its a nice try, but its pointless. THe KPs did not support the BJP when they were targetted and terrorised and drive out of Kashmir. Even now, they do not uniformly support the BJP.
At the end of the day, the truth is that the KPs did no harm to the muslims before 1989, they have done no harm to the muslims after their exodus, but the kashmiri muslims continue their efforts to malign and denigrate the KPs. Because the alternative would be to acknowledge that the kashmiri muslims terrorized and targetted them.

Today Jan 19th completes the 19th year when Islamic terrorists in Kashmir had formally unleashed untold miseries on minority Hindus leading to their sudden exodus and subsequent ethnic cleansing. Naive as majority Muslims had been in wholeheartedly supporting the terrorists thought that by killing and hounding away minority Pandits, secession from India would follow.19 years later boundaries continue to stay put. The damage to Kashmiris both Hindus and Muslims is irreparable.Hindus lost their homes and hearths and Muslims, their eternal peace of mind. I wish Kashmir reverts back to relatively peaceful pre-1989 times.Once bitten, Pandits may or may not return back but by returning to peace Kashmiri Muslims would sure do good to themselves.May peace prevail.

Fat lot of good jihad did them in kashmir. All it got them was a lot of suffering for Kashmiris.
Kashmiri muslims should understand that India will not give them anything that would amount to a win for Pakistan.
This is not about kashmir. its about India and Pakistan and India will not concede one inch to pakistan. Kashmiri muslims have stupidly turned themselves into canon fodder on behalf of the pakistanis. If they were smart, they'd tell Pakistani to go to hell and leave them alone.
But if they won't do that, if they have affinities for India's enemies, then they have made the choice to side with India's enemy and they have made the choice to suffer the consequences.
If Pakistan is to be stable, successful and prosperous in the 21st century, it will have to make peace with India and integrate its economy with India's. If it refuses to do that, then thats its choice, but it won't get any closer to any resolution on Kashmir.
and if the Kashmiris sit around waiting for the day they'll get azadi from India, then it their choice to keep suffering indefinitely.
Kashmiris will get nothing from India that will amount to a win for Pakistan. Pakistan tried war 3 times. pakistan tried terrorism and jihad and insurgency. It has failed every single time.
India, after having denied Pakistani any success on Kashmir for 60 years, should just hand over kashmir to people whose anti-India hatred has produced no results so far? Not going to happen.
If Kashmiris want peace, they should make some accomodation with India about real autonomy within the Indian state, end of indian national parties like congress and BJP participating in J&K elections, etc, maintain state subject related prohibitions against non J&K subjects owning property, etc.
If they can't accept it, if they want azadi, then they are waiting for India to accept defeat to Pakistan.
and they will be waiting a very very very long time.

Her story has struck home with the broader Kashmiri community. Many of the commentators have presented their own stories of pain, some comments unfortunately were an articulation of the very forces of hate that have gripped Kashmir tighter than a boa constrictor could.
However, no one has commented on Aarti's provocative title, "It is never over, never escaped." Is she really right? Is there not a single commentator who can articulate a statement that says Aarti you are wrong, that healing can occur that humanity can conquer the forces of hate and that people can overcome jihad or state repression and demand good governance for all citizens where they are protected without any discrimination in terms of life, liberty and pursuit of individual happiness. As the majority community in Kashmir the Muslims clearly will determine the first move as they always have for good or bad. The recent elections are an encouraging beginning and it is important that the Kashmiri Muslims save themselves from their saviors. Instead they should exercise pragmatic discretion and informed judgement in the choices that they make so that they can truly build a better future for themselves and their loved ones.
If Aarti has forced us to confront the collective demons that reside within us and within Kashmir she will have done a signal service. If she has challenged us to find a way to escape out of our man made hell by holding a mirror to our future and telling us in plain words that it will never be over she has set the right challenge. As far as I am concerned this article was great journalistic writing and keep it coming.-

Aarti, perhaps will never escape the horror of her childhood as no chhild in Gaza will and she is also right that it never will be over. It has not been over for Kashmiris of one kind or the other and people of the Holy Land of one kind or the other. Forces of hunger for power and riches will see to it that it never is over. Nothing has ever changes in this world that is led by power hungry and money. Look into the history of mankind, all around the world. The meek inherit only in the kingdom of Nirvana, if there is such a thing. Dear Salim today i read the pakistani news paper and saw the news also on pakistani news channels and they say that India should hand over Colonel Prohit of Indian army to pakistan, Colonel Prohit of Indian army is this time in indian jail as he was caught with RDX and is involved with Maleagaon bomb blast and bomb blast of Samjotha express train which runs between india and pakistan.
Colonel Prohit of Indian army planted bomb in the train and 55 pakistani nationals got killed in that train, with colonel Prohit of indian army there are many hindu terror group leaders and religious seer also in jail, namely a female religious Sadhvi pragraya singh she is also in jail as she provided support in the bomb blast of maleagon in which muslims got killed.
Indian top religious sadhu ( religious seer) named sawami dayanand is also in jail for terror activities
all these indian terror groups are getting money from non resident indians living in USA and UK and europe, they are getting substatial supply of money from Kashmiri pandits also who are interested in spreading terror in kashmir and jammu.

I can empathize with this Ms.Singh. Kashmiri Pandits have undergone a mass murder. It is easy for liberatl 'western' journalist or 'secular' pundits to find root causes of Islamic Jihads. They can call them militants, extermist etc. and play with semantics. But the Child who had to face the Jihadi terrorist these have no meaning. I wonder where these civil rights brigades went when the Islamic terrorists creating all these violence!! There is no sense of justice anymore and least of all in these arrogant media.

Arti, Great job. Keep it up and educate the world of what is correct. As far as Marazi is concerned, my request to my folks is not to bother too much about him. He is just a misguided missile and I am sure it will fall in it own house soon. The day is not far and I can see it coming. They must have got a good lesson of what Pakistan is made to do (at least on an exterior) with its own people. My prediction - it will be Pakistan soon which will kill these people.
We will go back to Kashmir. Soon with God's grace. And now, I am sure it will not be a one community dominated state. They will be either extinct or they will crawl on their knees to let them be there.
India also I feel should be like Israel. Go inside, bomb them, make them bend backwards and then these people will understand. That is the only way senses will come back to them. Enough of feeding these parasites. And one resolve among us and the rest of the world should be to not buy anything which is made out of Kashmir. The same funds go and fund terrorists. It is a wonderful piece of work. The rabid response that it has drawn from the fundamentalists is proof that it has shaken them.
It is immaterial what age you were when you left the valley. The fact is that attrocities were committed. Someone's freedom struggles and delusions robbed the Kashmiri Pandits of their own homes.
The bottomline is terrorism in Kashmir is of the Islamic variety. It originated from the Mosques and the hapless victims were the minority Hindus. Hindus were evicted as part of a well thought plan. The fear pyschosis created and psychlogical warfare that was played out can not be imagined by normal citizens of India or the globe.
Only a Rwandan Tutsi or a Iraqi Kurd can possibly empathize with us.

Sure they are welcome back, as long as their return helps the Kashmiri Muslims stop looking like the supporters of terrorism. But it is too late for that now. KPs have lost their homes in kashmir, they have no jobs in Kashmir, they have lost their social structures in Kashmir, they have built new lives elsewhere, they have made new lives for their children, found jobs, found homes.

No body is happy after leaving his home and hearth. No one would like to let his roots be embeded in to the unknown. Therefore it is a reality that Mumbai has brought back the memories of a horrible past that made us all leave behind our best and be refugees in our own land. Aarti has seen it all as a child and she can not forget it. She needs to be thanked for bringing the whole issue once again out in public for a debate. Obama was talking about involving the US in settling the Kashmir dispute. He had been influenced by the thinking of Ahmed Rashid, and was planning to put serious pressure on India. It was starting to look like Indo-US relations would be headed downhill very rapidly and the party for India would be over, and that Indians would soon be shown that they are not as important or relevant as they think they are, that the US doesn't need good relations with India at the cost of good relations with Pakistan and China.
THings were looking bad for India.
Then the Pakistanis attacked Bombay and the whole situation flipped on its head. All talk of envoys and US mediation disappeared. the pro-India, anti-pakistan sentiment in the US public soared.
THere is now no question of any US mediation on Kashmir, and Pakistan can forget about getting any of the coddling Obama might have given it. This event has exposed to Obama that islamic terrorists operate openly in pakistan, that they are aided by the military and intelligence, that they are trained by ex military and intelligence, that the military and intelligence has no intention of reigning them in, that the civilian government has no power,and that these terrorists and the pakistani military's involvement for them will remain, even if Kashmir is solved.
And even if Obama does think about US mediation, the bombay attacks have given India the resolve to tell him to go to hell for siding with islamic terrorists.
In short, the bombay attacks have ended any chance of Obama getting involved on Kashmir.-
