The Good Word

Though it's been eclipsed by new technologies, there is nothing as valuable or revelatory as a good letter. So how will future generations remember this moment in history?

Thanks for this article! I've been thinking of teaching a course on the history and art of letter writing at the high school or even college level. Both writing and receiving letters always bring me joy. And if you want a job from me, you better write me a handwriten thank you note!

We must all take the time out of our busy lives, especially when key events happen in our lives. These things should be written down and enjoyed by our future selves or loved ones. There is nothing more powerful than the written letter, nothing more emotional to receive. You can write to yourself or to others at www.posttothefuture.com and they will actually print and post your letter to anyone and any future date. So I dont have to worry about loosing my letters or throwing them out by mistake!
