The Day After

I hope Israel fights long and hard to break the Hamas hold on Gaza. Forget about a 3 hour truce to re-supply the enemy because this is a war. A war that the Hamas brought upon themselves. The people that the Hamas are hiding behind voted the Hamas into office and then let them take over Gaza. Therefore why should they be given special privledges during a war can somebody answere that?

I think most intellectuals agree that history tends to repeat itself. Its only time before the American public wakes up and starts asking the right questions. Why is it that the US is always the only country to defend the Israelis? Is that because the rest of the world is anti-Semitic

Fatah is a terrorist organisation(sic) like Hamas. Fatah cadres were involved in the Munich Olympics massacre and the Intifada.Fatah is playing an intelligent game of getting entrenched in the liberated areas of West Bank and Gaza. Then it can go for the rest of Palestine when the time comes.

If someone announces that they want me dead and my country in ruins, and sets about trying to accomplish it, my thought would be to kill 'em back first. That is what Israel is doing, and I say more power to them. Hamas does not live up to agreements, they bide their time until they can kill again. Screw that, finish the job now!

From victim to neo-Nazis....this is what has become of the israelis. If Hitler was alive, he would be proud to have them as his stooges especially the way they are exterminating the Palestinians.

Some commentators are using God to justify the massacre going on in Gaza, which God is this? Nothing on earth can justify the killing of babies, childrens, womens, and elderly's. What's going on in Gaza right now is a genocide, even the Nazis and the Fascists throughout the history did not commit such atrocities.

As much as I sympathize with the Palestinian people, it seems they do everything pissible to make their own lives more miserable.

They've blown several opportunities in the past for their own nation. You have to ask yourself why.


No country would put up with missles raining down on their own people. Just seeing Israel's response in Lebanon should have warned Hamas what was to happen. I just can't see how Hamas cares about its own people when they invite such destruction. They are never going to get what they want in totality.

I think Israel would rather nuke Palestine than let it fall to extremists. That dark day may happen if a lasting peace can't be achieved.

For all the Israel bashers out there, please think for a minute. Where have you been in your crying for civilian well-being for the past eight years when Hamas has rained rockets on Israeli cities on a daily basis? Why were you not crying out then? And if you think that other countries don't do much more than Israel is doing now in order to suppress what they define as terrorism, you are mistaken. You only must look toward US operations in Afghanistan where civilian targets are bombed at the slightest hint of Taliban presence, or Turkey where Kurd separatists are killed regardless of military orientation. The Allies bombed entire cities during WWII in Europe in the hope of bringing Hitler to his knees. Hamas is the governing entity in Gaza and supported by the population. Gaza is thus the only recognized territory in the world governed by an internationally designated terrorist group. Hamas also does not recognize Israel's right to exist. How do you think any other country, all Western countries included, would react if it was attacked by a terrorist group that wasn't only separatist (which is bad enough - witness previously mentioned Turkey, atrocities committed by the UK in retaliation against IRA activities, etc) but intent on destroying its entire existence.
For anyone familiar with Nazi activities, it is abundantly clear that any comparison between them and Israel is pure propaganda rooted in hatred. Israel takes Palestinian sick and wounded into its hospitals and treats them, even when those wounded are terrorists rescued by soldiers from tunnels full of explosives aimed at killing those same soldiers or people hit by missiles fired at Israel but missing their targets and hitting Palestinian civilians. What other country in the world would do that? Pray tell. This is a war for peace in Israel and anyone who says otherwise is speaking purely out of ignorance, or worse, out of hate.

Lets get the facts straight.
Gaza is not like Canada or Mexico. The REAL QUESTION SHOULD BE:
What would the Canadian or Mexican people do if their country was completely controlled and blockaded(air, land, and sea) by the US. Would they just sit there and take it. Would they let their people starve and die from lack of medication and power?
Hamas was the democratically elected government. They have a right to defend their people I think. I???ll tell you what I would do if my kids were starving because of another group of people(animals), I would kill as many as I can. I???m sure every person in the world would do the same. These are the facts. I love how the American Jews change the facts to make the Israelis look like the victims and to keep the biggest financial and military aid flowing. I cant wait for the American people; like the rest of the world, to wake up. That is when peace will be achieved in the Middle East.

Hamas wants war. If they wanted to help the Palestinians, it would use the money for schools, roads, businesses and jobs not bombs. It has to prove it is a reliable partner for peace. Is this too hard to understand?

There seems to be a lot of sloppy discussion going on here. If it's war, then it's not terrorism. And Isreal has definitely declared war on Hamas, in case you haven't noticed. And the need for war was precipitated by the endless terrorism, even of words, that Hamas hurls at Israel.

Israel has every right to this land that everyone except Palestinians agrees was their home for thousands of years. They didn't just leave of their own free will, and I guarantee you they won't ever leave this land again. Israel is the victim of more terrorism than any people on earth, and why? Because they exist! The only way they could exist is if the story in the Bible is true.

God says about Israel, "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated," When He speaks of Isaac's two sons; and to their mother, Rebekah, He says, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger." The older was Esau, but try telling that to a Muslim. They just rewrite history to hide their self-hatred; Their "father" sold their birthright for a bowl of soup. It was he who first hated!

And so, here we are, discussing who's right and who's wrong, and who's to blame for all this death and destruction. Their hatred is real! Their story is written in stone. And who are we to even think we are worth being listened to as we blabber on and on about what's what, and who's who? Ahhh, because WE are GOOD people? ...Who really, really care? Right? Delusional at best.

Hamas are terrorists! And the Gaza population approves! Their day of reckoning is upon them. I hope Israel is utterly victorious! Over and over again!

It is well to remember that the only terrorists are the Israelis. By all international law, the invader is the terrorist and any actions taken to disrupt, kill, or hamper in any way, those invaders, is 100% legal, provided the actions are within the bonds of what is permitted outside of the set standards for human conflicts. In fact, the actions of Israel fall in the realm of terrorism, not the actions of the Palestinians who are legally opposing the illegal occupation of their lands, as set forth in the original agreement that established Israel. Nazi Israel learned well from Nazi Germany, adopting group punishment, establishment of Ghettos, etc. Israel is the most ardently and openly evil of all the nations on earth and is the sole real problem in the Middle East. Shame on any American who supports the fascist nation of Israel.

When Islamic terrorists murdered 3,000 Americans on 911 would have it have been wrong when we went after them to kill 25,000 of them? It is the responsibility of every government to do whatever they have to do to protect their citizens. The threat to their population must be eliminated.

Here are the facts: Israel withdrew every settler and every soldier from Gaza in 2005. Hamas is not only sworn to the destruction of the State of Israel but they announced that they would not honor any agreements Israel had signed with Arafat and Mohammed Abbas. That my friends is a state of war. Hamas has launched 6,200 rockets against Israeli homes, schools, hospitals, restaurants, and marketplaces the past three years.

When Britain and America attacked Germany in World War II their target was the German army but we destroyed entire cities and bombed entire cities. The entire country of Germany was reduced to rubble. Despite the fact that Gaza is the most densely populated land in the world Israel sent their aircraft in hundreds of sorties and killed six hundred people of which eighty percent were terrorists. Of course any civilian death is a tragedy but what other country in the world would take the same care Israel did in doing everything humanly possible to avoid civilian casualties?

I read the postings the past few days and it seems as though some misinformed people think the rockets that Hamas is lobbing Israel with are just a nuisance and that they cannot kill and maim. If you feel that way than I hope you would not mind if 6,200 rockets are launched at New York City from Jersey City, New Jersey at your homes, your kids schools, and where you work. Let's see how much of a "nuisance" you think that is.

No country in the world can sit idly by when terrorists threaten their citizens with rocket attacks. The terrorists in Hamas, Hezbollah, and AL Queda are one and the same. They hide behind innocent civilians because they know that the West is worried about going after them and harming innocent people. Israel, like any other country in the world, had no choice. They had to stop rockets and the murder and maiming of its people. There is no such thing as proportionality in war. Evil must be defeated and it is never a situation where a one to one ratio can ever be achieved between the terrorists and the innocents they are murdering.

The US has no authority here, yes we are the world hegemonic authority right now but this conflict is nothing new when you look at it from a historical perspective. It is far beyond our control. Whether you call them Israelis or Israelites, Palestinians or Philistines this is a conflict that goes back thousands of years! There is just not enough land to go around and even if there was I doubt that either group would be content to share it with the other after such a long history of conflict. Not everyone looks at the world through the same eyes as we in America do. This is their battle to fight, not ours! The most that we can hope for is to intervene enough to contain the conflict and avoid starting World War III.
