I not so sure that you can magnify force - force is force. I have several Palestinian friends and what boggle my mind is as much as I feel that Israel has commited many crimes against the Palestinians I think that the Palestinians have been used a pawns by Fatah and Hamas. There is no and can be no military solution. I believe what most Palestinians as many men and women want is simple. To live in dignity and be able to provide for their children. Unfortunately Hamas will not allow this. Israel does have a right to exist.

Moussa Abou Marzouk, deputy head of Hamas political bureau, told reporters in Damascus that there will be no talks about a permanent cease-fire and that as long as there is an Israeli occupation, there will be "resistance.

The irony of this statement is he is in a posh flat in Damascus not in the bombed out territory of Gaza. And even more unfortunate is that the children always suffer in the wake of the stupidity of adults.

After almost two weeks in fighting. horrible scenes come out to light, like victims innocent civilians or supporters of Hamas. If Israel has no sophisticated rocket alarms to alert the Israeli civilians, then damaged could be great. THanks for the alerts. But did the international community, bark against Hamas to stop firing? Maybe not. Israel is fed up, so, may I say come on Israel you stated the cleansing, then go ahead. But try to locate the Hamas leaders as well. Maybe in hiding sipping cups of tea, waiting any sympathy from the outside world, waiting for numerous donations, to rearm again./ And No 2 Al Zawahiri is tryin to get center image tryin to call jihadist or muhajideens to act. But dont forget to include your promise for the volunteers that there are virgins waiting in paradise/. But with the world recession going am sure the availablity of virgins in paradise is now within reasonable dopubt. Isuggest you volunteers for a call to jihadi to focus your attention in your community a more productive and positive, maybe a virgin will not cause your life.

Are not those same funds which were paid to Isreal on behalf of the Palistiens, not an elected leader, due to he was Hammas..was this not the exact same money Olmert was busted,tried,convicted and found guilty of STEALING, a day before he went into Gaza??? Well now you know where the funds go, when those who control the roadblocks and blockaids ie:Isreal get it all. They could have paid for tons of equip, but Isreal says it's not allowed into Gaza. How stupid can Bush and the Israelis be to think that President "Elect" Obama is a power hungry Black man. This man was top of his class at Harvard. To rage war with the expectation that Barack would engage himself in a verbal confrontation with both Bush and Israel is absured. As bush discredit Gen Powell with his WMD scheme and has Secretary of State Rice figgetting, his plot with Israel against Mr Obama has back fired.
Fustrated by the "One President at a time slam dunk, He the President now refuses to vacate the White House by covertly saying, "This one president at a time" will leave on 20 January. Mean while he fiddles as both Gaza and Israel burn.

To the Voices from Gaza.

Demand accountability of your leaders instead of letting yourself being used as a shield for their obsession with power. The US and the EU paid huge sums to your leaders for Nation Building. All the world can see is home made rockets fired at your neighbours. You are whiners who are being abused by your leaders. Your leaders are taking you for a ride and you let it happen.

Since the beginning of this conflict I always said that Israel is playing politics with the new administration. Therefore that conflict will extend until after the inauguration day, when Mr. Obama takes office. Mr. Obama abstaining from making any comments on the Gaza conflict weaken his position at least in that part of the world even before he takes office, while he is very outspoken on the economy, and the stimulus package. So I don't know what is "one president at a time" fit in in the equation. As for that Gaza conflict, Israel has to be either stupid or evil or both. Time will prove that they both, and History will remember them as such.

WHAT ISRAEL IS DOING TO THE PALESTINIANS IS NO LONGER WAR, BUT MURDER!

Peace is only acheived when the will exists to create peace. Start acting like the jewish community of the world EXPECTS you to act. With the same humanity and compassion that was never shown to us. I am an American Jew about to visit Israel in one weeks' time. For me I certainly want to be on the side of the Israelis. I consider them distant kin, and my loyalty to israel (even though ive never been there) is second ONLY to my loyalty to America. But in this situation I find it difficult to support what the Israeli government is doing. Aren't we as jews supossed to be righteous in our morals, meaning we do not inflict unecessary violence even if such violence is visited upon us? I thought thats what made us special as Jews. People persecute us, ridicule us, even try to eliminate us from the planet, but in the past we've always countered that by surviving and excelling despite the hatred of others. When the Babylonians, the Romans, and later the Muslims came, we always survived, and even prospered. Why now that we have a nation state with some power do we feel the need to unjustly use that power in the same way others have used it against us in the past? I certainly agree with "notsoquietmajority" when he says we as Americans wouldn't tolerate someone firing rockets into our backyard, because you're aboslutely right we wouldn't. I would however, like to believe that we wouldn't launch an offensive that indiscriminently kills women, children, and civilians. Hell if America did that, we would've won in Vietnam, and we'd be an imperial dictatorship in Iraq, with much less cost,and lower american casualties. The reason we're still in Iraq is we REFUSE to ignore the potential for civilan casualties. that is NOT to say that in war mistakes aren't made, or that American's have never killed civilians, because that's not true. The difference is we continually TRY to avoid civilian casualties AT ALL COST, EVEN at the cost of American blood. I simply cannot condone Israel carpet bombing near schools, or civilian centers REGARDLESS of the enemies tactics. Thats EXACTLY WHY we could be better than them, is because WE wouldn't sacrifice innocents in order to acheive a political or military objective. That is what TERRORISTS do. That is EXACTLY WHAT seperates them from us! If we lower ourselves to the same means as the enemy, than HOW ARE WE BETTER THAN THEM? MOST people simply want to live their lives in peace. Not to say that there aren't extremists out there of ALL TYPES bent on destruction or uncaring about collateral damage in the pursuit of their goal, but MOST people INCLUDING palestinians and muslims are NOT bad people. Israel needs to revise its strategy and start treating the people that DESERVE peace and life with the respect they deserve, and then maybe the entire world wont condemn israel, but as they have in the past support them.

B.O. was quick enough to condemn the bombings in Mumbai or comment about the economic situation in the US and elsewhere despite Bush still being in office (the excuse given for not commenting on the Middle East Crisis) but today a UN School was bombed by Israeli jets killing 40+ children and this is TOTALLY unacceptable!! UN facilities are clearly marked on Israeli intelligence maps, that is a FACT and it is utterly shameful that they are premitted by the tacit agreement of the USA, to continue their disproportionate campaign against Hamas and the people of Gaza.

I have no liking for Hamas in fact I hate the organisation and think they are mostly responsible for the outbreak of hostilities BUT Israel is acting out of all proportion to the risks on the ground to Israeli civilians from small rockets.

B.O. is meant to represent change from the Bush administration... Where is the change is saying nothing and allowing this nightmare for the Gaza population continuing!!

If you sympathize with the Hamas supporting Palestinians, you may want to reconsider. Fathi Hamad, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and Hamas representative stated on Al-Aqsa (Hamas) TV on February 29, 2008 that he takes pride in the fact that women and children are used as human shield in fighting Israel. He describes it as part of the "Death Industry" at which they excel, and explains that the Palestinians "desire death" the same way Israelis "desire life".
