An Inexact Analogy

To facilitate round figures let???s just say that the Obama stimulus plan ends up around an even trillion dollars which, when combined with the estimated $7 trillion committed before (see Bush-Cheney), it amounts to a total of about $8 trillion. Not a small amount by anyone???s measurement and especially when it is understood that a lot of the payback falls on the taxpayers??? shoulders. If it works, then probably few will complain. However, what I find hard to explain is all of the questioning and inferring of fault aimed at Obama???s efforts when they represent only a minor portion of the total, are the first sincere efforts really aimed at the average American and when what we have seen to date has had little oversight/control and has amounted to just handing money over to Special Interests and a select few. Once again there seems to be a scary inequity and then more real effort to sway public opinion and cover over questionable actions by our government. What we really need now is an honest bipartisan Herculean effort to turn things around and with real honest accountability and transparency for a change. From the looks of things, I don???t know if we can ever get that, if our politicians will ever allow that.

Rick Warren, like many other clergy, thinks that having limited note-worthy causes justifies dishonesty and the neglect of so much else. He really displayed his dishonesty when he stated that McCain was in the 'cone of silence' and actually he was listening to the questions asked Obama. Warren, like others, should fall on his face before God and beg for forgiveness after advocating from his pulpit that people support Bush-Cheney, which then made him supportive of all they did.

I dont dis agree with your ideas of what Obama needs to do, but the question is will he even come close to what he needs to do. Look at what he said about Nate Walsh "America doesnt have a place for Nate Walsh"

Have whatever relationship you desire, as far as legal is concerned the will of the people has spoken- since when did lifestyle require a law to protect it? Thats why i say , I will lobby for my lifestyle and it will then be legal and you can go be disgusted about that. Then after am done with that I will make a mockery of the court system to marry cows and horses and get tax deductions for them. thats a lifestyle as well.!

The more information and insight we -Science ( by the way I am a physicist) - discovers provides further solid evidence that we are not equal- the same-, but yet humans just want to pass laws that say we are all equal or is that we are passing laws to simply level the playing field and further confuse facts with fiction. The more science discovers, the more very different we all become from one another and the offered version of micro sociology will lead to a dead end. Politics, pastors and evangalists have but one purpose when they combine. To create an aire of confidence for the people to see, that they will submit to the laws and will of God, based upon swearing to Mankind with their hand on the Religious document of choice. Thats why they all get together, to put on a show for you to continue to believe that this is what they will do. Once again, more Snake oil for the masses. May God forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. This isnt about the general public, This is the introduction of a new patsy for the Bankers to further hose down the USA public coffers and continue to rape the world via Pozi schemes. "Same old stuff, different pile". Money never solved a money problem and more stimulas to the Bankers and Public market Business's doesnt change the public confidence that they will reap the benefits of any of this. No one can understand the mysteries of the Stock market or banking system and the more people open their eyes, is no guarantee that reality will be seen through the Rose colored glasses of a new politician either.
Mystery isnt a variable in this equation, dont be fooled, open your eyes and enjoy the show. Do not concern yourselves with the minusha of the relavance of this upcoming event, be very aware of the flamboyant autrocity that is about to be commited before your very eyes. Whomever these people are, not what they have presented themselves to be is what I want to know. "He that strangley desires to be in charge , is absolutely never the right person for the Job". What make this inauguration any different from the last? Nothing, "Same old stuff, Different Pile". I am simply dismissing the fiction of the writers point of view based upon facts without any substantiation. Right up there with cold fusion energy.
I want a warranty on the Bailout that says when it doesn't work we get our money back and they have to leave office for duping the Public and allowing the banks to control the country for their own benefit and greed! There are mysteries that presidents, pastors, & evengelists cannot now comprehend. That does not guarantee or even imply that humans will not comprehend those same mysteries once science provides more knowledge, more insight.

Warren also believes abused women cannot get a divorce, but they can leave. When the Bible was written people did not have credit cards and other loans that could become the liability of the abuses woman if the man defaulted. Even more important, a woman should not be put into a shameful category of not deserving to get a divorce because a man abused her.

boy does he have that mixed up.evangelism is 'the ' message.i cant say what prophetic responsibilities he had. i am not sure how much of his prophecy he was resonsible for.was he a prophet . i mean no disrespect to the dead but seriously what is prophetic responsibility?billy graham knows jesus and there is no such thing as prophetic responsibility in a relationship with christ. what could you possibly be doing that adds one ounce of weight to the work done by christ.

I can't speak for anyone else, but Darman completely missed the mark about what scares the hell out of me. You say we can rest easy because Rick Warren is not Obama's Billy Graham, in fact, you say he has little in common with Billy Graham -THAT is what I find frightening.

Has everyone forgotten the flap over Warren sending "voting packages" in 2000 to his various mega churches across the country and some credited him with playing a major roll in the conservative turnout in Ohio that year. You are right, that doesn't sound like Graham. It doesn't sound like a pastor either. It sounds like theocracy. What some call a religious revival other's see as a real threat to the American way of life: freedom of religion and freedom from someone else's religion.

Gay marriage is only one little thing -people like Warren have long, long list's and if he were allowed to have his way, he would play God and change everyone's life to suit his own narrow vision. A single case in point is two women who marry in California. Their marriage doesn't affect Rick Warren or his beliefs in any way, just as a jewish man wearing a yarmulke shouldn't affect Rick Warren or his beliefs. However, when Rick Warren campaigns against the rights of those women and compares them to child molesters and incest, he is affecting their lives and the lives of their decendents for generations.

When we see his "prophetic responsibility" as carte blanche to discriminate, then we allow him to erodes all freedom and hope in order to gain converts and accolades under his self-gratifying system of beliefs. That frightens me, but few others because I am the minority he threatens. Give him a chance and he will threaten your way of life as well.
