If things were only that simple tb4185 , we would all be living in a wonderful world. The problem is extremism, which is why it is called extremism. If it is used under any circumstance, whether it is islam, christianity, judaism, racism, sexism
or etc...then deathwill always result. This is something that can not be resolved by sitting down at a table because it is
usually taught from birth. Which means, we people that believe in democracy and the right to be able to live in peace need to fight back against those who wish to cause us harm.

Get tough with Isreal? You cant be serious? These Hamas terrorists want to kill Isrealis with random rocket fire, then complain about the consequences. Then the terrorist apologists decry what they call "disproportionate response". If Arabs quit blowing themselves up, and lobbing rockets at the Isrealis, they in turn will stop attacking Hamas. Mr Miller like so many palastinian apologists over complicates the issue, when the truth is the Islamist's that run Palastine just need to humble themselves and focus on getting along rather that subverting their Isreali neighbors and promoting hatred.

The majority of people preach peace and tranquility, the problem is they don't practice it. Yet people stream to the USA to basque in the freedom that we preach, but don't practice ourselves. We should be practicing isolationism like most presidents did before the World Wars. Isolate ourselves and shut-up about trying to police the world. We have 5% of the world population, we cannot control them. That is until they need us to save their sorry A$$e$ again in the next world war. There will never be peace on earth, so let the calm and sane people take out the unstable insane people. As far as America, there were hundreds of Native American tribes killing each other before the white man arrived. As sad as it has been, the white man has preserved the native americans more than they have themselves. We can't go back to yesterday, it is impossible. Move forward and stop whining.

Oh by the way, I do happen to believe in The Bible and GOD said in the end times he would make Israel a Nation again and gather her people from around the world (Guess GOD used the U.N. to acomplish this in 1948) and that Israel would be a thorn in the side for all people untill the second coming of the Messiah. Sounds right on to me, you cant pick up a paper without reading something about Israel, a country the size of Rhode Island ( thats a small state).

You seem to forget that the expressed goal of Hamas and Hizbollah is to "drive the Jews into the sea," and the distruction of the "Jewish" State. Granted the Israelis have not always been fair with the Arabls, but in 1948 when the "Palestinians" were offered land for their own state they declined. Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt also denied access to the refugees from the new State of Israel. Nobody has wanted the Palestinians. Palestinians did not exist until Yassar Arafat invented the term in the 1960's.

Why take the advice of someone who has been working 25 years of on this issue for six secretaries of state and still hasn't gotten it right. Perhaps Aaron David Miller isn't much of an adviser ...........

What rock are you under? The Palestinians voted to have Hamas rule over them. The only way the Palestinians will ever live in peace is to remove Hamas them selfs. As long as Hamas rules and lives with the Palestinians there wil never be peace because Hamas belivies there should be no Israel. Who says war should be balanced the guy with the biggest guns win. The only Americans from america are the American Indians. The US was a land grab made by governments from other regions, let's face it, most US citizens aren't even from this region. So I guess are right to exist is not a given and we shouldn't have retaliated for 9/11. We should all just pack up and head back to where ever our grandparents came from.

Israel not only has the right, but an obligation to do whatever it takes to destroy Hezbolah, they are nothing more than terrorists. The region will definetly be the next World War. And like always the USA will end up liberating the real victims, those Muslims who do not agree with the terrorists who have been leading them for years.
