jomokenyata: Why don't you find a middle school blog to post on?

Dear jomokenyata: Oh, that's right, communists don't fight. How inane can you be? Really.

I find this passage extremely enlightening. This author is wasting no ones time. Thanks

Are you people even real? Real men that is? Your criticisms of the Bush-Cheney years say more about this incoherent fear to control, strong stance in national defense and security than what these two men really did for our nation. I'm sick and tired of lily livered pseudo-intellectual pansies like you abusing this and other forums to spread their inoherent, touchy-feely view of the world. I'm also tired of idiots like these authors hunting for the boogey man( with fly swatters) in their own government than in the real monsters out there that do not waterboard but behead, cut genitals, desecrate and mercilessly attack the western world in the name of Allah. Enough! Go get some cojones.....Oh wait, do you know what that means? Civil liberties my bottom. Where were you when Saddam gassed 200,00 Kurds? Where were you when Osama rejoiced in his tapes for killing 3000 of your countrymen? Where are you when Joseph Koney is massacring Ugandan natives using children? Most importantly where are you when you're supposed to protect an innocent being in the womb from murder? As to what Obama is to do now, that should scare you, because he will make sure the world loves us (I don't know how he'll get the radical Muslim world to tolerate our women's freedom, or perhaps the homosexual lifestyle....which is really why they hate the west....) while destroying all that we hold dear, individual liberty, American ingenuity and initiative, capitalism while asserting his marxist views of re-distribution of wealth through the fiscal system. That world you live in as painted in your article is nothing but smoke and mirrors....the boogey men are really OUT THERE....not in the White House.

Ben Franklin thinks you're an idiot as well. See below.

"Your criticisms of the Bush-Cheney years say more about this incoherent fear to control, strong stance in national defense and security than what these two men really did for our nation. "

Newsflash - Bush took an oath to uphold the Constitution, and he didn't even come close.

This American saying (from a real American) is hundreds of years old:

"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security. "
      Benjamin Franklin

So it's not me saying it but Ben Franklin who died centuries before you were born, calling you an idiot.

Heaven forbid that any alleged capital offense criminal should suffer any discomfort!,notwithstanding the inabilitiy of their victim(s) to mitigate their extreme discomfort at the hands of the fiends that perpetrated the crimes of which they are accused. It seems to me that we needn't worry over the possible discomfort to alleged perpetrators, but rather we should encourage any method that will provide valuable information to both prosecute them if they are guilty and prevent other similar crimes against innocent people. I wonder how many of the activists, who are up in arms over the alleged brutality at Guantanamo, or anywhere else for that matter, would respond in the event that one of the victims were one of their familiy members or loved ones. Thic country needs to 'put on a big pair of shoes' and deal with the rampant disregard for human life that is being demonstrated by hateful individuals and groups virtually everywhere.

"Heaven forbid that any alleged capital offense criminal should suffer any discomfort!,"

That's why W and Cheney haven't been impeached.

      • Posted By: Vypurr @ 01/14/2009 10:09:10 PM

Wrong. The reason Bush hasn't been impeached is because there's no proof or grounds to do so.

        • Posted By: YashBudini @ 01/14/2009 11:23:59 PM

No proof John Gotti killed anybody either. That's sure makes him a nice guy.

You would be singing an entirely different song if it was YOU under that gun. Alleged Criminals ... key words here. The US is based on the idea that you are innocent until PROVEN guilty and that you must be charged in a timely manner. We don't hold without charging "alleged crimnals" in this country. Hell, even Madoff is getting a better deal than that. But wait, I forgot, he's white so it's ok. (Right? Tell me I'm not!). If it were YOU that some neighbor had turned in to the FBI as a potential terr, and it was YOU who had no access to an attny, and it was YOU whio was being imprisoned without being charged then you would be singing a new tune. And don't think that great big Pat Act gun can't/won't be leveled off at you. All it takes is a freaked out neighbor to turn you in and the machine has started against you. I have personal experience with this so do not tell it can't happen here. It does. To law abiding Born in the USA citizens. And if it does happen to you, you will have ZERO recourse. Your business suffers, your family suffers, everyone around you suffers from this.

But your indoctrination won't allow you to see through the fog. I;m terribly sorry for you.

"Obama will never fill Cheneys shoes let along Bushes. "

Well if by that you mean the US won't give Halliburton and its CEO and commander-and-chief ANOTHER half a trillion dollars that would be a good thing.

      • Posted By: Vypurr @ 01/14/2009 10:06:24 PM

You and your Halliburton conspiracy. You can prove none of it of course, that doesn't keep you from ragging on it.

  • Posted By: Truth or Consequences @ 01/14/2009 10:40:55 PM

What a CROCK!!! The completely incompetent Bush administration had ample time and opportunity to prevent the 9/11 attacks after the Clinton administration. But they foolishly laughed off the threat as well. Then they certainly didn't waste anytime taking advantage of the opportunity right after the attacks to start meddling with the Constitution just to serve their own myopic, greedy and draconian agendas now, did they?

Cheney is such a vile and utterly dispicable individual. It is befitting to his foul charater that he would hand-down such rhetorical scare tactics. Terrorists planned for a decade to execute the 9/11 attacks and I'm sure immediately began to plan more after their appalling success. Regardless of the clowns that oversaw this administration, the unconstitutional and overreaching tactics that were perpetrated by Bush/Cheney only quelled the potential aftermath ancillary terrorist attacks which were probably a response to the shocking impact of the 9/11 attacks and most likely been thwarted without these "extra" executive powers.

This horrendous trend MUST be rescinded as quickly as possible and both Bush and Cheney should be investigated for their fascist tactics. Furhtermore, they should possibly be indicted for their gross misconduct. This should occur immediately while we still can exercise the priveledges afforded to us by what's left of our democracy. Any more of their nonsense as well as their methodical diminishment of our rights and freedom and they will have facilitated the terrorists to succeed in destroying our way of life after all.

    • Posted By: Vypurr @ 01/14/2009 11:20:00 PM

Eight months into office and 9/11 happens, and you think Bush had "ample time" to prevent that attack? Wrong. Clinton had eight years and did nothing. 9/11 was planned during his presidency and in place by the time Bush took office.

    • Posted By: Twister52 @ 01/14/2009 10:52:20 PM

Sorry, but you're opinion is flat out incorrect. As that country singer said years ago, "Here's your sign".

To RemoveTheSlant: For someone "having worked in the financial world for over 17 years", you not only have little credibility, but your statements are self-serving, as well. Did you see the recent documentary "The Ascent of Money"? Hosted, produced and written by Harvard Economics Professon Niall Fergoeson, it outlines why the recent financial crises is only one in a long string of massive failures in the financial world. WATCH IT! Then come back and explain away your pathetic insinuations that Clinton is to blame for this . . . you and many of my friends will still be blaming Bill Clinton for the ills of the world for the next 30 years if logic and reason doesn't get in your way.

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this matter. It is my sincerest belief that President Bush may well do quite a bit of self-reflection; he just doesn't tell everyone about it. It is a priivate matter although such revelations could be used to influence people. As concerns our enemies (those who are responsible for 9/11), let us make no mistake about it. Ben Laden and his folllowers have been quite direct about their goals. Americans fundamentally and, in general, do not approve of torture or of the other atrocious methods used by the Islamic Militant Terrorists. However, we would have to have our heads in the clouds to believe that negotiation and polite behavior will protect our people from these terrorists.
It has been common and accepted practice in the past(World War II) for the United States(and their opponents) to capture enemies and secure needed information from them so that a lot of American lives and the lives of people from other countries would be spared. We just cannot play patty-cake with enemies, especially those enemies are dedicated to the destruction of the United States and it's people.
Who ever heard of taking German or Japanese prisoners of war or spies during World War II and providing these enemies with legal counsel immediately. Yes, I am referring to the very, very poor recent decision of the United States Supreme Court. We had German prisoners of war in our country during World War II. We treated them as prisoners, and they were not entitled to all of the rights of Americnan citizens. I would strongly suggest that those who believe that small claims courts, superior courts, negotiation or some other poliicies that operate within a civilized society get a reality check.
We are at War, and it is a World War. However, this time the enemies are outright terrorists; they are not militants, but terrorists. We have not had another direct attack on the U.S. for over seven years. And it is a lot less likely that we will have another attack such as 9/11 if we maintain the Patriot Act, utilize those methods that are needed to extract information that may or will save thousands or perhaps even millions of our people, and make it clear to the enemy and their supporters that any attack will be dealt with harshly by us. There is no other choice except to surrender to our enemies. Appeasement in any way, shape, or form will not work. G.P. Siegmund January 14, 2009

To: Impeachthemall...I fear that you have fallen victim to the blame cancer that has overrun this country. The health of your Granddaughter is of the utmost importance and I wish her all the best. It seems like you have a lot on your plate. However, how can you blame the government for your financial situation. Having worked in the finance world for over 17 years, I can tell you that most of what is happening is an aftershock from the national real estate investment market. So, since it seems like you fall to the left of the political line, let me inform you that most of the programs that have spurred on most of the crisis were implemented in the Clinton administration. Also, the only President to be impeached and disbarred in his own state. The government can't control peoples bad choices in the past that has led us all to this point. If so, let's round up all the stupid, lying, fraud committing jerks that did this to our economy and ship them to an island and let our military use them for target practice. Sadly, stupidity is all around us. I appreciate and respect you for raising a young man of courage that has served our country and I don't think they get the credit and rewards they deserve. I hope you have success and peace in 2009. By the way, my state just elected a congress person that thinks that now that Iraq is doing better and they have all the money, they can start paying for our expenses to be there. What do you think of that? It's something to ponder.

The rhetoric of the Bush-deranged is always pitiful in its hyperbole and paranoia. If you don't believe me, simply read the adjestives in the comments above and below this one. But none of these writers could offer a single factual example of a violation of any of their own constitutional rights in the past eight years. No one will say they were imprisoned; no one will say they were censored; no one will say they were fined, jailed, beaten-up, held incommunicado, denied a lawyer or kept from speaking and writing whatever they wanted to. It's all happened to someone else, out there, unnamed.
Its the Fantasy Fascism of the deracinated mind.
    Pathetic.

Article quote: "Last summer, the U.S. Senate (with Obama absent) voted to require the CIA to use no interrogation methods other than those permitted in the Army Field Manual. These are extremely restrictive: strictly speaking, the interrogator cannot ever threaten bodily harm or even put a prisoner on cold rations until he talks. "

    You're kidding, right?

You can't even "talk" about beating a terrorist up?

U.S. interrogator: (picture this in your biggest, baddest, meany voice) "Hey! You'd better tell us what your future plans are for killing and maiming innocent American citizens are or we'll make you eat cold oatmeal for dinner!"

U.S. weanie lawyer present at the interrogation: "Psssst! By law you HAVE to feed him 3 HOT meals a day".

U.S. interrogator: "Damn! OK, tell us about your future plans to kill and maim innocent Americans or I won't give you a napkin when we feed you! And this time I mean it!"

What kind of idiots are the extremist liberals and lawyers making us become???????????? I'm not for ripping arms out of sockets (like the North Vietnamese did to guys like McCain) but as a U.S. Air Force pilot I went through Air Force Survival School in the Fall of 1993 and I can absolutely guarantee you that what our OWN guys did to us to prepare us for the possibility of being captured and interrogated by our enemies was a L-O-T more painful than what we're allowing our interrogators to do.

Time will show that Bushwhacker and Chainmaster knew of 9/11 before it happened. There is already very much proof in spite of their power to block the truth. Also they leave Osama Bin Laden free on purpose to keep the scare tactics going. All of the reptiles that suround Bushwhacker profitied by selliung weapons to Saddam and they profited selling weapons to Americans like the one who made the comment previous to this one. Yeah, say I'm a wako commie just like you did when Reagan was selling weapons to Iran. I am an American Bush and Cheney are corporate pirate traitors to our nation and constitution guilty of crimes against Humanity , Nation and Nature. If they are not held accountable for their crimes America will fall within our lifetime.
