Brutus, I'm not sure what irresponsible behavior your referring to. If you read the article, it stated how the girls are basically preyed upon by the dealers because the dealers are in with the police and policitos! They are chosen much like a rape victim, if they say they are not interested, they are killed. How is that their fault ?

One more thing....it seems like everyone points to the government asking why they don't fix this or that. It's pretty obvious that our government can't fix much of anything. This article relates to a particular problem that we have brought upon ourselves and only we the people can fix. Nobody from any government agency has arrested me for not using drugs.

"Nobody from any government agency has arrested me for not using drugs."

That doesn't mean that you are not guilty of supporting the violence that is associated with the drug war that you support.

Simple, indeed Jack! That should work as well as telling teenagers simply don't have sex, and you won't get pregnant. Or reminding people that condoms cant prevent HIV infection. Simple!

It seems Mexican women are just as irresponsible as all the rest of Western women. There's no excuse for this behavior. There were undoubtedly many nice suitors for her,yet the tramp chose drug dealers. She needs to pay the price.

Have you heard the saying "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone"? And what of those poor women who refused and wound up dead? Oh wait, you probably think they went straight to Heaven as a reward for their chastity.

We've all made poor choices. We've all been held accountable for those poor choices, except for the American and mexican governments!!! - I thought for sure that after the 9-11 event that our borders would be seald tight, and "drug lords" would melt away.....just what happened here? Something to ponder~

"I thought for sure that after the 9-11 event that our borders would be seald tight, and "drug lords" would melt away.....just what happened here?"

The same thing that has been happening for the last 40 years. The government has spent billions trying to stop drug trafficking and it has only gotten worse. Time for a new solution:

      Legalization and treatment...

TBinSD We all know our government has its share of problems. But when it comes to the drug trade, I don't think the government has nearly as much to be ashamed of as the people who support the cartels with their dollars. Stop buying and using drugs and you shut these people down. Simple.

"Stop buying and using drugs and you shut these people down. Simple. "

There is a disease called addiction that makes this solution impossible.

To all the jerks out there who buy and use illegal drugs, no matter how much or little, THANKS A LOT! In case you didn't know it, you are supporting and enabling much of the violence in our world today.

If you would only allow a crazy person to take over and shoot the drug dealers and users when they are caught will it end. It is simply human nature to attempt to cover up and run away from negative emotions.... There is little that can be done to stop the traffic of drugs or their use, short of killing off both ends publically.

      • Posted By: jack8472 @ 01/07/2009 5:44:23 PM

Yyyyeaah, or you could opt for the much less violent and less expensive option. Legalization and treatment...

Take the illegal part away and you will find the organized crime will go away. The majority of the violence will go away also.

Such a simple solution. But then, what a gastly immoral choice you have made to allow people to destroy their bodies with drugs. It is clearly morally correct to continue with the drug war and it's violence...

"and federal lawmakers have called for an investigation into drug trafficking links to the nation's beauty pageants."

That's hilarious. Mexicans conducting an "investigation". This should be precious...
