A Bumpy Start

Nancy Pelosi the puppet master is pulling Obama's strings. Just like Feinstein, he will pay if he does not dance for them. Hell knows no fury, like a scorned women. GWB scorned Pelosi, and you saw the scorched earth agenda she rained on him. Obama has no chance, until she is removed from politics. Yes the infighting amongst the Democrats has just begun, unfortunately it could not happen at a worse time. We will all pay the price. There just is not much pie left, so they will fight tooth and nail for the bigger slice, and when its all gone, they will blame it on GWB, How convenient is that?

By the way, to all those who read my comments. I didn't vote for Obama, but I am fair and believe that he should be given a fair chance. He not the blamed for our messed up economy. I'll give him a year before I even hint at commenting on the job he's done. I think this is fair not only for him, but for anyone who takes on the tough job of running the country.

I am so sick of anytime a non black doesnt agree with a black, they get stuck with the RACIST LABEL....yet any black can call anyone else anything they want...anytime they want and get away with it all becaause of something that happen 150 yrs ago....wake up.....besides obama is half white and the other half is more arab than black

This is "Change we can Believe in"......Same old Washington politics. BTW.....we vote for change every 4 years so this is nothing new. I am glad I did not waste my time voting for gridlock.

It is unfortunate that Obama won his campaign by exploited ignorance and by buying votes..

We have a CARD we can play right now and it is called Unity. The guys we are worried about 'Over There', who want to spiral the western world out of control, do not discrimate between you and me. In their view, we are both targets.
They too, are viewing the world through hate eyeglasses.

I am confident that all of us here, can be on the same side and work out the details.
If we don't, and fight and divide between us on the silly stuff, we are a nice big calling card in red ink.

What I propose is that each of us on this forum write or call our senators and congressman and tell them that the American people are expecting them to work with the President and cross party lines now more than ever to make this nation the best it can be. Also tell them that you will be watching them closely, and if they whine, or stall or become a hurdle, we can always remove that hurdle in November.

Most of the posters thus far come off like complete idiots...the man hasn't even been inaugurated yet - his term hasn't even STARTED yet, and all these wingnuts are blubbering about the "failure" of his presidency! Amazing. They don't recognize the utter, complete, disasterous failure of the conservative presidency of the last 8 years, WHICH HAS ALREADY HAPPENED, but seem to have a keen eye in seeing the failure of something that hasn't even yet begun. Yes, Obama said we need hope and change, but he NEVER said it was going to be easy to fix the mess made by Dubya & Co. Here's an idea...why don't you naysayers shut up and give the guy a chance before you make your completely uninformed, dogma-bound judgements? If you can't be positive and forward thinking, then just be quiet, and let the rest of us get down to the hard work it will take to try to repair at least some of the damage done by those of your ilk.

I always visit Republican blogs, and read their postings. They are obsessed with this man's name. It is almost pathological. Using someone's name as a smear and an insult reminds me of grade school behavior. Repubs respond by saying there is nothing wrong with saying a person's name. Well but when you repeat it over and over again with in intent to insult, it makes the person look bad that repeating it. Guys, this is WHY you are in the minority. Wise up, or stay there!

Why isn't anyone inquiring in why Bush put the country in such condition? Could it be to make the American people forget about "War Crimes" he and his administration commited? Lower enlisted were tried and convicted but what about the officals that gave the orders and set the standards?

I am a white, 30 year old woman. I will have to admit, when Mr Obama was running for president, i never would have voted for him. Not because he is black but because I thought that someone older than him would do a better job. One day I woke and realized that he could be our future leaders. So, I read everything I could about him, researched everything I could, and listen to everything he said. In the end, who do you think I voted for? President Obama. I think that we, as a nation need to give him a little bit of support and stop doubting him. He hasn't even gone through inauguration yet!

He is taking on more than any other president has had to since I have been alive. From things like our ecomnomy to the shady stuff up on The Hill. This is going to be hard for him. He not only has to be president, but he has to worry about cleaning up our nation from the crap that our Pres Bush has put us all through.

For any doubters, give him a chance and support him. For those of us that do support him now, don't ever stop. He hasn't show me any reason to turn my back. As Obama says, we need change. I would like to think that he is the man to do it!
