Lightningz, it does not matter what the "oldest scroll" says. The New Testament says that sins are irrelevant for those that follow Jesus. They are saved.

Forgot to hit omn the makeover thing thats not happening also. its says in the book no more hunger and no more tears. and you get your same old look but a new foarm not better looking due to god loves people for who they or. saying it does not make it so by no means. For if one knows the book they will also understand everyone will have there time in hell. Unless you never sined or had sex. But even hell is after new earth & heaven. why do everyone think you goto heaven when none of the bibles says that. unless you never had sex or sined.reporters like this keeps us back in the stone age. Hell bibles from the 1400 - now Not even one says you will go to heaven or hell. As i recall ONLY NON Sinners and people who NEVER had sex will go to heaven. and that will not even happen till the 2nd coming of god. till then when you die you sleep is what the bible says. till the 2nd coming. also that other crap this reporter wrote is crap also. then your saying whrere do the siners go. Good question Hell where do the forgaven ones go new earth not heaven.

Very few persons beyond childhood seriously believe in life after death in a literal sense-- that we will have memories, thoughts, an ego or the same sense of self that we do while we are alive. Everyone knows intuitively that death will be just like it was before we were born-- we won't exist personally. In a metaphorical sense however, our essential, universal identiy continues, and teachings about this can be deliberately misconstrued by those who are afraid of non-existence so they can pretend that they will not really die. Preachers who exploit people's fears about death by promising them eternal life are really evil.

Does it matter? Is it mandatory to argue on this issue to be saved by our Lord?
I don't think so.

It makes sense to me, and it was taught me by what I consider "usually reliable sources" whom I have interviewed for many years. It comes from no religion, theologian or cult. LIsa Miller, please read it and see what you think of the ideas therein, compared to what other ideas you heard from your sources for this story.

Can't help but recall the scene from "Forrest Gump" where Lt. Dan throws his whiskey bottle across the room and asks Forrest if he heard him correctly.

So - which body does Lt. Dan get to take - the one with his legs, or without his legs, or without his legs but with his prosthetics, since this last body is the body he has found the most spiritual peace in? Or maybe he takes his 10-yr old body, or his 15-yr old body, or...

I believe it will be a transformation of the body so that it becomes immortal as paul states in Corinthians. But we dont have to argue with non believers about credulity of the bible. God is not known by explaining events but by revelation, the result of which is immovable faith in the word of God as recorded in the Bible.Jesus is an embodiment of simplicity. If men would just simply believe the Bible, things would be okay.Problem is we try to reason out things and mar our experiences.
