Supreme Being
which is all Christianity has become since the days of Charlemagne and King Henry II of England.
All the election did was put a smooth talking Black face on what will cntinue to be the agenda followed by Bush, Clinton, Reagan but ironically not by Jimmy Carter the only 'REAL' Christian who refused to cave in to the Corporate Facists and has been duly ostracised by them.
The USA will continue to give imbalanced and undeserved support to Israel out of some childish belief they are the 'chosen poeple' to whom Christians owe their existence. Nevermind that such support comes at the expense of over 100 million displaced Arabic speaking people who are indigenous to the land and have what the US and world needs more than some book.
Obama has shown no sing of any honesty towards the monopoly of plagiarism that has been the Jewish holdover simple-minded American Christians. So your assertions are either more propaganda or based on ignorance and childish dreams. So what? The Emperor of the USA is Black. Even Rome had African and Arab emperors before Christianity made it rot from within.
American foreign policy has only changed its face and the style of its implementation. The USA is still an imperialist nation. The fact Gates has been retain dismisses any notion of a 'stark difference' in substance. The USA will draw down troops in Iraq and only because of the need for them in Afghanistan. The folly of fighting a war in 2 theatres with a volunteer army. So all that's changed is McCain was gross but he revealed the insanity of the US position one that Obama has consistently supported only with a smooth approach.
