A Plan of Attack For Peace

There has never been a Palestine. Palestinians are nomads who were rejected by their own people. Arab countries wish to exploit the plight of the Palestinians and blame everything on the Israelis in order to broker more support for their violent, terrorist acts. It's sad that the media continues to fall for this and fan the flames around the world. Hamas is to blame here. Israel and the people of Gaza would be able to live in peace if terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah would get out of the way, but as we have seen with other terrorists, this will never happen as they refuse to value any life, even their own. They will continue to kill each other and others they view as "the enemy." Israel honored the peace treaty and stood in restraint as they suffered through endless days of missiles landing in their territory by Hamas. Hamas refuses openly to stop firing rockets into Israel and refuses to recognize Israel as a state. They have declared war on Israel and want to destroy all of its people. Why should Israel have to stand by and allow rockets to land at their feet everyday? It is ridiculous to expect them to do so. If a border country attacked the U.K. or the U.S. everyday with missile fire, do you honestly believe either country would stand by and do nothing? Hamas IS in fact using their own people as human shields - they are cowards who fire rockets into Israel while hiding amongst innocent people who in the end are the ones hurt in all this mess. Israel gave up Gaza in an attempt to broker peace, but Hamas saw it as a way to get closer to the Israeli border so their rockets would fly farther into the country and harm more people. Israel simply wants Hamas to stop firing missiles into their country - I hardly think that is an unreasonable request. With no end in sight and no help from other allies, Israel took the action they needed to take to protect themselves. It's sad that innocent people are dying, but see this war for what it is - a terrorist organization using and exploiting its people to garner sympathy from the world while continuing to fire rockets and missiles into Israel - once they stop, Israel will stop. There is nothing wrong with Israel defending itself.

If what you say is true then did the Nazi's have any right to treat Jews in a the same ways. What about the assyrians - the hittites did they not live in the land before Moses and Joshua

If you keep one thing in mind, it should be this: if there were no rockets shot into Israel, no arms buildup of military equipment, smuggled under several hundred tunnels that have been carefully constructed , then there would be nothing, absolutely nothing, not a gun, not a tank, not an airplane, not a paper airplane, from Israel going into Gaza.
It is a simple choice. It is the most understandable and basic request: stop sending rockets, stop spending all of your energies making war or preparing for war. Leave Israel alone. That's all. Just leave Israel alone. That is what any country -- even besieged and thrown-to-the-Muslim-wolves Israel -- has a right, and a duty, to demand.

the palestenians had no choice but to fight back after 16 years of talking, israel doesnot want to give back what they stole after israel kiled and kiched out the palestinains from homes ,farms ,land and towns.

Recognize the suffering of the Palestinians and COMPENSATE! The only way to tranquilize people is to recognize their suffering and to compensate them!. Try it, and see the change. Jews have been victims so they can understand the process. Listen to the young and not to old men on both sides.

Klaidman says some Israeli leaders suggest Palestinians want to destroy Israel? The Hamas leaders say that themselves, as did Arafat. There is no country in the world that tolerates missiles being fired into it every day. What would the US do if Mexico tried that? You think the Mexican border regions would still exist after one day of such attacks? Israel has every right to stop these terrorists from attacking it every day. The Hamas cowards shoot from urban areas because they know Israel is concerned with harming Palestinian civiilians. That's why they are sending in soldiers, risking their lives, rather than simply carpet bombing the area as the US did in Vietnam and as we would do to Mexico if they attacked us in the same way. Israel is being over-solicitous of the Palestinian population.

Next, if Palestinians got a raw deal, it was from their own Arab brothers. 77% of Palestine is an Arab state called Jordan. Israel has only 13% or so of Palestine and the rest is Gaza, West Bank and Jordan. More Jews were expelled from Arab states and more property of theirs confiscated then Arabs lost property when they ran from the 1948 war. Whereas the Jews in Israel took in their expelled brethren, the Arab states kept the Palestinians stateless and as political pawns. When they did take them in as King Hussein did, the PLO fought against the state. Thus, if we talk about justice, look at the treatment by their own brethren. If you talk about compensation, realize that the Jews deserve more of it. Finally, if you want to talk about racism, Arab citizens in Israel have more rights than almost any Arab state. Many Arab states exclude Jews even from visiting, let alone living there. Israel is the only country in the history of the world to mount campaigns to save black people from danger and bring them to live there in peace (Ethiopians). Know the facts please.

Everyone has failed to mention that what Israel is doing to the Palestinian people is absolutely against International Law. Israel is not accountable for human rights obligations. Since no one is even questioning this, apparently, Israel is above the law.
???The recent violence has reportedly cost more than 400 lives and left over 2,000 wounded?????? Klaidman, you forgot to mention that these lives affected are Palestinian lives, but what???s in a minor detail anyway?
