Bush and Co. are much worse than "a bad joke". They are evil! and plotted 9/11 as an excuse for war (in Iraq of all places even though almost all of the 9/11 "terrorists" were Saudis!). Then followed the disgustigly heartless disregard for the safety and lives of New Orleans residents hit by the fury of Katrina (Bush called his criminal inaction a "disappointment"!). Now, the American people, the USA and world-wide economy, all suffer from the worst financial disaster ever due to the heinous decisions of Bush and Co. to let their banking buddies (the likes of Madoff) run amuck in a suicidal sea of unregulated greed and money-grubbing over the past eight years. How anyone can find excuses for the unparalled evil perpretated by the 43rd president and his henchmen is beyond belief!

GW Bush and Co. what a sad sick joke. I believe he took office illegally in 2000 and 2004. I believe after reviewing dozens of hours of evidence he and his were responsible for 9/11. Come on people there are facts available to all of us. If the main stream media would publish the truth then American's would know what millions of peoples know outside of our country. GW Bush and Co. committed high treason against the American people and the world. Open your eyes and stop hiding your heads in lies.

For my part I will always fondly recall the expansion of Daylight Saving Time by a few days in the spring and in the fall, to be the one shining highlight of Bush's Administration.

Cheney's true role may very well have been "THE DARK LORD".

I would not wish any man so ill as to think he should be assassinated. To do that would lower me to a level I don't care to go to. But, I am breathing a sigh of relief that on 1/20/09 I can personally feel more hopeful and more motivated to become once again an involved citizen, working for positive change in my community. This is what I believe Obama's election has brought to me.

There's a part of me that just wants to scream. Frustration runs rampant yet, due to our mainstream media having such a liberal bias and hatred toward Bush its understandable why so many flock like sheep to the podium to share these view points.
Let's take a look at what the writer says here.
"Bush's three most obvious legacies are his decision to invade Iraq, his framing of a global war on terror after September 11 and the massive financial crisis"

    1. The Iraq war. There were 2 objectives here. First to rid the world of Saddam Hussein and second to lay the foundation for a democratic nation in the Middle East. Both of these objectives were crucial and if you don't understand that then you're an idiot and there's no hope for you. All this talk of Bush lies, WMDs and no link to 9-11 are just nonsensical and moronic. Were do you think extremism comes from? It flourishes in both dictatorships and suppression.
Freedom or at least some form of it is the first step.
The world is in constant fear and turmoil because of Islamic extremism and will remain until we decide to deal with it.

    2. The framing of a global war on terror. Ok, so we should just sit back do nothing and wait for another 9-11?
    Yeah. That really makes sense.

    3. The massive financial crisis. Oh this is a good one! Bush is to blame huh? Perhaps people should look at our congress.
This crisis has been caused from corruption both within our congress as well as Wall Street.

    1. We have 2 choices. We rid the world of Islamic extremism or we bow to it, let it flourish and continue to live in fear.
    2. See above.
    3. A bailout. Well, that's what's happening. The solution from the people who played a huge role in creating the problem.
Wrong answer congress, just adds to the problem.

Now for all the Obama supporters out there, especially to the ones who voted for him because you think he's going to end the war on terror. Wrong again. Aint going to happen. In fact there's a good chance it will escalate.
    I can only hope so.

I've only read 10 or so of the earliest comments because I simply had to stop reading. Before I continue, I want everyone to know that I am not affiliated with any party and, at 40, voted for the first time in my life because I obviously couldn't count on my fellow Americans to make the right choice. TWICE?!? YOU VOTED FOR HIM TWICE?!? I couldn't be more ashamed to be an American when he was elected for a second term. If I could have afforded it, which I couldn't thanks to Bush's gross mismanagement of this country's affairs on ALL aspects, I would have relocated to a different country just hoping that I wouldn't be shot simply for being a former American.

Don't get me wrong, I love my country and what it stands for. What I don't love is what WE THE PEOPLE have LET those on Capitol Hill do not only to this country and its hardworking citizens, but to the entire world and its hardworking people. It's no wonder people hate us Americans because we couldn't be further from what this country truly stands for. If you think people don't hate us, just try traveling anywhere overseas. I've been there on business, did some touring, and was disheartened by the treatment I received from various Europeans and Africans simply because I am an American. I wasn't a fellow human being in their eyes -- I was pure evil. So evil that one Croatian family even refused my offering of a free roll of film when they ran out and couldn't afford the high price of film there at The Versailles and then went out of their way to glare at me the entire time we were there.

Moving on, I'm not even going to touch on what a horrible president Bush was other than to say that he has to be the absolute worst and that it will take a great deal to break that record. The reason I am writing this is because I want to discuss how blindly ignorant so many Americans have become. In all their defensive rantings on behalf of Bush and the Republican Party, I have to wonder if their eyes are even open. Can you not see how foolish you sound? Please, do us all a favor and just stop talking because you're only adding to the hatred that's already deeply embedded in the hearts of countless others around the world.

The real problem in this country is not who is heading the Oval Office and Capitol Hill. It is that blindly ignorant stance so many Americans (mostly Republicans) have adopted. The only reason I never voted before 40 was because there was never anyone worth voting for in my humble opinion. It was my fellow Americans' failure to oust that man after his first term that initially urged me to vote. Then, along came Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama (a white female and a black man), speaking not only to the nation, but the entire world about how badly this country needs to change. HALLELUJAH!!

While I would have preferred a woman in the White House, I am equally ecstatic that Obama made it. There simply are no words to describe just how ecstatic I am that you poor, brainwashed, blind, confused, and, in some cases, even self-serving Republicans did not get your way this time. THANK GOD!! I can actually breathe and feel proud to be an American again. Well, I may not be able to breathe quite that easily just yet since I'm still suffering financially. As I type this, my tummy is growling because I'm trying to make the little bit of food I have last longer and my body is shivering from the 50 to 60 degree atmosphere I have no choice but to maintain in my house due to a lack of affordable natural gas for my furnace. Living in Kansas, it's rough. I'm just glad I don't live further north.

The bottom line of all my ramblings...wise up America!! Stop letting the crooks on Capitol Hill take us all down while they fill their own pockets at the expense of the entire world. Stop turning a blind eye while our own hungry, homeless, jobless, poorly educated, elderly, children and families in need, and lack of affordable and ACCOUNTABLE health insurance gets grossly ignored while this country's billionaires fly to Washington in their private jets and silk suits begging for billions more from their good friends in the Republican Party -- AND GETTING IT!!

I am all for injecting billions of dollars into our economy to help this country recover economically, but stop giving it to those who don't need it, refuse to hire affordable labor (bye-bye unions), and only misuse it for their own personal gain. God forbid they'd have to get rid of their private jets, fleets of luxury cars, countless castles, and million-dollar wardrobes and parties. Start holding them accountable for their own actions...and start holding those in Washington accountable for the decisions they make and the money they spend. Speak up and be heard!! At least now we'll have a president who will actually listen to us little people.

Sorry for the lengthy post, but it had to be said.

If Innocence is a state of denial that allows one to believe he cannot be responsible for anything, or being so dense you can't see the forest for the trees then Bush has innocence.
Bush sees his Presidency as successful because he accomplished exactly what he set out to accomplish; and that was to drain the economy dry and to make the oil industry and a few others very wealthy, he succeeded the economy in Houston is great and was all during his administration that is always sufficient proof according to Bush the economy is great.
While the number of people in extreme poverty in the rest of the country; those living on less than one half poverty level income, increased to 15.6 million in 2006 and rising; the highest level in America since 1975.
Not to mention the unemployment rate has hit a 16 year high equaling the unemployment level at the end of his Fathers term and approaching Reagans 9.4% at the end of his term

If innocence is declaring that a victory then Bush has an endearing innocence, but my vote is for dense, So dense he doesn't even know serving the oil industry was not what the people of America expected of a President elected to serve all 50 states, and not just a few cronies in Texas.

    • Posted By: Galasso @ 01/16/2009 12:35:58 AM

"Extreme Poverty?" There is no "poverty" in the US that even comes close to Latin American poverty which is not as bad as Asian poverty - which is not even close to African poverty. We don't have children living on the top of sanitary landfills like they have in Cairo and the Philippines. There are people living hand to mouth in the US but we don't have "extreme poverty" by any stretch of the imagination. You need to get out more.

      • Posted By: RO in Reno @ 01/16/2009 9:27:57 AM

The term extreme poverty is used to describe people living on less than 50% of poverty level income, which is over 15 million Americans. the fact there is greater poverty else where in the world does not make it OK for it to occur in this country.

        • Posted By: Galasso @ 01/16/2009 6:31:02 PM

That poverty level is a convenient sliding (political) bar. I was in law enforcement in a past life and no one starves to death in the US. Every bum, criminal, and the worst of society gets medical care and food before that happens. We spend billions on indigent care in the US for people w/o med insurance. Every single county government in the US has some kind of relief or people in dire straits - and now we are providing indigent care for millions of illegals. One of the things that is never brought up when the "poverty" issue is how many of these people are responsible for their own situation and when social workers have to go back again and again to the same houses - with law enforcement - offering (state sponsored) options to improve their situations - it becomes an exercise in futility. But again - there is no "extreme povery" in the US - that is why so many people are risking everything to get here.

Cheney/Bush Administration aka Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Adios Dumb_ss! The Cheney/Bush years are a disgrace and embarrassment now plus will be for years to come. It was a very dumbfounding time in 2004 that Bush rec'd any votes let alone actually be re-elected whether by electoral votes or not. Why does Bush look like crap - his conscience FINALLY getting to him? He looks quite sickly (as he should)!

  • Posted By: jlgab @ 01/16/2009 6:24:12 PM

The media coverage is always about soldiers supporting the corrupt Bush war in Iraq, where is the FAIR coverage for the soldiers who realize their idiot Commander in Chief lied and started a corrupt war? There are lots of soldiers who feel that way, I have talked to them. Where is their coverage? Where is the media coverage about our military women who are getting raped by the gang-bangers who have enlisted in the military? Bush Administration keeping that quiet and bullying the news networks, like when Dan Rather got fired for simply inquiring about the gaps in Bush's national guard records. Why are gang-bangers enlisting in the military? - who else wants to fight a corrupt war? How are gang-bangers being able to enlist? - military requirements have been dropped because new recruits and RE-enlisting numbers have plummeted. And what about the alarming number of suicides among our military personnel?

  • Posted By: jlgab @ 01/16/2009 6:23:18 PM

Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld - Weapons of Mass Destruction, Weapons of Mass Destruction Well, where are the Weapons of Mass Destruction? You get ONE guess where the Weapons of Mass Destruction are NOT located. The basis for why we invaded Iraq yet there are NO Weapons of Mass Destruction, yet WE are still there. We got Weapons of Mass Destruction drilled into our heads by those idiots because of all the media coverage those idiots got. Biased Liberal media coverage - You have got to be kidding!

  • Posted By: jlgab @ 01/16/2009 6:20:50 PM

The REAL lasting imprint this idiot made was starting a war in Iraq based off lies, thus, killing thousands of American soldiers - apparently this is not important to Bushwackers.

For Bush to start a war in Iraq off lies and not be held accountable, furthermore then getting RE-elected after all his lies, corruption, and ever embarrassingly stupid speeches, is truly beyond comprehension and a warped sense of Patriotism. A true insult to the service of veterans especially the vets who never returned home.

Bush worst and dumbest EVER! He was never president over ALL the people of this fine country. If you want to be president of a country, you HAVE to be leader of ALL the people, not just the rich ones, not just the ones that look like you, and not just the ones of your political party. Personal goals were more important to Bush rather than being honest and good and moral. At any cost and using any corrupt means would that thick-skulled idiot use to reach HIS and Cheney's goals. Bush, The First Puppet-President - pathetic!

  • Posted By: jlgab @ 01/16/2009 6:13:14 PM

Bush shredded the constitution plus thumbed his nose at International Laws. He issued the declaration of war without the proper signatures needed which passed thanks to the Republican Congress. He violated Article 3 of the Geneva Convention. He supported and condoned Waterboarding even though the U.S. prosecuted these exact actions during the Vietnam War as torture. Guantanamo Bay - if that isn't the end all behind stupidity and corruption NOTHING is! A U.S. prosecutor assigned to charge a Guantanamo detainee refused to prosecute the detainee due to the obvious torture done to the detainee. The U.S. prosecutor said all evidence obtained to be used against the detainee was in-admissible due to the tortuous conditions.

  • Posted By: jlgab @ 01/16/2009 6:12:13 PM

The Cheney/Bush Administration created new generations of Terrorists with their Gitmo mess. Cheney/Bush can't just hold people indefinitely without evidence or a trial! They made up stuff as they went along because the situation they created was over their heads - they have been in over their heads for 8 years. If the detainees are terrorists, then try them and hang them! If the detainees have not given up any pertinent information thus far - they WON'T ever give up information so give them a trial already! The Cheney/Bush Administration with this corrupt illegal Guantanamo Bay camp have sentenced our own soldiers to tortuous conditions if they are ever captured.
