Long before "Rock of Love 3" graced the airwaves, the Golden Globe Awards proved that television cameras and free-flowing champagne could be a very fertile union. Despite the occasional downturn in viewership—the 2008 awards, reduced to a snooze-worthy press conference because of a writers' strike, garnered a paltry 5.8 million viewers—the ceremony has regularly drawn as many as 20 million viewers. Partly that's because of the off-the-rails moments and sartorial missteps that inevitably occur. Here's our list of the most embarrassing episodes from ceremonies past.
