If Obama Is Serious

From what I understand the Jews will die out in a few generations anywaym due to a birth rate far lower than the surrounding countries.
But there is nothing more dangerous than young men with no purpose in life other than the brainwashing of religion.

We have no moral currency to spend. Our responses to being attacked or threatened are even more extreme. Also, there are too many factions, including some nations, that do not want peace and/or want the total distruction of Israel for there ever to be an equitable solution.

As for bilind support of Israel -- it appears to me that we and the rest of the world, have held them to a higher stnadard than any other nation-- eg. Russia's attack on Georgia. China's suppression of Tibet and so many more that are too numerous to count.

Sp long as States like Syria, Iran, and Russia seek to manipulate tensions to gain power in the region, it is highly doubtful any US diplomacy will be effective.

Perhaps the first order of business would be to conivince one of the sides to abandon the notion that the other should be exterminated as its central tennant. Any agreement Israel made for peace would be completely fruitless without such a concession.

As far as the "innocent" Palestinians being harmed while Hamas is being attacked. They ELECTED a group whose central focus is the anihilation of Israel. As far as I am concerned, they made their bed and now they can sleep in it.

The author of the article states... "Israel has every reason to defend itself against Hamas. But does it make sense for America to support its policy of punishing Hamas by making life unbearable for 1.5 million Gazans by denying aid and economic development? The answer is no." What he doesn't state... is what the response of a country being bombarded by rocket fire should do? My query is... if I don't like Aaron David Miller, and I decide to lob molotov cocktails at his house, his motor vehicles, his spouse, his children, and then hide behind non participants, what would his response be (assuming, that there is NO recourse to a court of law, such as exists in the United states)?

What nation would allow dozens of rockets daily to be sent into their country for years? Would the U.S. allow rockets from Canada or Mexico for ONE DAY??? What if a suicide bomber showed up in the local Walmart...would our government sit idly by and say, "Well, it's ok till next time."???
Remember, Iran's president's Muslim sect believes that their muslim messiah will come at the height of a time of great violence and war....so they are just working through Hamas to bring this violence about. But it won't be a muslim messiah who shows up in white-hot anger when nations surround Israel and she stands alone...it will be the messiah that was prophesied in Isaiah and who walked this earth and taught us to live and love (non-muslim religious concept--LOVE). Only this time He will be the Conqueriing King that Jews seek and not simply the mild Lamb who takes away the sins of the world. Same Savior, different time, different function.

Israel is like our spoiled child which we turned into the bully of the neighboorhood by groveling to it's every whim. Yes- they certinly need a serious spanking fro their own good.

Mr. Miller, I've been an Army counterintelligence agent for 14 years and Thank God--just received a medical retirement after being wounded in Afghanistan. I've worked all over the world--going from Bosnia to Kosovo to Macedonia to Afghanistan and then Iraq. And the one thing I've found for sure is--Islam is like a virus--it never stops or retreats and is completely intolerant of any other religion. I watched in each of the deployments I went on from the first time I deployed--particularly in Kosovo--how the people loved us when we first got there to liberate them from the Servs to 4 years later--when Madrasa where built by our "so called Allies."--and they hated everything about us and westerners. It's disgusting! There's no difference in Iraq or Afghanistan or Gaza. These people will never stop until they either convert you or wipe Isreael off the face of the Earth. The other commenter has a great idea. One of the things I always recommend to our ignorant and distant politicians in this country--before they comment about us--air raiding innocent civilians. Go there! Live along the border. Bring YOUR children and family and then we'll see how much sympathy you have for the Palestinians and not the Jewish people. If you did that--you might begin to have some credibility.

This American will gladly go back to Isreal and fight for them. Isreal is attacked time and time again and no one says anything about it except when they retaliate. Let them take care of Hamas, Isreal isn't scared like most American's. America needs to get real and stop being a bunch of whiney people who want to be over paid and expect to do nothing to earn their money. HOOAH!!!

So what does Israel do when Hamas continues to fire rockets into their towns and villages, regardless of what any ceasefire says? If Canadadian terrorists were firing rockets into New York City, but not killing many people, would we be expected to just "grin and bear it"?

How can america get tough with the only country that is being faithfull and atached to this country for more than 50 years?in an age where relationship change day to day, in a world were loyalty disapeared, we change bussiness,wifes,cities like we do with our clothes, Israel is our real little brother in the world and the only that we can trust in case of a global conflict, also 90% of the cientifics are jews, and nobel ciences too ,is the only country that is being giving to America more than its ask for, just imagine all the money that this country seed in Puerto Rico, or any other country bigger than Israel, and America never receive a technology from no other country even from europe like it does from Israel, becareful america do not leave Israel alone, remember germanies what they did, and the Romans, also Fidel Castro he refuses to receive jews in his land and look what is cuba now, when they went in Dominican Republic the land that they received is today the most productive in that country, remeber spain they expulse the jews and never again Spain came to be what it was before. Read the history and learn from it. Sahlom if you do not wanto to help jews don't do it but leave them alone. Go to the Bible and read Esther 6:13 and learn from history.
