If Obama Is Serious

The United States for The United States. Our citizens have origins from all over the world. We should respect that fact and favor no country unless there is a clear and just reason that favors our Nation. To side with Israel, to arm them with our best weapons and use satelite's to aid their offensive war against a people with no real army and little protection, is wrong. There is no right or wrong in this conflict, just wrong. Both countries are wrong in that they do not respect each other. We as a nation should hold the highest value for life and liberty for all.

This is just more biased reporting of what is happening. Forget the facts that Hamas has sent over 7000 bombs into Israel with civians being the only target for the last 7 years. The reporter has forgotten to mention that Israel warns civians of their plans to shell certian places by dropping literature .Hamas hides behind women and children and in mosques so that when their is an unfortunate death they run screaming to skew public opinion. The palastinians need to get rid of Hamas and aid israel in their efforts so that there will be peace.

This article is incredibly biased as we have seen most of the media is towards Israel. What about their right to defend themselves against the 7000 rockets sent from Hamas into Israel that were actually meant to kill civilians? Israel must put an end to Hamas. No one has reported that Hamas hides behind women and children and in Mosques and hospitals and when Ir\srael strikes they scream that innocent life has been targeted. FOOEY. No one ever reports that Israel drops literature to warn innocent people that they will attack.. Where is the true reporting of what is really happening?

i think this is the best way to deal with both sides. the Jews and the Arabs. i feel that we have been always on the Jews side and leave the Arabs with nothing to look forward to. Israelis should be held accountable for what they have done to the people of Gaza. more 1000 people have died since they began there bombing of Gaza. i see small children and many others that are dead or dieing because of there out of control war that will only fuel more hate towards them. i hope president Obama can be far to both sides.

What is it you don't get? All terrorists Muslims believe that if you are not Muslim, you are an infedel., and all infeldels must die. That to me is double talk because an infeldel is one who attacks another's Religion. That would make Osama and his followers infidels. Obama is an infedel in the worst way. Why? Because he was born in the Muslim faith and was, at one time a Muslim. nothing against that, bu when you denounce your Muslim faith to Muslims like Osama, death is certain if you are found. Obaam has a very rough road to travel down. He will never be able to make peace in the Middle East because Osama Bin Laden believes Obama is no different thatn President Bush. That's REAL change.

Get tough with Isreal? WTF If cuba was sending missiles into Florida Obama will probably say we need to talk to them and befriend them Ask them to quit it will work. Shame on both Aaron David Miller and Newsweek for this hypocritic article. In 2005, Israel has withdrawn COMPLETELY from Gaza. As a "reward", Israel has got the attrition war and daily rocket attacks from Hamas. This is another, one thousand and first proof that the Islamo-fascists will never reconcile with the very existence of Israel, they are obsessed with the idea of drowning Jews in the sea. And yet, when Israel starts the defensive operation to protect its citizen as any normal country would do a long ago (Israel has waited since 2005 until now with that!), Mr. Miller calls Obama to get tough on Israel, citing the settlement activity as the main obstacle to peace! I am sure Mr. Miller is perfectly aware of the fact the Arabs started their war on Israel in 1948, the next day the Jewish state was established, and well before any settlement was ever established (well, if course unless you view Israel itself as one big settlement that should be removed - maybe that's Miller's point ?). Of course, instead of getting tough on Arabs, it is so much easier to get tough on Israel... Disgrace and hypocracy.

I sympathize both the Israelites and the Palestinians. I take back my previous comments about the Christ thing, It was actually the Romans. I sincerely apologize. Unfortunately this article is wishful thinking. i do not think that Obama is up to the job of being tough with anyone. He talks the talk but can't walk the walk. We have seen this in his changes of policy toward the Iraq and Afgany war zones.
He seems to make blanket statements about his feelings without the benefit of the intelegence that has been gathered and true understanding of what the consequences of rash action can mean. In his defense, I believe this is through being an Idealist that has not had to cope with the realities of world politics and processes. I believe that he is intelegent enough to learn the job, but does he have the integrity to do what is right even when all are pulling him in another direction.
