Is this article about Obama or is it just another opportunity for a liberal partisan to slam Bush?

You guys are going to have to learn how to cover Obama without Bush to kick around anymore.

It's January 8th give it a break. Any January with O in charge is better then one with B in charge. There's plenty of news to write about (like the battle in the middle east) so you don''t have to mak news up.

mjno, how can you say O'bama surrounds himself with the MOST corrupt politicians...first of all, all politicians are corrupt somewhere or another...just a fact. And second, we are just finishing the most corrupt and secretive administration ever! You "claim" he became senator via trickery...how the hell do you think Dubbya got elected...it certainly wasn't done by the people. Today is a good day because we are 12 days away from never having to "listen" to Dubbya ever again...

The absolute worse thing about the interminable wait for Obama is having to endure yet more boorish Bush-bashing from so many boring and unimaginative media pundits. The insults, the innuendo, and the so-called insight proffered by every self-anointed intellectual with access to a PC, microphone, or camera are stale beyond any reasonable expiration date.

No one is saying anything new that has not been said hundreds of times before vis-a-vis George W. Unlike General George Patton, the so-called media professionals have been going over the same ground for eight years. We have heard you already. Saying the same thing over and over may make you feel satiated and justified in your own self-righteous smugness, but it is driving me crazy to the point I can no longer read or listen. So here is my solution to keeping my sanity. I am giving each pundit's offering one minute or one paragraph to make an interestingly new point, or I am gone baby gone. Disappointingly, but not surprisingly, I have found lots of extra time on my hands, as this sample from Fineman provides no new information.

My greatest concern - how long into the Obama term before the likes of Fineman and Mathews and the Big O finally give up blaming Bush for everything? I am afraid it will never end.

His infrastructure "investment" is just more pork for corrupt local governments to waste. Remember Boston's "big dig"? [It' that times a million]. What ever happened to spending on thing that only the federal government can do? A national power grid? Interstate, high-speed data pathways? Nuclear power plants? National Oil storage facilities to buy oil when it's cheap and sell into the market when the price is high? A revised national highway and railway system to connect and serve this century's population centers? [instead we'll get pet projects like a maglev train connecting Sanfran and LA that noone will use] And, what about Rahmbo/Jarrett, neither has talked yet about the Blago "negotiations"? Isreal? [He can talk on the economy but not Isreal?]

Bumpy start is putting it MILDLY. He surrounds himself with the MOST corrupt politicians. He became a Senator via trickery. Who is Barack Obama? And, why is he our President?

Howard Finestein has always been critical of Obama, I'm not surprised by this rant. For my money, Obama has done a bang up job pre-Presidency. I don't expect the head of the CIA to be a master spook - the head is the manager of the master spooks and the public face of a private agency. Sounds like Panetta has all the skills he needs to raise the agency's reputation and morale. I couldn't care less about the Burris, Blago, Richardsen scandals, they are pundit-driven, not real world controversies.
