What a disgustingly sadistic human nature!

When someone is down or out, practically all fingers are pointing at the person, irrespective of the fact that he or she may not be the one to be faulted. On the other hand, when another person is up or in, all praise goes to the person, as if he or she is the new savior, to be given every credit even when it is not due.

Why can???t Bush be left alone?

    Ha ha,

I thought this article was going to have a very different tone and subject. This is news?

Seriously, people in urban areas should be using public transit for their commuting, I find it insufferable to listen to drivers whine about traffic, when they themselves are contributing to th etraffic.

Offhand: we should take this bail out money that we're funneling to the archaic automobile industry and use it to revamp our public transit. THis would be both economically, and environmentally viable......

Did anyone see Dick Cheney in that wheelchair yesterday? Did he have an uncanny resemblance to that rickety old good for nothing miser Mr. Potter in "its a Wonderful Life"?

The man is an extreme sociopathic personality, a manipulator personified, a con-artist without any conscience. For eight years George W. Bush has stood before the American people, the world, and simply lied without hesitation or reservation to justify and rationalize most every position he has ever taken and then thumbed his nose at everyone as if to say it was his right and something everyone should just put up with. Now he has the complete nerve to play-act humble and to recruit his co-conspirators to talk him up as a genuine quality person of conscientious and concerned character. Not only is all of that ridiculous but it is also a lot of arrogant boldness that is totally offensive. George W. Bush (& DCheney) has spent the last eight years arrogantly and belligerently pursuing a private agenda for the sole benefit of Special Interests and a select few who have both overtly and covertly supported him, contributed to his campaigns and given him promises for after office compensation (???kickbacks???) all while he has given the average American only apathy, the costs and an abundance of subterfuge. To now allow history to be colored in order to say otherwise would be a real twisting of the truth and an insult to all who suffer as a result of his dishonest, irresponsible and self-serving behavior. He literally is the worst president this country has ever seen and now he is trying to coerce history, even as we are surrounded with all of the proof to the contrary. He manipulated public opinion in 2000, again in 2004, often in-route and now he is trying once more in 2009. The man is simply disgusting!

Excuse me but who said Obama had to stay downtown in a plush hotel? Find someplace else that doesn't mess with traffic. Quite the nice parting blast on blaming Bush for yet one other thing that he really has no part in. So is Newsweek just trying its best to find out how many things it can blame Bush for before he leaves office? Nice try at trying to be serious journalists here. Your magazine is one step away from being one the same level as the Star and The Enquirer!

I have a question Katie, why blame Bush as you so eloquently put it, why not blame obama? After all it is HIS security detail, and from what I've heard he has more security than any other President before him?

So now the media is down to blaming the President for traffic problems because he didnt expel a diplomat in favor of the President Elect? How much longer do we have to hear that EVERYTHING is President Bush's fault?

The really disheartening part is that these liberal weenies are serious when they write this nonsense! Wow, our news media in action...

Yes, so much more pathetic than the great journalism at Fox, who write compelling articles on so many important things like American Idol and the virtues of abstanance....

Yes or MSNBC and they are intellectual midgets who don't even have the guts to bring in differing opiniions. Oh I did forget that Pat Bucahannan was their token conservative/ Of course Keith Odorman is too insecure to bring on dissenters. Who can blame Odorman though? After all, Odorman's IQ is lower than Fairbanks, Alaska's average January low. And how about Andrea Mitchell? Didn't Andrea come in third at last year's Kentucky Derby?
