    The Palestinians do not want peace, they only want a one state solution, theirs. If they put down their arms there would be peace. If Israel put down their arms there would be no Israel.
    Why dont Journalists report that even moderate Palestinians talk war privately to their people whilw talking peace to the world.
    There never was a palestinian state. There has always been Jews in Israel and it is the ancient Jewish homeland.

    Gaza belongs to Israel. But the terrorists from Gaza do not want peace. Therefore they need to look for another place to live, and let the people live in peace in that small country, that also belongs to God. Be sure that God will never let Israel alone.

    There will never be an end to war as long as there are human beings on the earth. People fight about anything and everything. Read some of the comments and that will tell you how narrow minded we are...just because they do not live the way we do does not mean they are wrong. They were there long before Israel. The only way the fighting will end is if one of them moves. I know one thing...we need to stay out of it...we are not the policemen of thw world. We need to start spending our own money here. To tell you the truth...I really don't care anymore...they are both ignorant if they think either of them can win.

        Just curious - When did the US ever fight "for Israel"? EVER??? I'm talking about active war, about sending americans to fight our wars? You fought for Europe, Vietnam, Korea, all the Gulf countries and their oil, Saudi arabia and it's oil and inspite the fact the 9/11 was mostly commited by Saudis, you still have bases there defending them). When did ONE american soldier fight our wars?

    A key ingredient to any lasting peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians is economic security for the Palestinian people. Only when they have hope for the future for themselves and succeeding generations will anything begin to change. People who are gainfully employed and have some degree of prosperity are less interested in anarchy and violence and more interested in maintaining the status quo..

Iseral military offences in Gaza should be condemned by all free people of this world.     First, Zionism and Judaism are not the same thing.....Zionism was a movment that no longer exists. In fact, it ran counter to Judaism as zionists wanted a secular state devoid of religion....Second, in response to some of these posts.....do you really believe that the Jews WANT to be chosen for all of the hatred and anti-semitism that it has received......I do not know many Jews who would claim to be the chosen people, but for such a small minority of the global population, they sure do get a lot of attention.....perhpas we have made them the chosen people by focussin on them so intently......,last of all, if the rich zionists really did run the world, it would be a better and safer place for all......Just look at how a population treats its women and citizens who do not agree with them, (Ie how the Palestinians have killed more of their own such as fatah supporters and women then any israelis have killed), and you will see thier true values. Thank G-d Israel continues to uphold democratic ideals in the middle east...why don'twe just give the Palestinians their own homeland in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country.....better yet, how about Mecca?

    I saw someone wrote 'Jewish Rabbi's' - are there any other kind. Others are writing in all caps so their words get seen. I think we should pray for peace and also open our eyes to the persistent terrorist acts that have been waged on Israel - they were'nt bombing Gaza - Gaza was bombing them. If your neighbor was throwing crap at you from his yard how long before you go over there and straighten him out...? You folks all need to set-aside your political agendas and become righteous citizens of God - you all should be ashamed of yourself. It's sad that Hamas sets rocket launchers next to hospitals or on there roofs and then states - see, they bombed a hospital - what would you do...? I suggest go get a life and falling short of that, a little humanity!

Palestinians are nomads who were rejected by their own people. Arab countries wish to exploit the plight of the Palestinians and blame everything on the Israelis in order to broker more support for their violent, terrorist acts. It's sad that the media continues to fall for this and fan the flames around the world. Hamas is to blame here. Israel and the people of Gaza would be able to live in peace if terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah would get out of the way, but as we have seen with other terrorists, this will never happen as they refuse to value any life, even their own. They will continue to kill each other and others they view as "the enemy." Israel honored the peace treaty and stood in restraint, lol hes talikng about having the stove ready for the Jews. Is that way is being griled now in Gaza, lol lol lol man I hope he does him self a favor and just log off, maybe he'll just Detonate one of his home made explosive bomb and blow his ass up lol...

    Just like everyone else in the world, all of these people are doing what has always been done. Too afraid of change to open their eyes to the truth. It seems that some "people" don't want to evolve with the rest of us and would prefer to live in archaic conditions, with beliefs that aren't compatible with the modern world. Four simple letters could transform the whole area; W-O-R-K. Get these men out of their caves and give them something better to do than shoot AK-47's. Idle hands are the devils' workshops. Give them hope of re-building themselves into a comfortable life where young men live into their thirties. There really is no regard for a human life in the minds of some of these people.     Having accomplished nothing by tring to assign blame to the situation, let us now accomplish nothing by laughing through our tears at the inherent stupidity of the whole situation, and taking the discussion to a new level.

    Israel and Palestine are economically dependent on one another.

    Israel needs the labor force, Palestine needs the jobs.

    Palestine needs the consumer goods, Israel needs more customers.

    Palestine needs a world class banking system to manage the flow of capital (if they ever hope to rebuild their society), Israel needs a new market in which to invest capital (and secure a return, of course).

    Both sides know this, but to admit it would be to "lose face" among your people...

    ....so they fight.

    And you wonder why I don't take sides?

    You can't blame the Israelis for wanting to crush Hamas once and for all if that is indeed possible. But the larger picture is a need for the israelis to allow an integration of Gazans into its economy. Israel is partially to blame for the Hamas attacks because of its decision to box the Gazans in.

    However, there is enough blame to go all around. There are simply too many people in the Gaza strip. The Arab nations need to allow Gazans to emigrate from Gaza to Arab lands. Further, the time is way past due for the end of all Palestinian refugee camps. The people in these camps need to be integrated into their host countries.

        In the other apartheid state, South Africa, blacks were allowed to work in the demarcated white area without much problem. The political types are a minority. Most oppressed people are more concerned with feeding their families. Economic integration as part of a viable two state solution is the answer for the apartheid state Israel.

          Yes, provided they had the appropriate pass....

          ...and they were the right ethnic group (Xhosa were pretty much S.O.L)

          ...and just enough education to complete whatever menial job they were given (can't have an smart uppety Kaffirs)

          ...and none of their family or friends was a suspected "militant"

          ...and no random crimes occurred while they were in the viciinity because....guess who got picked up first?


          DON'T EVEN bring South Africa's apartheid into the picture unless you're willing to talk about the beatings, the torture (genital mutilation was not an exclusively African practice you know), the rapings, the killings (yes, women and children too), the imprisonments without charge or trial, and all the other indignities that came with it.

            And now with majority rule the country is overrun with crime! The ex-wife of the last white Prime Minister was raped and murdered. No whites are really safe there. Before apartheid ended, the pass laws were scrapped. Millions of blacks worked in the white demarcated area without much incident under white rule with or without the pass laws. Palestinians have worked in Israel in the past as well without much incident.

            I'm simply noting the similarity between apartheid South Africa and Israel. In many ways the apartehid system was milder than the Zionist system. Palestinans have an axe to grind with Israel but they are not wanton criminals like the blacks of South Africa. The Jews have a right to their own state and so do the Palestians as well as the whites of South Africa for that matter. Majority rule was not an answer for South Africa and it will not be an answer for Israel either.

            A two state system with a fair distribution of the land is the answer. Israel has already expropriated about 2/3 of the West Bank. They need to surrender some land for peace. The whites in South Africa were greedy about the land as well and it led to their un-doing. They reserved 87% of the land for themselves. The real answer for South Africa after apartheid was to split up the country under an equitable land distribution. The whites should have got about 32% of the land since they were 16% of the population.

                You need to give more land to the people with brains so they can develop it and let the others in to work there.

                Just like when Zimbabwe was Rhodesia and the white farmers fed all the blacks and had plenty of food for export!

              I know my history fairly well, better than most people. Native Americans had no notion of private property, so how were they deprived of their property rights in the first place? The land was fought over and the Indians lost after unspeakable atrocities against white people. But today's politically correct history books leave those things out. I mean was it really necessary to cut a person's scalp off (including women & children) while they were alive? What savages the indigenous persons were!
