The biggest red flag the fund-funds chose to ignore was the fact that Madoff was also the custiodian of his client's funds. That alone should should have stopped them in their tracks and the fact that it didn't is absolutely irresponsible and reckless.

This is just another example of the systemic corruption that enbodies all levels of government, unions, and big business. I believe that this has killed our capatalistic system.

The SEC, Congress, Bush, et. al. should hng their heads in shame. There will be little investigation, and no convictions, or jail times. The ;main reason is that Congress cannot afford an in depth investigation into their activities, and those of the 35,000 plus Lobbiest in DC.

Mr. Manoor is right on, but they were no asleep, they were and are participants in this systemic corruption.

If you want another good example, take a look at the California Legislature,

bernie madoff was only doing what the federal reserve system does by overprinting the fiat dollar -- our glorified leaders in washington make bernie look small-time as they loot taxpayer funds, shifting them to shiftless wall streeters & big bankers who pocket the swag -- meanwhile congress is sleeping at the switch

Before anyone else does, Traxis should create a special fund to purchase the distressed assets of all of those people selling prime properties and other valuables! Can you believe that Madoff is apparently blogging at www.bernard-madoff-scam.blogspot.com ??
