If Obama Is Serious

i guess that most people think that that spot in the middle East is an Israeli property. it is not. and it as never been so. Israel and Jews are only intruders who are trying to steal the property of others, Palestenians and Arabs in general. this is absolutely unfair!! because when you complain about being disturbed by "a neighbour", then what would you do when someone come to take your house and expulse you and your family from it???
what is the worst?? all i can say that the fake state of Israel has no historical reference and the fighting in the Middele east will never have an end simply because a great majority of people ignore what history has proved and how Israel came to being!!
the killings in Gaza are far more damaging than the rockets of Hamas and it's becoming more frequent that when an Arab cries out or reacts to get his rights, he finds a million obstacles.... and rockets.

I agree with granpa5, they must come together as one country. They must accept each other and live side by side. But unfortunately i do not see this happening unless the Palestinians stand up for themselves and do things in a democratic way. I know it sounds impossible, but i believe it is the only way and the rest of the world should get off of Israels back because they have every right to protect their people, and their counrty.

and the original land belongs to the Palasteinians and Israel is the one who is occupying it not the other way around so if someone must go out then they are the ISRAELIANS!!!!!!!!!!

When will eveyone learn. There will not ever be peace in the Middle East until all sides learn to accept each other and quit this stupid fighting. It is also time to tell the people in Gaza to become Isreal citizens and quit dividing the country. Either accept or move out. Remember the citizens of Gaza elected the Hamas leaders so either the run them out so they can live with Isreal or expect the worse. How many of you would allow your neighbor to shoot into your house, throw rocks at your kids, etc. Same thing applies to Isreal & Gaza, no one else is willing to stop the rockets so Isreal is going to one way or the other. Yes it is time to get tough. Time for Isreal to eliminate seperate states within the boundry of Isreal. Tell the people of Gaza to either accept living in Isreal or get out. does any of you really know what the hell you've talked about , more than 700 people are dead in Gaza and the numbers are increasing and more than 3000 are seriously injured and Israel just wont stop. the Gazans are defending themselves against the soldiers who are killing them,Israel is the one who started the war and started killing and the Gazans are defending themselves.or you think they should just stay syill and get killed?!!

Obama doesn't have the least amount of experience or the lightest idea how to deal with sensitive foreign policy other than the photo fare in the Middle East and other liber.. countries. What is he going to do come decision time? Rely on advices from people like Biden? He just can't do that. The libs.. elected him president. He has to make his own decision. Right or wrong he has to stand by it. No "tiptoeing" in the middle. And he has no more Bush to blame like he normally does. Wrong decision and his liber.. voters and supporters should be blamed for electing him. In response to the article above...It falls somewhere between wishful thinking and self-defeating, outdated, idealism.

Is it me or is there an unusually high amount of anti-Israel sentiment running rampant in the US? (not just Miller's article, but the US news coverage and perspective in general). It's literally every where and feeding into what terroristic groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah want-That they are the true victims in this political and military struggle.

Israel, during this short military action has shown more compassion towards the Palestinians than Hamas has. Hundreds of thousands of Gazans received warnings in the form of telephone messages or fliers that their buildings were Israeli targets.

What compassion torwards the people it serves has Hamas shown? Here's a news bit taken from Haaretz.com reporting on Hamas executing "suspected" Fatah members who are helping the Israeli military-

....I sincrerely pray that our democrat and republican representatives, congressmen, and the President-elect himself understand that to make any bargining or peace making effort with Hamas or Hezbollah would undermine every effort to stop mass terrorism in the reigon AND letgetimize a group of disguisting, pathetic thugs into a political force. Plain and simple.

Obama should spend his next 4-8 years guaranteeing Israel's survival and destroying all these illegitimate militias trying to pass off for governments. After thats done and Arab citizens from Lebanon, Palestine, Iran, and Syria all have true, strong, democtratic governments, we should talk peace.

The UN/US can try a 1,001 different angles of bringing peace to the region, but the facts are you are dealing with terrorist groups that will not stop until the nation of Israel is no moret. They terrorize their own people and we some how believe they will play by the rules?? There is only one possible way to have peace in the region, Israel would have to kill every man, woman, and child. Obviously this will not happen...or atleast not yet. So get used to these skirmishes, this is just an attention getter prior to Obama taking office.

They didn't get up one sunny morning and decided to start this. Those cities at the south of Israel are sufferring from those lauches for over 2 years and through those 2 year Israel didn't respos! They just kept asking Hammas to stop! Hamas didn't stop and that brought us to were we are right now!
I know it's easy to fall for those pictures you see at the news and papres but that is not where things started! Any country at any part of the world would not stand by while it's civilians are being attacked day after day after day! Not one! And Israel stood by long enough. It's time to bring back security to the cities of Israel! And if Hamas won't stop lanching those missiles then there's no reason for Israel to stop this operation!

So when you see a mother bringing a child to an hospitla or a man bringing his father (and by the way doesn't look very worried) try and look past that... and trust me I know it's hard, but try and see what happened before and what really brought them to that situation.
