Shame on you! Where did you get your MD?? Oh yeah, you have a BS in HISTORY and an MS in JOURNALISM. Ignore the hype??? You site one medical expert and the rest of your column is based on personal opinion. I cannot think of a more irresponsible article to run, especially from someone who bills herself as a woman's health advocate.

Must agree. Sounds like the author(s) are having hot flashies and not wanting to accept the cancer link. Poor reporting. Ignoring all the health risks for a personal opinion. Must be paid by the drug companies. Hot flashes are a natural occurance as a woman ages. Remember: Chemo treatments are worst than a hot flash.

I agree with cormann1. I have to wonder what drug company funded this article. THe WHI study was ended EARLY because the link between HRT use and heart disease was so strong. Breast cancer rates drop dramatically one year after stopping HRT and the best you can do is quote someone saying "we don't really know if there's a connection or not...." I think most women would say "sure looks like a connection to me!". And the ridiculous point trying to distinguish whether HRT actually CAUSES or FEEDS the cancer is probably a moot point to the women who DIED from cancer. For shame.
