China is a mercantile state which exports huge amounts of products, while the government strictly limits imports into the country. Unfortunately, China does not have an internal market to support the amount of products it produces, and since one of its primary "cash cows"...the United States ...is going through tough economic times, I would expect the "miracle" of the Chinese economy to sputter and fade.
Of course, I could be wrong since Americans, instead of stopping spending altogether, may now be looking for a great deal on products, leading them to cheaper goods manufactured in China.
But, my point is simply this...the "miracle" of the Chinese economy is being bought and paid for by American consumers rather than the economic savvy of the Chinese government.
