In an interview with Congo's ex Minister of Finance during a documentary on Mobutu screened by Canal +, he was asked how he ended up living in such luxury, given he was mere civil servant. He answered : "It's simple, the President would ask me for a million dollars, I would ask the governor of the central bank for 2 million, and he would take out 3 million". Everyone wins!

I think he is severely misunderstood.

Interview with the Oppression Apprentice. Chief economic and pilferage strategist in a fallen world, if they had a pic of him, in the background would have been a printing press full of new banknotes and he'd be wearing blue overalls. Stop printing i say, one day it will all be over, i wonder where he will be? hmm

The questions posed to him masterfully pronounced his shortcomings. A skillfully executed interview.

I want to say that economic corruption and indiscipline is not unique to Zimbabwe as for it is very rampant and widespread in the US. Local and state governments here are very sick sick greedy people that choose to steal money from the federal government by means of oppressing the citizens, maliciously prosecuting them and then when there are real crimes being commited they turn it into a circus and end up going the completely opposite of real justice. In short, the local and State governments here are really sticking it to the FEDS and Citizens.

As a Zimbabwean I am not astonished at Gono's empty bravado. My problem is that our mental health system is none existent to treat his delusions of grandeur and to rid him of his fantasist streak! Apart from the support from a section of cranky ZANU people and the tyrant who rewarded him with another term at RBZ, he has absolutely got ZERO credibility in the eyes of all Zimbabweans.

Gideon Gono, Reserve Bank Governor of Zimbabwe, is the man that makes possible Mugabe???s continued oppression of millions of innocent Zimbabweans. Gono funds the fear by channeling, what should be public finances, directly to Mugabe???s militia???s to enable them to conduct their campaigns of terror. Gono rewards repression by allocating farms, equipment and precious foreign currency to the army generals and other key Mugabe allies. In addition to being the key enabler for Mugabe???s reign of terror, Gono has also been responsible for the deaths of thousands of Zimbabweans through his looting of funds that should have been spent on health care, food and electricity.
