Man, is "Harleyis" crabby!!!
Way to be, saddlebags!!!!!
The inaugural may be glorious, but the pregame is a bit rough.
Man, is "Harleyis" crabby!!!

???Obama stands behind Geithner???
It's unbelievable how bad the Financial industry is, both private and public. Full of people with questionable acts, backgrounds and ethics. Obama cannot be soft since he was the one espousing the tough talks and lack of regulations and ethics by Bush. Obama and his administration have no room to tolerate a man who's going to be in charge of the treasury and cannot find an accountant to review his own tax obligations. Wasn???t Obama recently quoted as saying we need more oversight on the Bailout Plan? This is a serious miss and it's better to admit to the serious mistake and choose another candidate. Obama needs to set the tone to the financial community that he has zero tolerance for this kind of history or behavior. Fiduciary trust must be re-established. By not admitting to the grotesque oversight, I think Obama will simply show how naive and weak he's going to be and will simply be run over by a bus in the tough and woolly town of Washington DC. Attempting to unite the country is one thing. Bending over like Gumby is another. Didn???t Obama, given the seriousness of the state of the economy, vow that fixing it would be his number one priority? Wouldn???t that make his Secretary of the US Treasury, one of the most important and accountable figures in his cabinet?

Nancy Pelosi the puppet master is pulling Obama's strings. Just like Feinstein, he will pay if he does not dance for them. Hell knows no fury, like a scorned women. GWB scorned Pelosi, and you saw the scorched earth agenda she rained on him. Obama has no chance, until she is removed from politics. Yes the infighting amongst the Democrats has just begun, unfortunately it could not happen at a worse time. We will all pay the price. There just is not much pie left, so they will fight tooth and nail for the bigger slice, and when its all gone, they will blame it on GWB, How convenient is that?
"GWB scorned Pelosi, and you saw the scorched earth agenda she rained on him."
Oh, so Pelosi is why things have gone so wrong?
No, but as far as Obama is concerned Pelosi, Finestein et al. will be much more formidable opponents than the Repubs.
Feinstein maybe now that she has decided to speak out come what may, but only if formidable is considered a relative term. Pelosi is a plug in my book.
"Plug"? Perhaps. I would not want to mess with her. Hell hath no fury .......
By the way, to all those who read my comments. I didn't vote for Obama, but I am fair and believe that he should be given a fair chance. He not the blamed for our messed up economy. I'll give him a year before I even hint at commenting on the job he's done. I think this is fair not only for him, but for anyone who takes on the tough job of running the country.
Yep. I agree. Let the guy actually enact some policies before we decide to jump on his a**.
Wayta go! It's a whole lot less self-defeating too isn't it?
I am so sick of anytime a non black doesnt agree with a black, they get stuck with the RACIST LABEL....yet any black can call anyone else anything they want...anytime they want and get away with it all becaause of something that happen 150 yrs ago....wake up.....besides obama is half white and the other half is more arab than black
Arab? Since when is Obama an Arab? I don't recall him ever being an Arab...maybe you should do your research before making comments...makes you look dumb...
bObOATMAMA...THE REGION OBAMA'S FATHER COMES FROM AND HIS RELATIVE ARE ARAB AND NOT 100% BLACK...ITS JUST A STATEMENT TO POINT OUT THAT THIS TITLE OF OBAMA BEING BLACK IS NOT SO CORRECT WHEN THAT PART OF OBAMA IS THE SMALLEST PART....AFRICA IS NOT A CONTINENT OF ONLY BLACKS....YOU DO SOME RESEACH
Since you've done all that research, could you please explain why Obama is part Arab? I think I must have missed something...
Because his patrimonial lineage contains a significant amount of Arab blood. Understand? Does that make him a bad person?...nope. Just answering your query.
BOAT
This country deserves what it gets!
Checking out of this country!!
Moving to a beach far, far away!!!
buh-bye!!!!
Ill just take my time and see what comes about.I truly think that Obama would not have been elected if he were not black. You can call that racist if you need to but that is a fact.At no other time in history has the black population come out and supported a election such as it did this time.So the only way to look at it was the vote by the blacks was not because of his message but because he was black. How racist? huh guess what .That is the reason I voted for him because all the guys said it was a given and we had to support a brother.Ihope we were right. If we are proved wrong then it will be hard to turn out his people the next time around but wgat the heck we are their now and nomatter what happens we can say we did it our way for once
This is "Change we can Believe in"......Same old Washington politics. BTW.....we vote for change every 4 years so this is nothing new. I am glad I did not waste my time voting for gridlock.
There are others of us who are glad you didn't vote too. Keep up the good work!
Good answer 40! Lol!
It is unfortunate that Obama won his campaign by exploited ignorance and by buying votes..
Explain to us how Obama "bought votes" and at what price. Thank you.
Your ignorance is why he won.
H-Roller:
Suggest maybe cut out the news guys who are getting you down, and watch C-Span on 21 for the bare essentials.
It is repeated enough throughout the day that you can catch it.
We have a CARD we can play right now and it is called Unity. The guys we are worried about 'Over There', who want to spiral the western world out of control, do not discrimate between you and me. In their view, we are both targets.
They too, are viewing the world through hate eyeglasses.
I am confident that all of us here, can be on the same side and work out the details.
If we don't, and fight and divide between us on the silly stuff, we are a nice big calling card in red ink.
Unity??? Another pretty word...kinda like...transparency...or bold. Really nice words...BUT...words will not keep us safe. Homobama and Panetta plan to gut the C.I.A. (Panetta was responsible for declined funding under Clinton), Holder (his planned A.G.) and Reno were responsible for the "WALL" between the C.I.A. and the F.B.I. The combination of these two decisions greatly increased the risk to us...resulting in 9/11.
Bush for whatever faults you make find...kept us from being attacked again. Now "The One" wants to destroy that safety net...does he want us hit??? Makes me curious. We know very little about our soon to be Prez. Heck we don't even know where he was born for sure. He's spent One MILLION dollars to keep it a secret.
We will be attacked. I'm sure the BarackStar will soundly chastise and condemn the action. Heck he will probably even bomb a fertilizer plant to show he means business.
Maybe the answer is to accept Islam and institute Sharia law. I'm sure PEBO would find that acceptable.
Allah Akbar Y'all
NOBAMA!!!
What I propose is that each of us on this forum write or call our senators and congressman and tell them that the American people are expecting them to work with the President and cross party lines now more than ever to make this nation the best it can be. Also tell them that you will be watching them closely, and if they whine, or stall or become a hurdle, we can always remove that hurdle in November.
No way. "Working with" this next POTUS entails giving up every ideal I have. I expect my congressman and Senators to OPPOSE him at every turn. Of course they won't - that would be "racist" now, wouldn't it?
Maybe it would just be more of the stupidity we've observed over the last eight years. How do you suppose that will get us out of the fixes Dubya put us into?
Most of the posters thus far come off like complete idiots...the man hasn't even been inaugurated yet - his term hasn't even STARTED yet, and all these wingnuts are blubbering about the "failure" of his presidency! Amazing. They don't recognize the utter, complete, disasterous failure of the conservative presidency of the last 8 years, WHICH HAS ALREADY HAPPENED, but seem to have a keen eye in seeing the failure of something that hasn't even yet begun. Yes, Obama said we need hope and change, but he NEVER said it was going to be easy to fix the mess made by Dubya & Co. Here's an idea...why don't you naysayers shut up and give the guy a chance before you make your completely uninformed, dogma-bound judgements? If you can't be positive and forward thinking, then just be quiet, and let the rest of us get down to the hard work it will take to try to repair at least some of the damage done by those of your ilk.
Such brilliant observation. Do you work for Newsweek and CNN?
No, saggia has no recollections of the past 8 years and only remembers the MSM constant drumbbeat of how bad the Hate Bush years were. Now the since the CRA and the subprime mess has bascially crippled the economy and elected obambi, then now the savior will cooly fix all our problems. And the ignorant voters will not know the difference. Only their children's futures will be effected and the lower standards of living and reduced expectations.
I thank barney frank, Chris dodd, maxine waters, fannie Frankin mac and the phil gramm types who allow the greatest country in the world to be bought to its knees. God save Obama. I will pray and keep my powder dry.
typical MSNBC type crap...they take this off the page on msn and put up a bollywood article and leave article about baseball card up....i
strange how MSM lefties are now being castigated for writing revealing articles on obambi. Campbell Brown and now Fineman are toast to the obama voters. Truly it does not matter, Obama will be our president, eff 20 january. I pray for this glib un prepared man and the voters who are fickle and ignorant. As a consevative and vet, I will honor the office and hope he is given a chance. However, as Reagan once said, ... Goverment is the problem.
Howard's account is accurate. However, Obama is doing as well or better than most of his predecessors. Give the guy a break. He has to build a team from a pool of crooks, egomaniacs, and incompetents. It is inevitable that he is going to be let down by the Richardson's, embrassed by the Blagovich's, and frustrated by the cabel in congress that we elected (well some were appointed and at least one will be seated by election fraud). Whether or not that he can lead participants of both parties to address the needs of the country rather than remain mired in partisan posturing for personal political gain remains to be seen. Isn't this what we all "hope" for?
Your right maxon. I apologise. He not a black dumbass, just a dumbass.
You're soooo evolved!
This one term lightweight is done even before he even started...
Wish that had been the case with Dubya!
It is unlikely he will be allowed to complete a full term. Too many skeletons in his closet...one (or more) is gonna take him down....and ALL his media support is gonna vanish...after the FIRST attack, on our homeland...
NOBAMA!!!
I always visit Republican blogs, and read their postings. They are obsessed with this man's name. It is almost pathological. Using someone's name as a smear and an insult reminds me of grade school behavior. Repubs respond by saying there is nothing wrong with saying a person's name. Well but when you repeat it over and over again with in intent to insult, it makes the person look bad that repeating it. Guys, this is WHY you are in the minority. Wise up, or stay there!
Now don't you go questioning our motives now... How DARE you!
Dr. Freud,
Please enlighten me as to how saying (or writing) a person's name INSULTS them. RONALD WILSON REAGAN, WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON, BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. Did I just insult these ex-presidents and the president-elect?
Why isn't anyone inquiring in why Bush put the country in such condition? Could it be to make the American people forget about "War Crimes" he and his administration commited? Lower enlisted were tried and convicted but what about the officals that gave the orders and set the standards?
Because we're not done trying to blame the Dems for the economic collapse, but we're working on it...
I am a white, 30 year old woman. I will have to admit, when Mr Obama was running for president, i never would have voted for him. Not because he is black but because I thought that someone older than him would do a better job. One day I woke and realized that he could be our future leaders. So, I read everything I could about him, researched everything I could, and listen to everything he said. In the end, who do you think I voted for? President Obama. I think that we, as a nation need to give him a little bit of support and stop doubting him. He hasn't even gone through inauguration yet!
He is taking on more than any other president has had to since I have been alive. From things like our ecomnomy to the shady stuff up on The Hill. This is going to be hard for him. He not only has to be president, but he has to worry about cleaning up our nation from the crap that our Pres Bush has put us all through.
For any doubters, give him a chance and support him. For those of us that do support him now, don't ever stop. He hasn't show me any reason to turn my back. As Obama says, we need change. I would like to think that he is the man to do it!
So... you're another one of us uninformed ignorants who only voted for him because he's black and we feel guilty, right?
