Time will show that the Bush/Cheney Admin, was right. Ubama has alot of work to do and I don't envy him. It is interesting that Mr. Taylor and Thomas suggest that Pres. Obama just need to go to Congress and the American people to explain the continuation of policies that have kept America safe, and by extension if Bush had done the same he would not have the current animosity by the democrats and main stream media. What a farce! Tthe religion of the political party and outright denial and denigration of the other side rules the day. I find it absolutely telling that two months after the election the mainstream media is now setting the stage to allow Mr. Obama to backtrack on the rhetoric of change he campaigned on.

I was 25 minutes late to work on September 11th. It saved me from being at the base of Tower One when the first plane crashed into it, and likely being severely injured if not killed. I am one of the last people to have passed through the lobby of World Trade Center One. I can tell you what the sunlight looked like streaming through its lobby windows, the white chrysanthemums that were newly placed that week in the lobby planters, the carpeting new since July, the fronds of the lobby palm that brushed against my elbow that morning and every morning, the way the upper lobby smelled slightly of mildew and kitty pee, the exhibit being installed on the pedestrian crossover, the lobby security guard nodding hello to me that morning??? and my not knowing to this day if he ever made it home since many of them died helping others.
It is all gone now. Erased from the face of the Earth 2,751 KILLED

I am one of the last people to stand in the shadow of the World Trade Center.
??? 3 weeks before, I danced in its plaza to the sound of a live band playing music during the lunch hour.
The building that I worked in was turned into a morgue that morning.
I stood at my desk that morning feeling trapped as did the hundreds of people on our trading floor. I stood 4 feet away from a man who knew that at that very moment his brother-in-law was dying across the street??? he knew that his brother-in-law was probably burning to death at that moment. I will never forget the stoic, tragic look on his face until the day I die.

Someone asked me ???What???s happening out there???? after I???d just come back from the window to see what was going on across the street.

???The World Trade Center is on fire and people are burning in the street.???
I replied.

Until the day I die, I will never forget that I said these words. Until the day I die, I will never somehow believe that I ever said these words.

Bush, Cheney, the FBI, the CIA, the military??? those that Saw The Carnage First Hand And Its Destruction and had the power, have the power to stop it from ever happening again on American soil??? they have had to make the most difficult decisions in modern America.

I cried everyday for 6 months after September 11th. I jumped every time a door slammed or I felt a vibration or heard a boom for weeks. My friends saw people falling and screaming to their deaths that morning, they stepped on dead people???s body parts, they were enveloped in the heat from explosion of the planes as they stood on the street, they were covered in soot and they reeked of jet fuel, they ran for their lives and thought they would die. My co-workers went to funerals 2-3 times a week for 4-5 weeks straight. Grown men that I worked with sat at their desks with red-rimmed eyes from tears they were holding back. I inhaled pulverized particles of glass that morning from the collapsed towers??? it lacerated the lining of my lungs, to this day I have bronchial/breathing problems. Every time I see a picture or a book of September 11th I have deep, intense pain and sobbing. I still wake from dreams crying from a sadness that cannot be explained.
I ran to the window within 30 seconds of feeling the explosion of Tower One across the street. A Wall of Fire, A Tidal Wave Of Flame rolled out from the lobby and Torched Every Human Being In Its Path. HUMAN TORCHES??? I SAW HUMAN TORCHES, RUNNING IN TERROR, DOWN IN THE STREET.
It wasn???t safe to be in the building??? and it wasn???t safe out in the street.
We had no where to go.
The rest of the world watched Our Terror on tv from the safety and comfort of their homes and offices. We lived each moment of Terror with an Inexplicable Horror and Uncertainty.
I walked eight and a half miles to get home that morning, stunned, thirsty, hungry and in shock. I collapsed to my knees and sobbed hysterically when I was within a few blocks from home.
