    Didn't it come to your editors' mind to ask Mr. Sallai Meridor about Isreal's nuclear weapons and its regional impacts. If they are bad shouldn't theyt bad for everyone including Israel? Is it too hard to understand this logic? Ahmad Sheikh

    From that story: Yousef said he was indoctrinated at an early age to use violence to challenge Israeli control in the region. As a teenager he moved up within the organization and became the leader of the radical Islamic Youth Movement that fought Israeli tanks and troops in the streets, celebrated suicide bombings and recruited young men to the cause.

    Yousef, 30, said he realized the true nature of Hamas and radical Islam during a stint in an Israeli prison. He renounced his Muslim faith, left his family behind in Ramallah and converted to Christianity.

    "Islam is not the word of God," said Yousef. "If you want to be offended it's your problem. But you know something? Go study. Think for a second that I might be right. So wake up, look at your path, see where you're going. Are you really going to heaven with 72 virgins after you kill yourself and kill another 20 people?"

    Yousef has sought asylum in the United States and now attends an evangelical Christian church in San Diego, Calif.

      Don't make big deal of this. There are Christian converts who found similar contradictions in the Bible, it is people quality that is important.

    Nyreader...you missed the point....for the sake of argument, let's say Israel does have a nuclear weapon, then it has been pretty responsible as it has NEVER used it or threatened to use it against anyone, unlike Iran. Besides, Iran does does not care about Palestinians because if attempts to launch a nuclear attack against Israel, it will kill lots of Israelis and Palestinians. Iran simply does not care about Palestinians. Iran only cares about spreading its revolution and countering the West. If Iran cared about Palestinians, it would be an active participator towards furthering peace by ensuring the creation of two states - Israel and Palestine. But clearly, Iran does not want Israel to exist. Rather it wants to fund terrorism against Israel rather than emphasize on rebuilding the Palestinian economy. That's more important; Spending money on helping Palestinians than killing Israelis.

        and if you look at my original post, my emphasis is not on who has nukes. The key point is peace, unless you are arguing that you don't want peace. Let's start finding solutions. And one solution is to help the Palestinian economy rather than focusing on destroying Israel. The plan of destroying Israel has failed for 60 years and has only led to greater suffering on both sides. So perhaps the world should help Palestinians live better. And Iran can start by promoting a two state solution of Israel and the Palestinians. Believe me, if Iran did that...things would change for the better and we would hopefully see Palestinians live better.

    Please 103 nukes in Israel,NONE in Iran for at the least 5 more years.. yes this of course like the Palistinens justifies genocide and of course with our blessing and blood... Screw Isreal the butchers of the region, and now have killed more inocents than Hussain and Phol Pot together... wow can't we pick em,oh ya this is a Bible thing nothing tanagable. planes,tanks,troops and 21st century weapons, against stone age specials.. yup Isreal is far out gunned.. when they need to get one man,, and take out the entire building,, it's common knowlage the only one to die, is the one we bombed,right? no other residents bite the dust..From a Marine who saw us, when i looked at them. fighting daily for food water,and some prick pulling the strings keeping them under thumb. as the Brits had over us in our begining, given half a chance they would throw tea in the harbor too...Back then we could fight and stand a chance, today they ain't got a chance. Olmert is proven crooked and Bush is a pathalogical liar so why do we believe there intell?

    Iran has stated that they want Israel dead. Do you really think Iran is going to build a Nuclear bomb and then sit and look at it? Please. How quickly people forget. After 9/11, President Bush said that if a country harbors terrorists, then they too will be treated like terrorists. Palestine seems to want Hamas in their country or else they would get rid of them. They haven't tried to get rid of them, so they must support them. And if they support Hamas then they deserve what they get from Isreal. Isreal is defending itself from Hamas. As long as Palestine allows Hamas to stay in their country then make no mistake about it. They are no different than Hamas. Isreal has every right to defend itself.

    The road to hell is paved with good intentions.Shiite Iran now holds sway over not only its own territory but also wields enormous influence in Iraq,Syria and Lebanon.In the future,a nuclear capable iranian military will be able to send tank battalions and troops unhindered and unopposed right to the border of israel itself.Its fighters and bombers will fly from bases all across this wide region with no need to ask for airspace permission and they may very well be able to drive the Jewish people into the sea.A decade ago that would have been an Iranian mullahs pipe dream.Now it is coming true.

    so awaz, it appears your exercizing your freedom of speach, along with your freedom of openly announcing your religion or faith. Allwo me to enlighten you. It is not evil that makes itself always immediatedly known rather, evil's method is to slowly manefest in ihis sore and to invade within all bodily regions so as to consume and spread outward i.e.the hydra effects... There are great differences between these 2 known major religions, whil emany fractions exist within, it is rather apparent that the christian beleifs hold much higher values for life and freedom of choices than any muslim religions combined. CHristians allow muslims to live within them yet muslims would chose deadly force to prevent christians from walking the same earth...so awaz, next time your emotions feel prone to excersize your extreme right to freedom of speech, please remember where you live and why you are allow such intolerance...in the end, we will all be judged, how we got there will be what determines where we go forever...and awaz, the end is so very near...and is why evil plants it's hatred and intolerances with in the muslim and christian world...yet yours is to destroy and christians to save humanity from evils destructions.... when is the last time you huged a child or received a heart felt hug..only in the free world awaz....freedom to make choices that will ruin us or heal us...because in the end, it's all about how we got there...

    Don't forget about all the innocent women, children & men that the US has killed in Afghanistan & Iraq while fighting the war on terror. That makes the US the same as Israel - nothing more than poor marksmen at times. Don't forget about our US soldiers who have died by friendly fire as well. What do we tell their families?
