When Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik will solemnize his Nikah in the house of senior JKLF leader Dr Farooq Hyder at Rawalpindi on February 22 history would repeat itself after 27-years.
On January 22, 1982, then chairman of JKLF Hashim Quershi???s marriage was solemnized in the same house. Quershi who was involved in the hijacking of the Indian Airlines Fokker Friendship, the Ganga, in 1971, got married to his cousin in Pakistan in 1982 after his release from Pakistani jail.
???My baraat was taken from Hyder Sahib???s house and all the arrangements of the marriage were made by his family. Hyder Sahib and his wife Iffat Farooq did every thing possible to make it a Kashmiri marriage. I felt at home,??? Quershi told Greater Kashmir.
Dr Farooq Hyder was close associate of late Muhammad Maqbool Bhat.
???It is strange co-incidence that now Yasin Malik???s marriage is also being solemnized in Hyder Sahib???s house. Recently I called Iffat Jee and asked her about Malik???s marriage. She replied in a lighter vein that their house has become a Shadi Ghar for Kashmiri leaders,??? he said.
Earlier in 1984, Ashraf Quershi???s marriage was also solemnized in the same house. Ashraf was co-accused in Ganga hijacking case.
Senior JKLF leader Altaf Ahmad confirmed that Malik???s Nikah would be held in Hyder???s house on February 22. ???The ring ceremony was also held in Hyder???s house last October and his wife Iffat Farooq presented the ring to the bride on behalf of Malik.???
Altaf said that the dates for marriage would be fixed somewhere between July to September.
Malik is marrying a UK-born Pakistani Mushal Mullick, a post-graduate in Political Economy from London School of Economics. She is daughter of Rehana Hussain, chief of the Muslim League. Her father Dr M.A. Hussain was an internationally renowned Pakistani economist.
Malik was to marry Mushal in October last year, but before that he was arrested and jailed for opposing the elections in the Valley. Malik is the third separatist leader from Kashmir to choose a life partner from outside the state. Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is married to an American-born Kashmiri girl Sheeba Masoodi and People???s Conference chief Sajjad Gani Lone married to a Pakistani girl, Asma Khan, daughter of JKLF leader Amanullah Khan.
Malik is presently in Pakistan and his family plans to cross the border in a bus on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road to attend the marriage. However, the bride is expected to move to Jammu and Kashmir only when her family visits Srinagar in the summer.

A hindu High cast brahmin Maninder sing pandheer has been sentenced to death by indian high court he had raped and killed more than 30 children. this high cast brahmin was until now being protected by CBI a premier indian investigating agency. this agency has a record of not solving any case , but it has another record , it has falsly implicated hundreds of muslims in faslse cases. tis agency is used by ruling govt which is always a high cast brahmin to discriminate hindu lower casts and muslims.

Today's KM owes everything thing to there "BUB" and they did shed oceans of tears when he died....I remember Sunni Muslims followers of the BUB doing Marsi by wailing and beating there breasts, nearly giving the BUB a prophethood status.......any one who hears all this will think that "BUB" must be having a great following in the valley and like Gandhi...he must be a revered figure......but alas my friend.....the same KMs pissed and spitted on his grave a hundred times.....and for years now,government of India is spending thousands of rupees in safeguarding his humiliated,mutiliated grave ,lest some KM relieves himself on his mortal remains....in whatever form of matter.

No example can beat this example of betrayal, change of guard, change of loyalties,khudgarzi and the adjectives can go on and on.............

My family was a resident of Habba Kadal. We had a KM neighbour... Ali Pachin.... He was not economically well off.
He had a very old mother, a wife and 4 small children, the eldest of whom would have been my age.He had recently started driving an auto for earning his livelihood.

One fine day, there was a loudspeaker setup just outside his first floor window... the loudspeaker was of the masjid that was just near the Habba Kadal Bridge... I remember that masjid clearly, coz it was my bus stop for my school (Mallinson).
You must be remembering what used to go on in masjids those days... what fanatic and long speeches used to be given everyday to scare KPs and develop anger among the KMs...

Anyway, what happened was that one day, the people from the mosque decided to put the loudspeaker just outside his window as his house was on the main road... He was at home that time and told the person to put it up a bit further as his mother was old and sick most of the time and she probably would be bothered by the continuous noise... but the person did not agree... after all, he had the support of so called freedom fighters and organisations like JKLF... but of course he did not forget the incident and Ali Pachin was shot in his auto a few days later...

And it did not stop at that.. his body was brought to his home and kept just outside a medical shop near his front door... and announcements were made that nobody should touch the body and help the family with the last rites... But people did come.. that too KMs... they thronged his house... Do u know for what?? they came to spit on his body and they did... we saw them from our window... so the body was there till the night set in and the ' freedon fighter spitters' started going home...I remember seeing my father trying to go out to help his family and my mother and grandmother stopping him, physically pulling him back, fearing for his own security.

In the night, we saw an army truck coming in and helping the family to take his body for burial...his family, where the children did not even know what was happening and only the poor wife had to bear everything as the mother was totally distraught and died after sometime.

We had to leave after 1-2 months in after Ali Panch was killed , because of the announcements in the mosques, the posters in front of Ganpat Yar Temple which asked us to leave and the threats to individual KPs...Not forgetting the announcement from mosques that they had poisoned the water supplies, at which my mother was consoled only because we all had drunk that water and if it was really poisoned, all of us would die together..

We could have fought back and stayed on, but unfortunately we did not have AK 47s to fight people who would come to kill us some morning and then our dear KM neighbors would not even lend us one of theirs...

I have and had many KM friends, many of whom I met after long years and hugged each other so tightly as if to break the gap of decades , many are as intellect, as virtuous and as loving l but "individually" with a capital "I" but the moment they are in a "Jamat", they lose all senses of morality, individuality,sensibility.loyalty virtually everything that is human.......How there is an dialogue possible with KMs, I can sit with you as a KM, appreciate your intellect, cry over the torn social fabric of Kashmiriyat, recall the good old days of Hindu Muslim Itihad, have a coffee or a beer and move ahead.....but individually , talks are not possible with those who are responsible for the "Hijrat" of KPs not once , not twice but over 1/2 a dozen time in last 800 years......for a KM, any upheaval in the faithfuls world was a KPs fault, whether it was Rushdie ( a M) writing something, buttoo hanged by another M,some one inscribing a sura on a wine bottle, Pakistan losing a match , always the hapless KP was the victim, a few dead, a few temples & KP homes ransacked or a temple being permanently locked.....Imagine...what would have been KP fate when Babri was demolished or Hindus finally learning the "jihadi" ways in Gujrat. Thank God , we were far away from that frenzy......

Now the so called elite KMs are asking us to come back and live in Harmony like good old days? Harmony? Is that a joke? Is living under a constant dear called Harmony? Is being a butt of ridicule always called Harmony? Is making Kashmir a Pakistan with KP women called living in Harmony? Is looting KP property called Harmony? Is killing and maiming hapless KPs harmonious? and now these so called leaders are asking us to come back? for what , again to be hounded after some time......no man.....we also have learnt our lessons.....we might have forgiven a looter 16 times...or returned 92000 POWs with honour after feeding them for months or came to the help of a M nation who was being raped and tortured by another M nation ....but we are now cautious....we may not stoop so low to see who is a boy and who is a man by derobing them but yes....we won't make the same mistakes....

Tarik Ali's book "Clash of Fundamentalisms: Crusades, Jihads and Modernity" where there is a reference from a Pakistani general who says" Muslims are neither watan parast nor wafa parast, we are only Allah Parast". This is a good definition portrying the inner physique of a Muslim mind.
