Does anyone remember last year when Hamas & Fatah were fighting, did the Arab World told them to STOP? NO! Hamas keeps sending suicide maniacs. The WOMEN in the Arab World don't have a voice but if they asked them to be a suicide bomber ALL MEN ARE PROUD of this poor WOMEN. That's a shame only on DEATH the women are worth something.

Buy the way in the country of Iran Christians the Devil and Jews are Evil. Whom give them the right to condemn us? No wonder an ex-muslim stated that the Koran is the ....... verses.

The only peace and freedom for Israel is to destroy Hamas then go after Hezbollah..

    • Posted By: sanctuaryvb @ 01/06/2009 5:17:47 PM

Both Hezbullah and Hamas were created in response to Israeli occupations. These organizations cannot be 'defeated' as they are movements. The reall issue is the occupation that spawned them, therefore your premise is incorrect.

We are there Papa we are the one killing Iraqis and Afganies kids along with your lovers in Israel. Israel become a burden on us here in the US and IN Europe and this is clear with the rallies and demonstrations that led by European leaders in every major city Jews must accept the two states solution its best for all.

It seems to me that the best solution is to kill every single hamas militant and take no prisoners so that they can reemerge at some later date. Then Let Abass govern the Gaza Strip. That should eliminate the Rockets for a longtime if not for ever. Once all the militants are killed, then it should be Israel's responsibility to help rebuild the Gaza Strip, after all, they are the ones that are destroying it. The Arabs know it but they won't admit that Hamas started it in the first place.

Slam Dunk...I couldn't have said it any better! Like ole Saddam- They (Hammas) are brave talkers but cowards when the fighting starts.

    californialover...
With respect to your Holocaust numbers, where do you get such wrong information? Hitler decimated every part of Europe he could get his grubby hands on and it didn't happen overnight. PLEASE READ BOOKS! Six million killed is surely a high number and seems incomprehensible, but let me run some numbers by you... The Russians lost 25 million during WWII, the Rwandan genocide claimed 800,000 souls in just 3 months, and the civil war in Congo that doesn't seem to end has already taken 4 million people. These mass slaughters happened in a SHORTER amount of time than the genocide which took European Jews to the brink of extinction.
This brings me to another point... While numbers are easily compared, killing 500 people or 5000 people or 6 million people is all wrong and there should never be comparisons of who has had it worst. There is simply no defense of murder in any sense, unless your being and family are being threatened. In case anybody missed my earlier points, Israel and Gaza militants are BOTH wrong, and BOTH have blood on their hands. BOTH are to blame for the bloodshed. Hamas militants hide among civilians and IDF shoots and bombs them wherever they are- both cowardly acts which kill more civilians than necessary.

I wish Obama would be able to change this, however, I seriously doubt that he could. The rationale behind my statement is this: Even before Obama's oath taking, he is already committed to sending 2 Brigades of soldiers in Afghanistan. That alone by itself tells me that there would not be change in as far as fighting global terrorism.

If Mr. Obama can outwit one of biggest elections on earth in landslide, more likely can outwit terrorists with helps. Mr. Obama seems like an open-minded person.

we love the jews so much as long as they are not running our western states. keep them in Israel. because if they go back to Europe God only knows what the German will do again to them. NO BODY WANT THE JEWS IN THERE BACKYARD ITS A FACT.
God Help the Palestinians from the Criminals

ChicoCDM is right. It will be amusing to watch Obama promise everything to both sides in this issue. He is so wishy washy, promising all things to all people all the time.

  • Posted By: luckylarry @ 01/06/2009 5:09:01 PM

It is proven fact that they cannot be outwitted, They will merely change the rules of any or all agreements. I am sincerely afraid that it will take a nuclear attack or exchange to even start to have an impact of peace in this region. Iran will be the stupid player and will attack Israel first, and dare us to nuke them in return. It will be at this time, that Mr. Obamas gonads will be up for public inspection and measurement.

Last time I checked Israel wasn???t the ones lobbing bombs over the fence or sending suicide maniacs into a group of innocent people. Stop looking at the Palestinians as "victims" because they aren???t. They had and still have every opportunity to establish their own country but cant see the forest through the trees because they are so filled with mind numbing hate and propaganda that they learn coming out of the womb. Some of you idiots need to crack a book and see how many olive branches Israel has given the Palestinians.. Only to get their hand taken off. Palestinians are in the situation they are in because they made it that way and no other reason.. Heck, the children dying are a direct result of the Palestinians not moving away from a neighborhood when they were told it was going to be bombed or from dumb azz hamas shooters firing at them from areas where children are present because they use them as shields (yes, big bad tough hamas using women and children as shields) .. They have brought this upon themselves because they are so f**king stupid that all they see is hatred. Poor poor little Palestinians, let no one harm them, let them fire their rockets and kill other innocents because we all feel sorry for them that they are the wet headed step children of the middle east.. BS.. When they start calling off the suicide bombers, the rockets and the terrorist groups I will start supporting them for a peaceful end to their difficult situation.. Until then bomb away. You sew what you reap.. nuff said!

To Hell with Hamas and the "Palestinians". They want war and violence, and so they get it.

  • Posted By: ChicoCDM @ 01/06/2009 5:00:55 PM

These people are SUB-HUMAN! They are incapable of governing themselves efefectively and seek NO PEACE!! If the Isrealis were to leave - the sad truth is that their situation will require even MORE aide and support from the Western World. In the end whatever is done these people only understand the briliance of brutality. Look at how their countries are run. THEY ONLY UNDERSTAND BRUTALITY and I think the Isrealis, unfortunately, cannot be brutal enough. Obama is and will be irrelevent as he is also incapable of handling these situation which require you to take a stand on SOMETHING! ANYTHING! Obama cannot.

President Bush's quest for democratic elections in middle eastern countries is one in which he wanted the people of these countries to have a "free" choice in which type of government they want. If they choose of their own free will to be ruled by terrorist regimes then that is their choice and we can deal with them like any other terrorist country. Terrorism against the US or our allies will be dealt with appropriately. Just because we advocate for democratic govnerments that have similar views about individual freedoms and hopefully would be allies doesn't mean we'll get our wish but at least people get a choice.

the writer seems to suggest that democracy is a success only when it creates governments that the US agrees with. but the US showed its deep understanding of democracy when in 2006 the newly minted Irag government disagreed with the US and supported Hizbullah's Lebanon actions, and the US "let them" disagree (i.e., we did not use our army to overthrow a government that disagreed with us). if we had been conquerors or people that believe that democracy must create agreement, that is what we would have done. but we are not conquerors, and we know that democracy does not create governments that agree with each other, it creates governments that reflect their own people. this is the democratic act that can undo the underlying "f___ you and everyone" attitude of the occupied and the oppressed.
and it also creates governments that disagree with each other. governments, like Hamas in Gaza, that have to deal with the consequences of their actions. such as launching missiles into Israel, or sending tanks into Gaza. being democratically elected does not sanction every nation's action with every other nation.
regarding the other democractic topic, right now Iraq is the only place in the Islamic world where the brutally divided Shiite and Sunnis are having to work with each other, rather than using government as a way to suppress the other. this too is the natural offshoot of very act of democracy, and it strikes at the very heart of radical Islam, whose real issue is not with West or Isreal, but with Islam's preoccupation with absolute agreement within Islam. a total agreement that does not exist, which democracies know all too well do not exist within any group of people, and which democracies end up learning how to live within because democracy has disagreement as an natural and unavoidable part of its experience.
the very act of democracy is what gives it its value, not whether the governments its creates agree with other democracies or the writer.

I would certainly hope that Obama won't result to ultimatums. That would just be a continuation of failed foreign policy by the US, UK, and Israel. It???s about time the US got around to the side of the Palestinians and appreciated the misery the west has inflicted upon them, starting in 1948.

Boycott israel is the only way to stop this genocid every days

    • Posted By: sanctuaryvb @ 01/06/2009 4:51:55 PM

Boycotting Israel would accomplishing nothing. The way to affect any change is to contact your representatives in government demanding that America have a policy that is fair and unbiased and takes into account the needs, dreams and aspirations of both sides. The argumet should be what American policy should be, and what is in our national interests, not what is in Israels. Clearly our national interest is in a two state solution.
