A Bumpy Start

I am so sick of people using the race card. Cacasions are a minorty in this country and you never hear anyone using the caucasion card.....grow up!

I would normally agree with the comments made by those posting comments to this article. However, when a man runs on a platform of HOPE and is now presenting himself as Mr. Gloom and Doom (Note: If I don't get my stimulus package we would have double digit unemployment). When he says he's running for CHANGE and so far all signs point to things being the same, then lets face it people, unless he changes the current course that he is on, then we've been fooled as a nation again.

This is just precious! You mean "THE ONE" doesn't have all the answers, and (gasp) makes mistakes? Say it ain't so! You never would have known it from the adulation heaped on "THE ONE" from the press the past two years. Why, the MSM tried to make us all believe "THE ONE" walks on water!

Here comes the "CHANGE" that 52% of the country voted for. Hold on tight - it's going to be a bumpy ride. Conservatives won't know whether to weep at the final unraveling of the country or laugh while we watch the clowns in Washington.

I have to side with scieszka on this one. Too many people are giving Obama credit for something that he hasn't yet attempted. I will say that he creates hope and that is the greatest thing that came from the elections, but for him to have such high approval ratings for something that he has yet to take control of is ridiculous.

This article is just more of the non-stop "OBAMARAMA that the liberal media (yeah, you, Newsweek) has been forcing down our throats for nearly two years.

Come on people, lets give the guy a break......He's not even in office yet, you all know how the media is it doesn't matter
whether it is politics or sports they are going to say what they want. But lets give the guy the benefit of the doudt.....he has an big big mess to clean up, (which he didn't create.) and I don't see him or anybody doing it in 4 years but maybe he can at least make it a little better. It has nothing to do on whether he is black or white who ever won the presidental seat this year has a long road ahead of them, so instead of being so negative lets give him the support of the country. If any body out there thinks they have all the answers then in 4 years you run for president and see if you can do a better job. But right now he has a very tough couple of years ahead of him and everyone is critizing him before he even starts. We are picking on him for Inaguration Parties and his inaguartion will close down bridges to get into the city, come on people, these are things that are not under his control. (Can't you think of anything better to complain about, evidently not.) These events are something that every other President has had and no one ever complained about the money spent but because he is BLACK he shouldn't be allowed to bast in the glory of becoming President. (YOU PEOPLE NEED TO BECOME REAL!) I love being an american and I love my country, and I'm am WHITE, (born, breed and raised), but there are times that I am embarassed to say that I am proud of that because of what people in this country are turning it in too ...... The US is a strong and growing country but I sometimes am not sure it is going in the right direction, and that has nothing to do with whoever is President.................. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!

Poor Obama. Poor poor Obama. Up until recently he's not been forced by the press to answer tough questions, actually SAY what he's going to do, or what his plans are. If he thinks he's got it rough now, what's he going to do after the 20th when he's no longer going to be able to pass every critisisim off on someone else or decline to answer? I don't feel sorry for him, he asked for it. As a citizen I will be insisting that he be accountable to all of us after the 20th.

IF THIS IS NOT ABOUT COLOR, THEN, WHY ARE YOU BLAMING OBAMA FOR THE MESS THAT BUSH PUT US IN. OBAMA'S NOT EVEN IN OFFICE YET. WHY WON'T YOU GIVE HIM A CHANCE LIKE YOU'VE DONE ALL OTHER PRESIDENTS? This is just a short response to Johnamaxon. Reread your own comments, and tell me how you really differ from the people you harangue and cajole about racism! The differences of race are many, and will always remain. Acceptance might be better for your own health in the long run. Obama has the intelligence to rise above the small things that seem to plague you so.

Obama is not president yet. The times we are in are bumpy, but it has been an 8year ride. It's not how a person starts, so much as how they finish. The better quote is that President Bush has a "bumpy" ending.

I am a 79 year old woman, and I believe in him and know a lot of people that do.He isn't in office yet and people need to give him a chance to even get in the office. He is for change and it is going to be a rough road for him and we all black and white need to help him with the change and change starts at home. We all need to look at the person and each one judged for what they do and say.I have known good and bad whites and good and bad blacks.Yes Bush is making a worse mess and it will be worse when he gets out and President Elect will have to strighten out the mess.Remember this one thing what goes around comes around. Try for one America, all equal,don't look at color.
