Noise. He hasn't been given a chance to deliver and already people are complaining. These politicians ae so used to being coddled that they immediately race a red flag at anything simply because they have not been consulted. If they have a problem, they should list thier issues and provide solutions. Right now all they are doing is objecting without providing solutions or even suggestions. None of them have come up with a stimulus package and I think they should do this before objecting to what has been put on the table. They should make thier own suggestions and then all the ideas and thoughts can be combed through, instead of just objecting for the sake of objecting. This financial crisis has been going since September and what have they done to help the situation? Nothing!! This is not about politics, its about the survival of the american people and how we can get out of the hole we are currently languishing in. These politicians don't seem to want to get us out of the hole. They don't know how to play nice when a perfect opportunity comes their way This is now the time to come togehter and go beyond partisan politics and these politicians seem to be quite fine with continuing with their old ways of creating divides where there are none.

Give Obama a chance to deliver. Maybe he will change Washington.

Considering that no one can account for the last handout, why shouldn't they be asking questions? Im not a big fan of this stimulus plan as the one we got last year did what? for who? I am a fan of Barack Obama however, and am trusting him to make the right decision but there needs to be accountability, so keep the questions coming and hopefully there will be answers.

Congress hasn't been paying attention to anything but partisn party politics for years and they don't have any idea how to work together any longer. They will need some to reintroduce kindergarten politics on playing nice, sharing, and introducing themselves to the other kids in order to understand that they can talk to each other and work together on finding solutions to/for the economy.

I dont think the stim pack is a good idea. Why double our defecit, increase our debt, and raise taxes helping people that did wrong in the first place

Is a press conference the only route to a serious discussion of the plan's details? There is entirely too much unsolicited advice across the media spectrum and entirely too much preening and posturing in Congress. If a legislator takes issue with the proposal, don't tell the press; tell the president-elect's economic team.

I am glad they are raising their voices on this issue. Is any type of project perfect right off the bat? Of course not; there needs to be editing and proof-reading. I am a bit more surprised how quiet it is on the GOP end

Congress wants to be seen as relevant and important. They wish to reassert themselves after the last eight years. The problem is that now is not the time. They should have done that back in 2003. Now we need a united bipartisan effort to pass this stimulus plan so we don't have a decade of depression.
