At least he did two things right in his last days - not pardoning Libby and letting two American heroes go free!

Francine, not a big ego and I too will support President Obama, I will agree with him when I think he is right and I will oppose him when I think he is wrong, And I will do it all without calling ANYBODY a negative name, for that would make me ignorant.
I do, however disagree with you on one major item, common sense is at an all time low in America and I think you know that!
((( "George Bush has always prided himself on doing the right thing regardless of the polls or the pundits," [an immoral neocon] said. "Now he is leaving office with a shameful cloud over his head." )))
George Bush has been the most poll-driven president in history, yet he never once did the right thing. I agree, there's a shameful cloud over his head, but not pardoning Scooter Libby is just about the only silver lining in that cloud.
George Bush has never been poll drive, you have him confussed with Obama. If Bush was poll driven, we would not have a nation of illegal insurgents raping the system and business's refusing to hire Legal American tax paying citizens.
Thank you GWBasher. Republicans always seem to forget the ugly trail of lies and theft that caues poverty to increase and fear and hatred to run wild. I'm so excited about tomorrow. We finally have a chance to help all the victims of the Bush policies that have caued our great country to collapse. At noon tomorrow a new future begins.
Ok boyz, Haveabrain and Dr. Crane....Get your big egos out of the way and I think you will agree our opinons do not matter....what matters for the USA is for the next 4 years to improve our present situation. Too many big brained people who thought they knew what was best ...got us into a terrible mess....and once again the common sense people of America will have to come to the rescue eventhough we did not want to. I did not vote for B.O. I will back him becuase I am a bigger "MAN" than both of you...P.S. I am a women, the daughter of a Father who grew up in the Great Depression.... and fought in WWII.... and most of the boyz we have leading this nation could not tie his shoes or any of his childerns......God BLESS AMERICA..
Frugal Francine.....very greatful for my roots.
That Libby received any leniency is something for which neo-cons should be grateful. The president proclaimed quite clearly that anyone who broke the law in the Valerie Plame case would be punished. He waffled, but at least he kept his word to some extent.
We should have the constitution amended and get rid of the power of the president to pardon. This is the most archaic feudal law ever written. The president is not a feudal lord, a power unto himself where he can arbitrarily pardon anyone he pleases without any reason or justification. The writers of the constiturion must have been drinking heavily when they wrote this part of the constitution. The problem is that the political elite of this country have problem never sat down and actually discussed or debated the merits of the constitution.

re: Ted Kennedy and haveabrain's comments below - I am impressed by your command of the facts. Your well informed opinions backed up by observable, substantiated facts encourage me to join your cause. I, too, disagree with "the mighty Obama." Haveabrain's observation that liberals vote for somebody simply because "he's a smooth talker" seems dead on. After all, it is indisputable that everybody who voted for George W. Bush voted for him, not because he seems like a cool guy to have a beer with (definitly cooler than Gore or Kerry!) or simply because he is consistently conservative, but because he always had a knack for thinking things through. His command of the economy and our success in capturing Osama bin Laden further provev that Republicans are invariably a better choice than those liberals who have no such similar achievements of note. Obama, alas, seems at a loss for words when asked his opinions concerning our national secutiry and our economy. Combine that with his inability to network and seek the input of the brightest minds in either the economy or national security and the future for America does, indeed, look bleak.
Halfabrain is only proving my point that he has 0brains. President elect Obama did not vote for the war and yes Bill and Hillary thought that there were WMD but they didn't start a war. I can put you out of your misery with a frontalabotomy.
LOL...everyone at Google???
Bill and Hillary said Iraq had em, so did almost every democrat who voted to approve the war...including Mr. Obama at the time.....FACT
MMikey, thanks for proving my point!
Haveabrain should be halfabrain. You want facts. How about telling the American people that Iraq had WMD to start a war that cost trillions of dollars and cost thousands of American lives. You say you pick qualified and experienced canidates. Bush was no more qualified and experiened to run our country than a donkey. You mistake "smooth talking" for intelligence the same way you mistook Bush as a qualifed president.
How many states are there in the USA? Who are your State's senators? What Continent is Iraq on? Who is on the Supreme Court? Why is BET ok, but WET racist? Answer all these questions folks and when you realize you dont know most of the answers, realize that people just like you are the one's who answer polls. Get the picture?
Believe it, beloved.
Hey "haveabrain" - so, you neo-clowns still need somebody else to fill you in, hum. Well, perhaps you could make a list yurself, thus proving foundabrain.
I'm checking out, your giviing me a headache, lol
Carter did a great job too.......yuck
"Polls is controlled by the Media, no sense in voting for a president if the president made decisions according to what the polls say."
My biggest beef with the GOP and Bush is their disdain for anything intellectual---witness the above comment! Bush embraced stupidity as if it were a virtue, and those who continue to support his failed administration are relegated to the dustbin of history. Trying to do a revision of the past eight years is like whitewashing the outhouse---the stink is still in there.
Fear not, our savior will be in office tomorrow, the mighty Obama! Socialism will save us all, thank you Obama!
You liberals make me sick.
Thank goodness our saviour Obama is President tomorrow. Socialism is going to save us. All praise Obama!
You liberal's make me sick :(
