This is such BS. The reason Hamas and Israel are still going at it is because, even with the ceasefire and despite international law, Israel keeps taking more of the West Bank and Jerusalem. Israel does not want a peace that doesn't include huge swaths of Palestinian land, and this is why they keep torpedoing cease fires set up by our country.

The Palestinians will be cut off from most sources of water and farmable land, land that has been in their families for centuries. Then Israel instigates another attack to justify the "Palestinian terrorist solution". Our media falls in line for it every single time and the view that is represented to us makes it seem like it's just a bunch of terrorists acting out against poor victimized Israel.

Both sides are wrong, both sides need to get their butts kicked. Our media needs to stop being so biased; our government needs to stop vetoing UN resolutions against Israel, since we're the only country that takes their sides. Everyone else seems to get it right except for us, probably because of the PR campaign I mentioned earlier.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!! Israel is NOT acting like our friend, and we need to make them conform to international law like everyone else if we want a fair and final end to this abortion of a conflict.

Isreal retaiates with excessive civilian casualties. Many believe the excess is deliberate; a response to Hammas' support among the Gaza population.
What's to come?
An invasion by Isreal. More civilian deaths.
Then Isreal withdraws. But, not before leaving tons of unexploded cluster bombs the last 3 days of their occupation, like they did in Lebanon.
Then Hamas takes back the streets, passes out money for reconstruction, and declares victory.
Moderate Moslem leaders in nearby countries are deposed.
Other moslem leaders rally behind Hamas.
Possibly a brief cease fire.
Then more rockets.
Then more division, distrust, despair, and rage.

There is no clear solution for the Palestinian cause, Israel will not tolerate a full-fledged Palestinian state and Arabs, I mean, the people of Arab countries, along with Palestinians would not open a new page with Israeli. Taking into accounts a 4 million Palestians refugees living in a stateless condition will never put an end to the bitter conflct. For Palestinians it is either a remarkable military victoty or the beginning of the 3rd Intifada. Neither serves the interests of the zionist camp.

They are the ones who welcomed the israelis who were being wiped by hitler. Now israel has displaced the owners of the land to refugee camps. It is ironic that the victims of first holocaust are involved in creating one for palestinian muslims. I do agree that a "two state solution " is the only viable end to the conflict. But when creating a solution world should never forget that palestinians are the actual owners of the land.

Israel has made a great concession: the Gaza withdrawal from a few years back. The Palestinians, rather than acknowledging the gesture, treated it as a military victory and continued attacking Israel.

The current tactics of Hamas are akin to one of Mao's tactics: continuously attack your enemies and rely on the international community to restrain the enemy. Then, when the military advantage is finally gained, crush the enemy despite all protests of the international community.

If this solution is followed, the Palestinians would likely take their gains in land, and use their strengthened position to attack Israel even more. Any peace solution has to begin with the disbanding of Hamas.
