The media may not think much of President Bush but many of us Americans would like to thank him for keeping us safe for the last seven years. He was dealt a tough hand during his presidency. I wonder if anyone else could done as well. Lets all pray that President-elect Obama handles the next 4 or 8 years with the American People in mind and not the special interests like the other "leaders" we have in congress.

What simply amazes me about this election cycle is that people either don't have a clue, don't care, or don't care that they don't have a clue. President Bush's two terms were an example of something that could've have been really good, but turned out just good, because of the liberal press, idiot liberal and progressives in this country, and some of those good old fashioned pesky unknown events that seem to creep up in life.

It doesn't matter if you're a liberal or conservative, it seems that your opponent must always see everything coming or you're an idiot. My God, can some of you just simply accept the fact that when your in charge of something as big as the U.S. Government, that certain events happen without you knowing they're coming and you have to make the best decision you can at the time, without the benefit of hindsight?!

look at you all trying to defend him. Take on second, a step back, and look at where our country is NOW and where it was when he took over 8 years ago... see any differences... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm THANK GOD HE IS DONE!!!!

    What bad choices?

Like taking his eye off the ball on OBL, and ignoring his experienced advisers and completely blowing the Iraq invasion.

The only thing President Bush can be proud of is he got eight years out of the tax payers and he can now retire the rest of his life. His service to our country has yet to be explained. His plan was not very good because there now may not be enough money in the Fed budget to pay for his retirement. Way to go P Bush.

Give it up already! You'll be wishing you had W back when O'Bama guts the CIA and Al Qaeda attacks a neighborhood near you.

    • Posted By: whatisreal? @ 01/15/2009 1:44:08 PM

I am laughing as I write this. Do you seriously think we aren't being attacked becuase of Bush?? They could attack a neighborhood any time they want. They could pull of a roadside bomb any time they want. Are you really that stupid to think it is even about that. Are ya??? are ya???

I actually wish that GWB was never born. That is what I wish...

    • Posted By: Zebedatious @ 01/13/2009 12:46:43 PM

I agree SawdustKing... I too completely ignore that Bush was in the White House during 9/11 and had a memo regarding Osama Bin Laden on his desk. Why gut the CIA and watch an attack happen when you can simply ignore them!!! Planet and ID please?

Bush is but a footnote now. Nothing we can do about him. See ya. However, I support Obama 100%. He has a lot to deal with but he has a team that he is organizing as well as a family to take care of. He's made of stern stuff, uncorrupted by the Government machine. He made on his own right through the grace of GOD and he knows this. This man is a phenomenon and will work to secure his legacy with improvements to how the United States government serves the people and how the people respond to his vision and efforts. There's a bright future ahead and many achievements to be made and Obama will work to not only be the first named African-American President but to place a footprint in the Presidency as a groundbreaker and innovator. As I reflect back on first African-American feats, I am mindful that they produced much fruit in the future of man.

Probably more scary then any horror movie ever made would be the inside knowledge of what's been going on within our own government for the past 100 years. I think if people found out the complete truth, on every single subject each President has had to deal with since the turn of the century, the whole outlook on what our country was really about for all these years might be something completely different then what public perception has always been. The word "Freedom" might take on a completely differnt meaning!!

Your an idiot to think the war had nothing to do with oil. If not ask yourself this how much did it cost to fuel your car last year at this time and how much now?? Interesting

An ounce of fact, and a ton of opinion.... so typical. Joseph Goebels would be proud!

He will be remembered as one of the best Presidents ever, now the congress that has had the lowest approval rating EVER might be a different thing. Thanks for this great economy democrats, you doubt its their fault? Educate yourself, look at Carter and Clinton, their policies are directly responsible for the housing mess, Democratic congress is responsible for the economic mess in the last 4 years ( it was doing just fine before they got in office and did everything in their power just short of Treason to ruin Bush's presidency.

I think George W. Bush did what he could. Did he make some poor, misinformed decisions? Yes. But I would like to see what anyone else would if another 9/11 attack would happen during their presidency. How they would go about trying to appease the minds and fears of Americans. I think politics suck for this very reason. Here- a man did his best- with admitted mistakes-yet many peopel s till choose to knock him personally. Good luck Obama-because if you screw up- the whole world is watching. Oh that's right- if you screw up we'll just blame it all on George W. Bush- because everything is his fault.

    • Posted By: 40YearR @ 01/15/2009 1:42:55 PM

"blame it all on George W. Bush- because everything is his fault."

That's far more true than not.
